5 COLLATERAL STARS! ★★★★★

It's always difficult to write a review when one of your favorite series has reached an end and you're afraid that your words don't do enough justice to it. That's the state I'm in right now and honestly, I'm gonna keep this one short because all that I've to say about this series has already been said from the very beginning :) Just know that I loved every single moment of it.
I've been dreading to pick this one up knowing that Sloane & Zeth's story will come to an end. Sure enough, all the burning questions we've had since Day 1 are finally going to be answered in this final instalment. But in a true Callie Hart fashion, this woman still manages to throw out some final major twists that had me gasping and one particular scene that left me in complete tears.
I still remember how I first picked Deviant up when I was new to GR and my first fellow GR buddy Amanda recc'ed it to me and how she graciously loaned me this book ♥ I've come a long way since then and so have this series. This also reminds me how grateful I am to have such amazing buddies on GR that share my equal passion of reading :') And with that, I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart ♥♥♥ (sorry for getting all sappy on everyone!!)
The entire series has been such a thrilling ride with so many extreme high and low moments, lovable characters that I've grown so attached to which makes it all truly bittersweet to see it end. Every book has succeeded in keeping me on the edge and this final one truly ended the series with a bang. Also, Zeth & Sloane has completely found their way into my heart and found a cozy spot on my list of favorite book couples.
Thank you Callie for giving us a perfect ending to a series and for bringing us along for an amazing ride. I cannot wait to read more from you ;)

I always knew reading the final book in the series wasn't going to be easy, I've become so invested in the characters Callie Hart has created and completely engrossed in the story and situations they find themselves in. In going into Collateral with the situation as it stood at the ending of Fallen, I knew the prices would be high and maybe the cost too great.

In truth I don't know where to start in reviewing this because as usual I don't want to say too much, but let's get the most important thing out of the way first....It's brilliant! Hang on to your seats, brilliant! For a series that I found built in strength, intrigue and suspense with every book, it would either sink or soar at the last hurdle and luckily for me, it was the latter. There were moments of extreme highs and devastating emotional lows and honestly times where I had to take a moment to cry, quite frankly.
In all the drama and craziness that occurs, the relationships of this dysfunctional gang was surprising a major focus for me. I love how much they care about each other and will always be there when needed. Zeth has never been in a more vulnerable position and on top of that we see him facing his own personal demons head on, all the while protecting what is his.

Zeth and Sloane's dynamic also takes on a new form, the sexual chemistry between is still present but the intimacy in their relationship matures. Zeth as impossible as it may seem, is even more desirable and takes on the role of the Dark version of Prince Charming.
There is some action that takes place off camera and rather than feel cheated, it rather ties in nicely with what will be the spin off to this series and will be Rebel's story to tell; which I'm very much looking forward to.
The Blood & Roses series is one of my favourites, it's been a crazy ride and though it may be the end of Zeth & Sloane's story, I seriously hope we see more of them in the future.

This Wonderful Series Comes to an End!!!
I'm Gonna Miss You Zeth. You Yummy Kinky Man...
Wow!!! What can I say? This series was Amazing!!! It is everything I want when reading erotica. Erotica with a serious plot, that's an action packed, page turner. We had the totally badass alpha lead, Zeth. When he wasn't committing violence for his mob boss, he was practicing wicked deviant sex!!!
I loved the heroine in this series. Sloane was strong, sassy and sarcastic as hell. Most of all she was a survivor that was determined to rescue her sister from the clutches of sexual slavery. By any means necessary.
The secondary characters were so evil and vile, while some were sexy as sin (I look forward to your books, Rebel and Michael).
And the main villain, Charlie, was the evil mob boss.
He was a murdering, sadistic, asshole that enjoyed manipulating others.
I highly recommend this series to everyone that likes a fast paced, action packed series, with a little deviant sex!

5 - She Hit this One Out of the Damn Park Stars!!!!!
OMG!!! What is there to say here? Ok, I will do you all a favor. I will do two versions of this review. First, here's the Cliffnotes:
It is fucking AWESOME, so just go and buy it now!!! Why are you even still reading this?? GO!!

