Decently trashy, worth the read

So it's trashy, but it's less of a pile of hot, wet trash you wallow in for depravity's own sake, and more of a well-sealed bag of rubbish that gives you pause when you notice the bag's surprisingly pleasant floral aroma. It's pure wish-fulfillmentof course, with a main character lacking almost all physical description to act as the readers self-insert, trucking along solving every problem, winning every argument and getting every girl by the smallest wave of his hand. We all know why we're here though, and it's not to expand our cultural horizons and explore thought-provoking literature. A word to the wise though: the cover and title alludes to this mainly being a pornographic novel, not so. There are a couple of passionate scenes, but not nearly the amount you'd expect with the words "harem adventure" in the title. I fully admit to going into the book with skewed expectations, wanting not more than a series of naughty scenes strung together by a paper-thin plot. The lack of continuous indecent escapades wasn't a deal breaker though, as said plot was serviceable enough to warrant a full read. I even admit to a very decent chuckle at some of the banther made between the wolves in the story. All in all, if you're the type of person to spend money on a book titled "Bunnygirls, a bunny girl harem adventure" you probably won't regret the time investment of reading it.

Was just ok, nothing special.

For being about bunny girls it was lacking in sex. The little of what the book did have was detailed but not graphic. Honestly I'm tired of the excuse we don't have time, after the mission, after the fight we will find time. The issue with this type of thinking is tomorrow is not guaranteed. What are you fighting for if not to enjoy life?

The major boss fights was lacking and at times hard to follow. I get this is a world of magic but some basic principles should be followed to make the fights more realistic.

I will give book 2 a read but if it continues in the same patten as this book I won't be continuing the series.

Rough and ready outdoorsman finds adventure

Urban fantasy harem with very few and very discreet adult situations
The story is good. The pacing decent, and action believable. Characters were clear, too. I don't mind first-person writing. However, I am not a fan of that first-person storytelling bouncing from character to character. Fortunately, only the first three chapters and the last one had these annoying switches; the rest of the story kept to the MC's perspective, and that literally saved it. I write myself, and prefer third-person, but one of my most popular series is written in first-person, but a cardinal rule for me is I don't change the focus to other characters.
I think this switching was done in an effort to try an enhance the drama. In the first chapter, the character was being tortured, followed by a dramatic rescue. The second chapter had a dramatic escape and met the MC. Some readers are able to take those switches without issue. For me, it's really jarring, and I had to pause and try to figure out who the new perepective belonged to, and that brings story momentum to a crashing halt, each time it happens. I have abandoned other stories for doing this tactic too often.
Again, after the third switch (to the MC), it stayed there for all but the last chapter, allowing the story to recover and proceed without further jarring interruptions. My position as a writer is if your story needs to jump arund like that, switch to third-person to reduce the confusion, and if need be, *rework the storyline.* Yes, first-person can be more dramatic, but it interrupts story momentum when you bounce around, and personally, I think it weakens the overall story.
Another point that nearly cost a star was the editing. I like the indie writers who strive to earn a living while telling entertaining stories. I've actually come to expect a few errors to slip through, and most times the story is worth ignoring a few mistakes. This story, however, had more than its share, though. Thankfully, most of those were at the start, but that's not where you want them because that can turn more readers off so they don't bother to finish. Most of the errors were punctuation related to dialog, and all the ones I highlighted will show up on Goodreads. Besides writing, I read for other writers, and highlighting mistakes is now a habit of mine. When I see them, they jump out, and if I see a lot, it makes me wonder if an editor was even hired. Mistakes turn off readers, and if there are too many, it doesn't matter how good the story is, the ratings will bomb. This isn't Archer's first book, so hopefully this was an anomoly.
So, back to the story. The author has told a decent diverting tale, with presumably follow-up volumes if sales warrant it. There are several mysteries unresolved at the end, and the irksome first-person switch in the last chapter hinting at more yet to be revealed about magic, bunnies, hares, and wolves.
I want to recommend this story; as I said, for 85% of the tale, there were no sudden changes that forced me to stop and try to figure out what was going on. I would enjoy reading more of the story. Again, some readers are okay with such writing tactics. I'm not. The more than usual number of errors and perspective changes had me considering whether the story still had enough "hook" to push on.
Was I entertained? Yes. The bad guys were truly evil, and there were two Boss fights. But getting there was more work than I expected. Cautious 4*

Storyline Within a Story

The story is written well and I never lost the stories when the time line jumps.

