A witch who must master her powers or everyone she loves will die.
The blood sacrifices have started again, and the gods are angry. Cosima Arko is looked down upon for being the weakest witch there in her coven. If something bad has happened, then you can bet she’s involved. Her life changes for the worse than the blood sacrifices start.
Cosima must overcome her internal wounds that have shattered her and embrace the path forward in discovering what she’s made of. When her sister is the next to be sacrifices, she must stop the Shadow Mage, or her sister will die.
This story is full of supernatural beings, both good and evil. The Argo twins are in the middle of everything. The head of their coven hated them. One sister is unable to get her powers to work and the other is very powerful. An elf is in love with one and wants to protect her. A werewolf is falling for the other, only he won’t admit it. You need to read this story to understand all the twists and turns.
A good introduction to several characters and the environment. Cosima Arko has the largest chip on her shoulder ever encountered: more like a planet or galaxy. Zarin Goldbach has had a death wish since the loss of Valentina. But their god, Valcrum, has designs on them. This a suggested read if you intend to follow the series. Otherwise, skip it.
Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Romantic. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.
Broken Witch is Kiesha Thomas's first installment in her Arko Witch Series. It is a charming and entertaining story filled with magic and mayhem, witches, shapeshifters, demons, angels, demon-angel offspring (DAOs) and vampires. The storyline is fast-paced and easy to read with the exception of some typos. The characters are well developed and engaging. With some proofreading this could be a 5.
An interesting and intriguing story. Without giving away any spoilers I found this book to entertaining and hard to.puy down. I'll be reading more as this story, and the author Kiesha, have grabbed my attention.
I feel like there could have been so much more in this book. So much of it could have been fleshed out, and by the end we haven't really gotten anywhere. Just seems like a brief story of how they all meet in preparation for the plot to actually start.