Casting:
For those that like a touch more detail in their reviews, here we go...This was the absolutely perfect conclusion to one of my very favorite series EVER!! Couldn't have asked for anything more. I beyond loved it. It had the perfect blend of humor, HOTNESS, emotion, and soul-bending story that sucked me in from the word go! What gets you with this series is the quality of the writing! Not for nothing but Callie is a truly gifted writer. She has this brilliant way of writing a scene with such emotion and such humanity to it, that you are watching a movie play out in your head. I felt like I was on the final leg of this adventure right along with Zeth, Sloane, Michael, Rebel, Lacey, Pippa, and the rest of the crew.
I won't give away any part of the story and I won't tell you what it's about. I will just tell you that, we get ALL the answers we have been waiting for. As each book in this series has progressed, I have become more and more invested in this story, and fallen in love with it a little more each time, but in Collateral? All the stops were pulled. This book pulled the emotion out of me like no other!!
"She smiles, and that smile lights up my whole fucking world. 'I don't want a choice, Zeth. I just want you."
I loved watching Zeth and Sloane come completely full-circle within their characters. Their journey has just been so beautiful.
I always knew that the final book of this amazing series wasn't going to be easy, but WOW.. all of my very high expectations were blown out of the water. There are a ton of twists, and a ton of OMFG moments! One of which knocked me on my ass and OMG did I feel it and it HURT! But along with the hurt, we got so much heart-achingly beautiful emotion. It was so amazing to watch this journey and the growth of these characters.
"Tell me why. Tell me why you want to do this now." "Because I don't want to hurt her. Because I want to make her happy."
Let me just say that, for as much as I LOVED Zeth and Sloane, and believe me, I love them both a lot, I love the secondary characters that Callie has introduced us to almost just as much...Michael, Lacey, Pippa, Rebel, Alexis, Cade....did I mention Michael? ha!! They all bring something so special to the story, and without them, it wouldn't be the same.
All in all, BRAVO!! This is how a finale is done! I couldn't have loved it any more than I did!

Pretty much sums up my reading experience with this series!

I binged read this series over the last few days. They were addicting, so much so, that I’d finish a book and I wouldn’t even take the time to mark it finished on goodreads. I’d just move on to the next book. Referring to my reading experience as me being a crazed person wouldn't be an understatement.
With that said, I apologize because I had no idea that I wouldn’t be able to set the books down to review each one individually. Now that I’m done with the series I'm trying to remember what happened in certain books is hard because, to me, it’s one big story split into six books. To avoid devulging any spoilers I will keep this review brief.
During the course of these installments the character growth was brilliantly done. I loved all the characters... well except for the bad guys. Besides our hero and heroine (Zeth & Sloane) who I couldn't get enough of, my heart was captured by Lacey and Michael! Oh my gosh!! That’s a man I would like to get to know better. His loyalty, charm and swagger had me swooning to the very end! The world could use some more Michaels in it.
Holy hot tamales! The sexy times were off the charts! No worries they were throughout the whole series. Every man needs an inner Zeth when it comes to bedroom antics. *fanning myself*
Callie Hart has a new fan with me! When a book(s) can occupy my every thoughts that’s a winner for me. I’m lucky because this series was complete when I picked it up to read otherwise I would have gone nuts waiting for the next book.

5 I'm still in shock STARS
What an absolutely amazing series. It broke my heart and made me happy all at the same time. I'm so surprised how much I actually love each and every part of Blood & Roses. There was no filler book or lacking off. In fact I think it got even better towards the end.
There was always something going on, the story was moving fast, but it still felt like the characters were very well developed and everyone had their moment to shine and leave a mark.
I'm just utterly broken right now. There was this thing that happend around 55% and it shattered me and I'm just in awe that the author went there. I had a feeling something awful would happen, but this I didn't expect.
Now I really hope the next book I pick up will live up to the emotional ride I just went through.
I clearly would recommend this series to anyone who likes a bit of a gritty read, with messed up character and their somewhat questionable morals and crazy way of living and trying to survive.
And for the naughty book lover among you, there really is only one thing you need to know! You need to meet Zeth!
Yeah, exactly! It's good.
I have nothing to add at this point. I'm happy and I can't wait to devour Rebel in the near future. ;D

