This book 'Beauty and The Beast and other stories ' written by Sarah Hines Stephens was given to me as a birthday present. I loved reading this book. Classic tales are very interesting books for me. Although this book is thin, however it is incredibly interesting. It is about the story of Beauty and The Beast, The Lady and the Lion and The Frog Prince. It has fictional stories. This book certainly ensured me to love this book and find it interesting. Beauty's family has lost it's entire fortune, her sisters are very cruel. Her father just angered a beast and the beast wants to marry Beauty. Now Beauty needs to spend her life with Beast. Will Beauty spend her life with the Beast ? Will the Beast kill beauty? To know the answers to these questions, read this book. This book also taught me some great various moral values. I hope everyone finds this book appealing. So, keep reading and keep enjoying !!!!

Tiga fairy tales dalam 1 buku tipis, lumayan buat nambah-nambah jumlah bacaan bulan ini.

Cerita pertama tentang Beauty and the Beast.
Cerita kedua tentang The lady and the Lion.
Cerita ketiga tentang The Princess and the Frog.

Ketiganya adalah dongeng yang cukup terkenal, jadi bacanya udah gak ada faktor surprise lagi. Udah bisa nebak jalan ceritanya kemana, dan endingnya bagaimana. Mayan lah buat refreshing dan bekal bercerita sebelum bobo ke anak :D

This little Scholastic book is one my great niece chose. There are two stories: Beauty and Beast and The Frog Prince. Neither are "Disneyized." She doesn't know it yet, but we'll be doing a Venn Diagram for Beast. Brrraaahhhh

This book is best for children and can also be enjoyed as an adult. This is the book where I discovered some other stories because I've known and watched Beauty and the Beast. It's a one sitting book and can be finish before the day ends.

It's a good book for one time read and for people who like books about fairytales, magic and love.

This book consisted of three short retold fairytales which are Beauty and the Beast, The Lady and the Lion and The Frog Prince. Out of these I liked Beauty and the Beast most. I didn't like the other two stories much.

I really liked the overall message of the story of Beauty and the Beast which is how morals, values and kindness are above appearance and any materialistic possessions.

Here are few lines that I liked the most-

"It is neither wit nor appearance that makes a good husband. It is good character, virtue and kindness. All qualities that Beast possesses."

"Pride, anger, greed and laziness are faults thay can be corrected. But only a miracle can cure a cruel envious heart."

Is interesting to read old stories that has been readapted by Disney, but nothing more.