"As Rabbits, We must get back what was once ours, from the Wolves!"
A good guy, Hank, that is helpful to others and a loaner gets portaled into a world where the Wolves are the bosses and the Rabbits are the help and slaves that are brutally treated by their masters. Hank fights, with a sexy hare, for the rabbits freedom. Through multiple battles using his cunning, knowledge, and sexy brute force from his hare Hank finds magic and his guns have of no match in the world of Wolves.

I enjoyed the adventure, cunning moves Hank comes up with, and the more sexy observations with a little sex thrown in. The read was easy and constantly holding my attention. I had to know what happened next and anticipated things that 'may' happen. I'm excited to know whats next and looking forward to becoming more powerful.

The book is about a homeless handyman hunter who invades another world with modern day firearms to overthrow the evil wolf men who tyrannically rule all the hot bunny girls.
Problem is the writer knows nothing about handyman skills, firearms, hunting and survival in general.
For example the rifle he uses is a .700 caliber, considered overkill for hunting elephants and sells for about 100-500k usd rounds go for 150 dollar a piece. Seems pricey for someone who works for room and board. He uses this rifle to hunt and eat small game (which somehow doesn't get vaporized or needs to scraped off trees).
I actually cringed when he gave a girl who had never seen a firearm before his loaded handgun without thought or comment.

The book is absolutely filled with weird stuff like that. A quick search on google could've helped this guy out a lot.

Truly Awesome Book!

This was a wonderful story to read. As not only was the book's story and it's characters fun to read about. The magic system, storyline, and nature of the characters. Were innovative and very close to unique. Also the story left hanging a major plot point. Exactly where do the new wolves come from and what's wrong with their species. What is the memory problem plaguing their race.

Boring

The book was boring and did not have any real Plata any action I mean it was just out right boring not to mention that the interaction between the main character and the bunnies was just stupid. I don't recommend this novel. I shall not be reading the sequels. This is the second novel series of by this author I won't be reading anymore he just doesn't know how to write in my opinion.

Interesting

This was a humorous story, with good characters and a different plot. With two species in conflict between bunnies and wolves With wolves having the upper hand. But not for long! Hank is a bull in the China shop of the wolves world and rocks it while grateful bunnies rock his. Fun book you're going to enjoy!

The plot is straightforward, but not particularly interesting. The main character kicks the butts of all of the bad guys. Let the bunnygirl cuddling commence!

If you are a fan of bunnygirls, maybe you are looking for this type of book. In that case, go for it.

It was a different type of book that wasn't all that special. I guess I am just not the bunnygirl type...

Nice story that doesn't take itself too seriously. The MC was good at being MC but he left a lot to be desired as a harem master. Also, the culture clashing, y'know, the slaves constantly apologizing and and begging forgiveness for speaking out of turn, only for MC to keep telling them it's fine, that got annoying.

Very creative and highly imaginative

The author does an excellent job of allowing the creativity of the main character to change when handling different and varying situations. The plot is very sparsely given room to grow which definitely keeps the reader guessing what will happen next.

A great read

This was a very enjoyable read. The characters were funny and had good personalities, the world was interesting without taking half the book to build. Yes, there are sex scenes, but they are not the focus, more just extra flavoring.

Nothing all that wrong with this one.

So this was not written badly or edited poorly, the problem is it just is not any fun to read. I found myself skimming over lines to just get it over with. I did it without thinking. That is a sign that this is just not any good.

Great concept!

Another great first book in a series that promises action, suspense and some humor! I don’t know how Simon does it, he makes it seem so effortless. Keeping plot lines straight as well as full of details.
I can’t wait for vol.2!

Bunnygirls

Bunnygirls: A Bunnygirl Harem Adventure is a great read. His books are all excellent books. "Bunnygirls " is a great example of our society's norms with the morals being screwed up as they are.

Fun read

Enjoyable and lots are the best descriptions for this adventure.
The story flows easily, and is a good way to spend 30 minutes a day in a place that is somewhere away from the daily grind.
Thank you Simon Archer

Bunnies everywhere

It seems different worlds have different species that talk and of course have to kill to prove themselves. But here comes a hero from another world to save the day.

Bugs Bunnies

I read passages out loud to my wife, just to watch her roll her eyes. I find your tongue in cheek style in this book your best style to write another book.

Confused

This book was a hard read. I had to make myself keep reading. Sorry but not all books deserve a sequel.

There's nothing obviously wrong with the book, yet I found it not fun to read at all. Ended up skimming over a lot of lines in later half of the book.