Collateral is the last book in the Blood & Roses series and it BLEW ME AWAY! I read this whole series back to back with only one detour. With each book I was drawn into the lives of Zeth and Sloane and let me tell you, there was NEVER a dull moment. Between the twists and turns, the danger, the action, the violence and the heat, this series commanded my attention.
Despite Zeth being a violent criminal, I definitely fell for him and his black bag. He was SO FUCKING SEXY. His back story was so very dark and tragic, no wonder he turned into the man he became. I loved reading about his struggle with his feelings towards Sloane. I LOVED that he finally opened up his heart to her.
Sloane, what an AMAZING heroine! She was smart, competent, and strong. She was willing to do whatever it took to find her sister even if it put her life in danger.
The attraction these two shared was undeniable. They SCORCHED the pages with the many sex scenes throughout the whole series. I have to admit that there was one scene that had me a bit uncomfortable. I’m really not into the whole pleasure pain thing but hey, that’s just me. Despite that, I still LOVED this series. In the end, I really enjoyed when they finally made love, the way he touched her, the way he kissed her and the way they looked into each other’s eyes, it was breathtaking.
The action scenes throughout demanded my total attention. I LOVE books that move and boy did these books move. There was always something happening, cars blowing up, guns a blazing, characters being beaten to a pulp, violent things happening everywhere.
Near the end something happened that I did not see coming. It broke my heart and made me an emotional mess. How I wished that had not happened. It was hard reading how Zeth, Sloane and yes even Michael dealt with this tragedy.
In the end things are wrapped up nicely and it looks like Zeth and Sloane’s life just might have the normalcy that they truly deserve.
My final thoughts; this was an AMAZING series filled with lies, deception, violence, betrayal, fantastic characters, loads of action and enough twists and turns that had me jumping from one book right into the next.

Near the end something happened that I did not see coming. It broke my heart and made me an emotional mess. How I wished that had not happened. It was hard reading how Zeth, Sloane and yes even Michael dealt with this tragedy.
In the end things are wrapped up nicely and it looks like Zeth and Sloane’s life just might have the normalcy that they truly deserve.
My final thoughts; this was an AMAZING series filled with lies, deception, violence, betrayal, fantastic characters, loads of action and enough twists and turns that had me jumping from one book right into the next.
Warning! This book is part of a series and it MUST be read in order.

6+++ BLOOD AND ROSES STARS
Serials are always a gamble because you never know if the next book will be as good as the last, if the plot and character development will be well done, hurried or completely missing and if the story flow, arc and finale will maintain the momentum of the story, be engaging and overall one great read. Well, Ms. Hart had the perfect recipe for the Blood & Roses series -- so well done that through ALL six novellas; I was riding a high, totally riveted and holding my breath.
The magic ingredients were:
One dark, dangerous, broken, volatile sexy beast of a man
One strong, smart, lonely, broken and beautiful leading lady
A dash of innocence lost, a broken soul but still a shining light
Mix in a handful of hot, sexy, men
and a madman,
Sprinkle loads of action,
bloody suspense,
a little bit of heat
and simmer with some heartbreak and tears
Let bake in some off the charts steamy sex escapades
And viola - one helluva HEA.
And to top it all off, Ms. Hart's writing style is creative and totally addictive. She sure can tell a fucking brilliant story!!
If you haven’t already figured it out, I highly recommend this series! If you love a walk on the dark and dangerously wild side with a hot hunk of savage beauty, then you will LOVE this series as much as I did!! Thank you Callie Hart!

6 Star ~best of the best~
I didn't want it to end. This is hands down one of the best series I've read ... Top 5!
Collateral - just like the rest of this series - is so intricate and artfully woven ... I never felt like I was just reading a book ... I felt like I was experiencing all the pain, anxiety and passion right along side the characters.
The characters ... Dear lord! I loved them! Zeth & Sloane are an amazingly strong & sexy couple. Their chemistry is off the charts! Watching them struggle and grow together was such an amazing gift.
And the secondary characters do so much more than fill in background space.
Ms. Hart has an outstanding ability to create characters that seem like real life people that she inserted into her story. They always felt truly authentic.
It took me nearly 5 days to write this review. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it & yet, I'm still unable to coherently express how phenomenal this story really is.
Thanks to my bestie Foxy for holding my hand & reading it with me.
Now I recommend everyone else to experience this awesomeness for themselves.

