This book manages to be both really filthy and really wholesome and I love it. This would have been 5 stars but I am mad it ended on an emotional cliffhanger.
The Titan's Bride Vol. 2 picks up where vol 1 left off. Kouichi and Caius are searching for a Raisa fruit, the cure to Kouichi's poison.
Kouichi's and Caius' relationship development while on this adventure was everything. Their love deepened, and in Kouichi's case he finally admits to his feelings.
The plot was also well done. It's not all about the spice. We get more insight to this world, the way it and the different races work and interact with each other.
We also get some nice side character development. Malthu's and Baro's bickering was so funny!
I'm glad I already have volume 3 on hand because that cliffhanger has me desperate to know what happens next!!
2,5 estrellas.
More wonderfully explicit content after the intense journey for the Risa fruit. It will be interesting to see how things end in the next volume. What is this secret the titans are keeping from Kouichi.
I’m LOVING this series. Caius and Kouichi are just too dang cute! They have one of the cutest little romances as they fall for each other. Yea, there’s a ton of smut, but it’s soooo good!
We also have some funny side characters, like Baro. He cracks me up! He’s so innocently trouble, and I like how he’s welcomed into Caius’ kingdom. EVERYONE loved their Prince and his soon to be bride. It’s quite adorable.
The smut is hot af. That size difference is to die for!
At the end though I’m so sad!!! I know why Kouichi is making his choice but poor Caius!! I really hope everything works out because I have come to really like this odd couple and their little romance!
While the cover is pretty self-explanatory for what awaited me inside this manga, I'm also coming to really enjoy the storyline. In this one, we find the MC starting to come to terms with his circumstances and the importance of whatever choice he makes.
I am also intrigued by the secret everyone is seemingly keeping from him.
And yes, this manga is very, erm, sexual, but there IS a storyline in there and it is, at times, quite heartfelt. I also like the fact that the MC has a big heart and his past trauma isn't something he just magically forgot when faced when um, certain large anatomies.
No judging. I've been reading nothing but stuff for my BA, I deserve this and I refuse to not put this on my goodreads. But goddamn I love this series Caius and Koichi are just so damn sweet together and love each other so much it makes me weep. Is it porn? Yes. Is it adorable? Yes and I love it. I really liked getting more insight into other regions of the world and seeing other species than the titans. It's got way more world building than I expected from the cover and I ended up enjoying it quite a lot. The first scene was a bit uncomfortable but honestly I don't think I've ever read BL that doesn't have at least one uncomfortable scene.
This series continues to somehow be so incredibly explicit but also so incredibly sweet, kind, and lovely. All the steam evolves out of understandable passion and celebration, not just thrown in for steam sake.
All in all, I enjoy my time with these *very active* characters and the world they're building.
Plus, mystery cliffhanger...? You'll see me in volume three ASAP.
Reading this series makes me feel like I’m going straight to hell 😂 I’m gonna keep reading tho 🙊
The most foul thing about this volume is that Kouichi gets r*ped, and we’re just supposed to move on. My guy even forgives his r*pist so easily 💀 My soul left my body. We did not need such an explicit scene of r*pe. Like, please. Some restraint.
Anyway. That aside. I’m glad we got to see Caius and Kouichi bond some more in this volume. Caius was really out here kicking ass for Kouichi 🙏🏼 Bless.
I’m glad too that we explored more of Kouichi’s past trauma which is part of what leads him to make the decision he does in the end. Poor guy really loved his mom 🥺
I do wonder though if the wolf guy is right and there’s more that Caius and the titans are hiding. After all, Caius did drop a massive bomb on Kouichi at the end of this volume 👀
So, I continue intrigued. And continue living for the absolutely obnoxious smut in this manga series 😂 I’m deceased!
