Didn't love it, not my favorite reading topic. Rather long and hard to get through at times - wouldn't recommend for casual reading. Did enjoy chapter 2, but chapters 5 & 6 were unfortunate. Such an interesting concept to take a test after reading a book, but it is a good way to gauge reading comprehension so there are pros and cons for sure. TLDR: only read it if you are interested in the topic, not for casual reading
This book was my main reading for this year so deserves to be on my list. Very dense, very very sad, and very educational - will be very very very upset if I have to read again!
Normally if I don’t like a book I just abandon it but I knew my only hope for maybe passing the exam was to read it cover to cover. However I do not at all recommend. No plot, unreliable narrator, no compelling characters, and definitely not a great flow. Only takeaway was that passing the CPA might be the hardest thing I ever do. If you’re interested in this book, may I suggest choosing a different career path/major first before choosing to read this.
This is the LONGEST book I have ever read and have to memorize for the FAR exam. It is not fun to read and study it, but I found the material easier to understand compared to Wiley. The review session is helping me understand the exam materials more. I should have bought this earlier instead of wasting time on Wiley.