5 Hate to See it End stars!
Wow! What a rush this series was! I honestly had no idea how crazy this was going to be when I picked up Deviant months ago. I am so happy I took a chance on this one, as I usually try to stay clear from the serial novella. This series is amazing and is going down as one of my heart pumping favorites!
Be happy that you will get all of your questions answered in this one. Callie Hart wrapped everything up in the perfect suspense filled package! There was always so much going on, that I felt there may have been things missed, but after wracking my brain, I think everything came to a conclusion.
There is no way you could possibly write about what happened. It is something to experience for yourself.

We lose one of our beloved characters...

First things first, I want to thank my friend Sammy for reminding me how much I love this series and pushing me to read this one. I was frightened to say goodbye to zeth and I couldn't continue on reading this one knowing its our last time together..so thanks Sammy! If it weren't for you god knows how long it would've token me to read it.
I loved Zeth's and Sloane's relationship in this book. You can see the progression of their feelings from book 1 to now. That's also a favorite thing that I love about books, when we get to see our characters progress and we're there every step of the way.
Overall AMAZING book. Hopefully Callie will have mercy for us and publish another one.

I just finished Collateral , the sixth book of the BLOOD & ROSES series, and have so many emotions flowing through me that I don't know where to start. I’m trying to put my feelings to paper, but I just can’t find the words. It was a one hell of a damn phenomenal story!
Firstly, I’d like to say a big thank you to the author for her wonderful job. The writing was flawless and the character development perfect. This series is pure magic and it has everything I love in a book. It’s kind of like a mixture of drama, love, devotion, pain, action, blood, fear, sex, deceit, and then you have this thrilling plot, along with these two wonderfully questionable heroes, and I am just … wowed.
Ms. Callie Hart is so, so creative. She went from dark romance to thriller suspense fiction in a snap. And she did it flawlessly! High-stakes, non-stop action, plot twists that both surprise and excite, vibrant settings, and an intense pace that never lets up until the adrenalin packed climax. And the erotic scenes are sizzling hot, kinky, sexy and dirty!!
This story embraces a vast variety of worlds – the law, action-adventure, medicine, police, bdsm, crime, romance, religion, drugs. I'm not lying when I say this series is damn near perfect.

This sixth book in the Blood & Roses series, concludes the story of Zeth and Sloane. However, they are expected to make guest appearances in the upcoming spin-offs based upon other characters introduced in this series. Rebel, Michael, and possibly even Cade, will have their own books over the next year or two. I'm not sure if I'll be reading those or not. I enjoyed the characters, but there's something to be said for actually finishing a story.
I enjoyed this book and thought the ending was fitting, albeit a bit tragic in some regards. There was action and mystery, but by the end, all is revealed. I didn't have any burning questions left unanswered.
It didn't hold the same allure for me as some of the earlier books in the series. There isn't anything I can pinpoint in particular, I just wasn't as swept away by the story this time. It could be that the story was just winding down as it came to a conclusion, but more likely is that I was losing interest after having read the five prior books in the series over an extended period of time. In my experience, there are very few series that can stretch such a long span of time and volumes, while still maintaining a high level of interest and engagement. After a while, it just starts to feel tedious and redundant.
So, I'm glad I read it and I liked the series, but I'm also glad it's over. (If that makes any sense!) :)

I know a book (or series) is good when I feel just as sad about losing the characters as I do when I finish writing my own. And THAT'S how I felt about this series. I haven't really reviewed any of the others because I was too busy trying to get to the next one. So this review will serve as mine for the series.
Zeth and Sloane are great characters. The plot was detailed. And... (this is probably the highest praise I can give a book... because I am usually good at guessing them)- I didn't see any of the plot twists coming. The sex was steaming. There was a the perfect mix of suspense, mystery, romance, and heartbreak.

