Yup. This was as great as I was hoping for. Was it a bit over written? Yes! But the smut, the swoons, and the angst made it worth the journey.

4.8 / 5.0 **FANFICTION** this is a Star Wars/HP crossover.

This was excellent. I was able to read it off of AO3 via my Kindle app, and I cannot emphasize how good it is.

FF qualifies, characters/setting/plot aren’t the original work of the author but the story crafted is. If you’re not someone that approves of fanfiction, this is not the story for you. It is nearly 50 chapters of absolute slow burn to smut to HEA with a generous dose of action and adventure mixed in. Knowing your HP will be essential as well as knowing your Star Wars Episode 7 to 9 movies.

This is very readable and it is extremely entertaining. Rey and Ben are crafted into the HP world almost as though they are meant to be there. The smut is just filthy and written concisely with no over ambitious details or scenarios. I really enjoyed the whole thing and am so pleased to see that I can find and log some of the content I find on AO3 here.

I recommend it if this is something you’re interested in. I cut my teeth on FF.net back in the 90s and was very pleased to see so much quality work is still being produced.

I did NOT think I would end up reading all 726 pages of this pls 💔💔

I LOVEDDD this story once it actually built up its plot because OH MY DAYS there is TOO much smut i wanted to quit reading halfway because of it :( So much so I was GLAD they got caught like bruh 😓

I'm basically spoiling this because I doubt any of you will read it mwahahahaha

And there was no real buildup to the big main action, just brief regards to some career fair and I didn't even think it was going to be a huge part of the story. Once it got there it got wayyy better and honestly the quality of the author's writing felt noticeably better as the fic progressed. And so cuteness!

Luke Skywalker in this is so silly why is he just a borderline junkie lmao his entry was so funny why was it funny 👽

Anyway when I started reading this I was NOT in the right mind because for some reason I thought that Rey and Ben would be dang CLASSMATES! 😨😨😨 They were in fact NOT! BLEURGH!! I HATE THIS TROPE!!!! GROSS!!!! AUTHOR MADE ME START FEELING "awww that's cute" NOT CUTE!!! disclaimer Rey is 18 OKAY?!?!?!

Anyway. the epilogues were so cute i luv 🥹. And then the last couple pages I was listening to like Adrienne Lenker and stuff like who does that and then I teared up a little :( whoever makes music like that is actually EVIL.
This book made me sad because I kept thinking about how Hogwarts isn't real and then they kept talking about ambitions and growing up and Rey was having her last day ever and her graduation at Hogwarts and that made me think about ME graduating literally in a year :(((((((( yes that made me very sad. AND THAT EVIL MUSIC IN MY HEADPHONES. >:(

But I say that that was the highlight of the story for me.

I think maybe this was the first book i got emotional to UGHHH :( 🥹

I can't believe I READ all of that!!!! so bittersweet and whatever!!! Well at least Ben didn't die :)

P.S, I was searching this fic on reddit (I found its pdf there in the first place) and found out that the author who wrote this also wrote THE HURRICANE WARS. Now i NEED to read that. THAT's why this fic got taken down from ao3...

Very steamy, 48 chapters to make you think and dream!
As always, Diasterisms dives very deep into the characters and brings out feelings from you you didn't even know existed!

It’s well written and I usually enjoy diasterism’s work, but in this fic Rey was portrayed as someone who is incredibly insecure and always looking for validation. Possibly because of her complicated relationship with her parents. While that is very common in real life, I did not enjoy it in this kind of setting. When I was 18 myself, I used to love the teacher/student trope, but looking back I see that I was way too young and vulnerable for a mature relationship like that. Rey is just too young here and still in school and I fear that books like these might send a wrong message.

La verdad esta muy bien escrito y desarrollado. Me gustaron mucho algunas escenas que están muy bien descritas por ejemplo la del cementerio fue genial. Realmente todo el despliegue de acción y tensión me mantuvo en vilo al igual que la escena del salón cuando Rey lanza ese hechizo. Me pareció acertado que tomará escenas originales de los libros y le agregara un pequeño detalle para crearlas como algo nuevo y que funciona con la historia. No tengo palabras sobre que haya mezclado la historia de Harry Potter con los personajes de la franquicia de Star Wars, dos mundos que amo en uno. Están muy bien captadas las personalidades de los protagonistas. Prácticamente podía visualizar a la perfección a Ben o Rey en esos diálogos o situaciones. Sobre su relación es adictiva y oscura y me gusto el desarrollo, aunque en un pequeño tramo si me pareció un poco sobrecargado con las escenas spicy, pero luego ya vuelve agarrar un buen ritmo con los eventos escolares, el Quidditch y demás.
No soy de leer fanfics pero este me sorprendió.

This was 80% Smut and 20% Teenage angst, and I was there for it throughout. I don't particularly like Reylo fics because they tend to make me a little uncomfortable, but this was a breeze to read. Absolutely loved it!
Ben Solo is the son of the MAGUSA's President, sent over to Hogwarts to teach to distance himself from a painful incident in his past. He meets Rey Niima, the resident poor muggleborn girl student with self-esteem issues, and they fall in love.
It was cute, full of angst because of the whole he is her teacher and she his student (even though she is 18), spicy to a level where I was clutching my imaginary pearls scandalized, and just SO TOOTH-ROTTINGLY SWEET.

Star Wars / Harry Potter Crossover

I loved that it was more of a Harry Potter story with the characters than just a mashup of both worlds. No under age romantics, as Rey is 18 when they started.

Basically a YA story with alot of smut thrown in. While I did like the story line, there was a lot of story that seemed a bit unnecessary, but i did still enjoy the story! Definitely a good read if you are a fan of Rey/Ben ~

But also cliche and slightly dumb and sometimes eye roll worthy and I loved it.
Honestly.
HOWEVER. There are 20 chapters that are STRAIGHT UP NOT NEEDED. So.
I dont know. Read chapter 1-26. Then skip to chapter 44 and you will have missed nothing. 😂

I had high hopes for this one, seemed right up my street when reading reviews and the synopsis. But first of all their relationship is WEIRD - I know it's meant to be hot. But bffr. There is so much wrong with it. And also! I personally didn't like how some of the scenes pivotal to the plot were essentially repackaged scenes from the actual hp storyline. It was a bit boring I think for me personally, I like things to be a bit more original. The first half was fun though!

i KNOW this is fanfiction but i’ve never watched star wars so this is just plain fiction to me ok 😤 i’m not usually a fan of taboo romance but this was definitely nuanced and she put thought and care into developing her characters so i felt it was a weighty romance. i truly had to dock a star for the intimacy scenes 😭 initially they were integral to plot development but then it just became too often and i skipped them all. other than that, i truly enjoyed this !
