A romantic suspense continuation of the Embers on Ice series. As Matt and Orion’s love grows, so does the trouble brewing in their little Montana town. Orion's insufferable ex has left, but not without one final warning: a bullet stashed in her coat pocket, stamped with a B.

Matt, her new interest, says he'll protect her. But Matt doesn't know what Boone is capable of. With Orion’s summer fire season approaching and Matt headed back to the city on an emergency call, Orion, alone, must face a past that doesn’t want to stay where it belongs.

Orion’s disappearance has Matt falling apart at the seams. His nightmares don’t help. Torn between love and regret, Matt pushes through the symptoms of PTSD, risking it all for her.

While trapped as a pawn in a black market scheme, Orion uncovers the reason for the recent violent disturbances of her peaceful home in the mountains. Orion will do anything to see justice served and peace preserved. She hopes Matt can forgive her for the choices she makes.

Can Orion save Matt from his traumatic past?
And will Matt be able to break free of his old ways and have faith in love again?

Filled with holiday humor, spicy but clean romance, some violence, light Christian themes, and a promise of more love to come.

Elysia Strife is a self-published author of sweet holiday romance as well as scifi novels. If you're looking for her science fiction, please visit that profile here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Amazon bestselling author Elysia Strife is best known for her sweet (often clean) holiday romance with tough but humble male leads and feisty but kind-hearted women. If you're looking for a cozy read with lots of treats, snuggles, a touch of humor, and happily ever afters, you're in the right place. Strife designs her books to be uplifting and inspirational escapes.

Her work typically features small towns, country settings, Christmas themes, and chivalrous characters who sometimes swear and get themselves into and out of suspenseful situations. Strife often pulls from her experience in the U.S. Air Force when writing her military characters and tense situations but always prefers her stories are tied up with a bow by the end.

She enjoys reading on rainy and snowy mornings with a Christmas-scented candle burning and a fire going, even if it’s just the fake one in her RV. Her stories are inspired by the strengths and sacrifices of those around her and fueled by caramel macchiatos and Twinkies.

Strife lives with an amazing man who can build anything he puts his mind to and a rescued dog that steals socks and chases the vacuum. Together, they travel the country—from the golden plains of North Dakota to the warm ocean of the southern Texas coast and back to the green valleys and vineyards of Oregon. Anywhere is home as long as they’re together.

This is a well written book with strong characters and an intriguing story line. The author once again brings a romantic suspense that had me glued to the pages. She deals with PTSD and relationships, adds in humor and a bit of danger and weaves an interesting story. Her scenes are painted perfectly and the story flows fluidly. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

Wildfire is a well written romantic suspense novel. Orion with her Irish roots and fiery temper is one strong woman who tends bar in winter and fights wildfires in the summer. She stands up for everyone she loves. Matt's past rears its ugly head in this book. When both Orion and Matt are captured, things really heat up suspense wise. I really enjoyed delving further into these characters and could not put the book down.

It Takes Two

This is the second book in the series and I am definitely hooked!

In this story we see all of Orion's strengths as well as her fiery Irish roots. Matt's past comes back and grabs them both. They only have each other to lean on and trust.

I think I read this book faster than the first and I can't wait time to fly so we get the next one!~

A great story with characters who strive to overcome obstacles in their path, as they move forward together to build a loving relationship. Matt and Orion don't give up on each other as they fight to protect what is precious. Acceptance and loyalty provide the impetus to face the future together. I am looking forward to Book 3 of the Embers on Ice series as Matt and Orion continue their journey!

In this second installment in the series, I was excited to see what was coming next for Orion and Matt. It got a bit confusing at times, because there were so many potential directions for their problems to be coming from. But ultimately, it jelled and kept me riveted to my kindle, waiting to see how it all was going to resolve. Looking forward to the last installment coming in May!

What a story

This was not what I was expecting. But was sucked in by the middle of the first chapter.
So get comfortable and ready for an unbelievable story.