A wonderful ending to an awesome series! I will miss Zeth and Sloane; but am very happy to hear that we will get a story about her sister and the mysterious Rebel! Even better is knowing that Zeth and Sloane will pop up in future books that Ms. Hart will write.
This was an explosive installment in so many ways. So much happens, and it is important for the reader to read this before finding out any spoilers!!! Believe me, I can guarantee you will enjoy this finale! The sex is beyond smokin!!! WHEW! This couple knows how to burn, and some of their scenes are wicked intense! I loved them, and one in particular was achingly beautiful to me!

5++ “It’s a ten on the pleasure scale” Stars for this Series
Where do I begin?? Let me say, that I am floored by this author’s series. Each installment was written and developed with the complete story arc in mind and the author stayed true to her characters!! Without a doubt, Callie Hart has become a go-to author for me!
As the title implies, there will be collateral in order for Zeth and Sloane to survive. Who will succumb? You will have to read the series, but the author will take you on an incredible journey to get the answers you seek.
Zeth and Sloane’s relationship has made strides in the previous books, but there are a couple of crucial events that needed to occur before they can advance in the final. Suffice it to say, both events are absolutely panty-melting and if you’re heart (and other lady parts) don’t start to beat for Zeth, then you must be dead! lol!
The romantic story between Zeth and Sloane captivated me from the beginning. I loved that Sloane was feisty but somewhat reserved. I also loved how Zeth was so comfortable with his body and sexuality. Their chemistry was combustible.
“He moved up my body with a predatory, dark look on his face, eyes searching me all over, hungry and desperate…Sloane, I’m yours.”
As the action unfolds and you wonder at any moment who is going to survive and who can be trusted. There wasn’t a moment when I felt like I knew what was going to happen next! I must say, all my expectations were exceeded!!
The auxiliary characters were just as important in this series. Michael is a standout and I am very excited to have read he will be getting his own book. The friendship between Zeth and Michael was very telling about each character and their loyalty to each other. Lacey provided a key role in the series and I am glad the author stayed true to that character. And, we will get more of Rebel and Alexis in an upcoming book. Charlie? What can be said about him but that he is one f’d up son of a b*tch! A character you love to hate, for sure!!
Well, I cannot say enough positive things about this book and the entire series!! I highly recommend that you meet Zeth straight away! He will not disappoint! And, you’ll want to be besties with Sloane!

The auxiliary characters were just as important in this series. Michael is a standout and I am very excited to have read he will be getting his own book. The friendship between Zeth and Michael was very telling about each character and their loyalty to each other. Lacey provided a key role in the series and I am glad the author stayed true to that character. And, we will get more of Rebel and Alexis in an upcoming book. Charlie? What can be said about him but that he is one f’d up son of a b*tch! A character you love to hate, for sure!!
Well, I cannot say enough positive things about this book and the entire series!! I highly recommend that you meet Zeth straight away! He will not disappoint! And, you’ll want to be besties with Sloane!

In the final book of the series, Collateral does not disappoint. Zeth and Sloane are together. They are all in. Now they are a force to be reckoned with. The DEA is after them, Sloane's sister's involvement is still a mystery, Lacey has been drawn away, and they are gearing up for the fight of their life with Michael. We can't forget Zeth's nightmares and damaged memories that continue to haunt him.

I just can't say too much about how things unfold because you have to experience it for yourself. This is one power punch of an ending. There will be some heart break, tears, laughter, and plenty of steam!

I would definitely have been safer these past few months, but in retrospect, it seems as though Zeth was right. Overall, I found this series to be one for the record book. Each book just got better and better. The relationship between these two characters continued to weave more deeply into bliss. It was truly remarkable! I am excited that there will be more coming from this author. Although there is an amazing HEA for Zeth and Sloane, there were a few loose ends that are just begging to be explored! Bravo Ms. Hart! You are one talented writer!

