Return to Virgin River for the holidays with these two stories from the beloved series by New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr.
A Virgin River Christmas
Last Christmas Marcie Sullivan said a final goodbye to her husband. This Christmas she's come to Virgin River to find the man who saved his life and gave her three more years to love him.
Marcie tracks Ian Buchanan to the tiny mountain town and, as she pushes her way into his rugged and reclusive life, she discovers a sweet but damaged soul beneath a rough exterior.
Ian doesn't know what to make of the determined young widow who forces him to look into the painful past and, what's worse, the uncertain future. But it is, after all, a season of miracles, and maybe, just maybe, it's time to banish the ghosts and open his heart.
Under the Christmas Tree
With snow falling over the redwood forests, secluded Virgin River is the ideal place to spend the holidays. Each year, the close-knit community gathers in the town square to decorate and light a massive tree. Carols are sung, hot chocolate is shared-and this year, a surprise is about to bring two special people together. When the townsfolk discover a box of adorable puppies under the town's Christmas tree, they call local vet Nathaniel Jensen for help. But it's his budding romance with Annie McCarty that really has tongues-and tails-wagging!

Two more episodes in the Virgin River Series. The first is the story of Marcie Sullivan and Ian Buchanen. Having run into them in later books in the series it was nice to get to read their unique story titled A Virgin Christmas. The second book in the anthology tells the story of local vet Nathaniel Jenson and Annie McCarty. I am pretty sure that I had read this one before.
Great holiday romance....follow Ian and Marcie as they find their way to a happy ever after. I loved every minute of this book and was sorry for it end.
Two Virgin River Christmas stories in one novel, a real bargain! I found this in a stack of books I was going through to donate to the library book sale and realized it didn't seen to have been read yet the cover blurbs seemed familiar. When I began reading I decided it was worth reading again since it was so enjoyable. The first story "A Virgin River Christmas" is an uplifting but sad story of a young widow's quest to find the man who saved her late husband's life during the Iraqi war. Ian Buchanan hasn't been seen or heard from in over two years and she wants to let him know Bobby has died and to thank him for giving them three more years together before he died. However, Ian doesn't want to be found and thus begins Marcie Sullivan's determined hunt for her husband's best friend. "Under the Christmas Tree" is about a box of abandoned puppies, Nate Janson, a vet, and Annie McCarty who rescues the pups. What could be more perfect right? Need I say more? Two enjoyable reads!
Two stories in one book. The first one was the best! The second one was a short Christmas romance. In the first one, Marcie goes looking for the best friend of her husband Bobby a marine who was seriously injured, lived for three years but never recovered and died. She finds the friend Ian living in Virgin River up on a mountain in a one room cabin and not wanting to be found. Ian doesn’t know what to make of Marcie who is determined to stay until she can get through to Ian her gratitude and get some answers to questions she has.
I loved the first story. A Virgin River Christmas. Great character development and story telling. The 2nd story was absolute trash. ( Under the Christmas Tree) it read like a middle school girl wrote it. I have a hard time believing this was really Robyn Carr writing at all. Do yourself a favor skip the second story.
This was super cute and sexy and Christmasy and all the feelings of a warm hug!! I liked the first story better because I loved the process in which the two main characters fell in love whereas the second one felt rushed. Granted, it was shorter than the first one but still, I liked it a lot too.
Two great holiday-themed stories in one book. Loved both stories. The second one was a quick story, but still just as sweet. The first one was heart-tugging. It made me cry. Loved both. Love all things Virgin River!
2.5 stars at most. The first story was 3 stars, but DNF the other short story. First story was an ok read. A bit old school and kinda bland. The 2nd story just wasn’t going anywhere and couldn’t keep my attention.
This book includes two Virgin River stories: A Virgin River Christmas and Under the Christmas Tree. I have already read and enjoyed the first. Under the Christmas Tree is about two people who meet over saving eight nearly newborn, motherless puppies.
I have enjoyed all of the Virgin River series i have read so far. I love the community gatherings they share with friends, family, neighbors and even strangers passing through their little area. Being there for others and of course family is always a plus
I liked it - she thought she had a friend & searched until she found him, Ian. Different kind of love story I enjoyed. I like the main characters of Virgin River.

Two Virgin River stories taken place at Christmas time. Close knit community, interesting characters. A Virgin River Christmas and Under the Christmas Tree. Both heartfelt stories.
The first 300 pages is a rewrite of a previously released novel. The last 100 pages is a badly written love story that is not up to Carr's standards at all.
A great addition to the Virginia River series. I was so happy to visit it again. Great cast of characters that draw you into the story. I loved every minute of it!