Have you ever fallen in love with a story that you never want it to end?
That's I felt when I finished reading this book. Let me start off by saying this series is hands down one of the best I've read this year. In case you're wondering, there are six parts to Zeth and Sloane story. This is the last book in the series in case you don't care for cliffhangers. You must read them in order so you won't get lost.
What I absolutely loved:
1. Everything about Zeth and Sloane. I didn't think it was possible but their relationship does get better.
2. Michael. I heard he's getting his own book? Say whaaaat?! I can't wait.
3. The Epilogue. God knows I'm a sucker for a good epilogue and this one was badass. I've been waiting for that last scene forever.
4. Zeth. (#1 refers to Zeth & Sloane relationship) This one is solely on my baby. This man will melt your heart and panties. Have no doubt you'll hate him and then love him. It's all part of his charm.
What I regret:
1. No spoilers but where are my fucking tissues? I'm an emotional mess right now. I still can't believe it.
“You gave me your best. You’re the only one who ever did.”
All I can say is: I will miss you.
2. The length. I was sort of hoping for a long ass book. I know I know there are 5 others previous to this one but...it's the last one, we gotta make it count, right?
All in all, if you haven't read this series I highly recommend it. Other than that, there's not much to say. It's been a pleasure and I will miss these characters.

5 Angry Bird, Lucky Charm, and Sexy as Hell, Stars!
What a perfect ending to a perfect story! Love conquers all, letting go of your fears, learning to be vulnerable and trust others, moving on from the past ...that is what Zeth and Sloane's story was to me.
From incredibly engaging plot, that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole ride, to the boiling sex, to the superbly written characters, I had no other choice than to love this series!

This pretty much sums up everything I feel about this author, her writing, this book, this entire series, these characters, everything. PURE PERFECTION OF A STORY!!!
The conclusion to Zeth and Sloane was everything I wanted and needed. The full circle of hate, revenge, death, greed, passion, hot ass sex, realization, friendship, sorrow, loyalty and love. Fighting their past, brings them together with no chance of surviving without each other.
I want to devour her in some sick way, to press her into myself so the two of us aren’t individual people anymore, but one living, breathing entity, where the threat of separation can never trouble us again.
These two are faced with every obstacle that should break them entirely, but they don't allow hate and blood blur what is meant to be for them and their life.
Everything that Zeth has endured to make him the rock hard man that he is, Sloane has slipped her way into every part of his soul, creating love out of the darkness.
Sloane's heart was handed to Zeth after their first encounter in the dark. She tried fighting it but knew there was no sense in what was meant to be.

4.25 solid finale to this story stars
As I have said in my reviews of the previous books in this series, this is NOT A STAND ALONE. One book runs right into the next; it could honestly be just one longish book (some of the books in this series are short enough to be considered novellas; I don't think any of them are over 200 pages).
I can't really get into too much detail on the plot because it would all be spoilers, but let's just say that everything comes to a head. The ongoing Zeth vs. Charlie (the man who raised but also abused him) battle; secrets of Zeth's childhood are finally revealed; and the legal issues they have encountered are resolved. The story of these two really grew on me over the course of the books bc in the first 2, I really didn't feel the connection or the why as to their attraction to each other, but the last 2 books in particular really worked towards making things come together in a way that worked. And despite the revelations of Zeth's abuse and the loss they experienced, I was glad that they got their HEA (well, at least their version of an HEA given their unconventional lives).

When I first read Deviant, I didn't know what to expect. I was just reading a free kindle book during the week of my sister's graduation. When I finished it, I loved it so much I bought the second one.
I didn't realize how much I would come to love Sloane and Zeth, there story started out confusing and scary but it all made sense and worked itself out.
One of my favorite characters is Lacey. She was the saddest and best part of this series. She was very innocent, even though what happened to her. She was very happy and always loving and caring to both Zeth and Sloane.
What's funny is that this story turned out to be about a woman finding her sister but turned into this crazy rollercoaster ride of side characters that meant a great deal to the story and the characters.
Callie Hart made a great story that I will love and remember.
UPDATE 1/14/2015: I did not know this but the lovely Jasmine my link text made the graphic that I have up of the Blood & Roses books. I saw it Google and thought it was amazing.

I have a lot of mixed feeling right now. I am deeply sad that Zeth and Sloane's story has come to an end but I have no complaints for such an ending. Amazing!
It’s been one hell of a ride through this six book series, and I enjoyed every fucking minute of it.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this series. I can’t believe this is the end, but like we all know all good things have come to an end.
Thank you Callie Hart for such an awesome story!

I really had to pull myself together to start reading this book because I absolutely love Zeth and Sloane and I absolutely hate to acknowledge that their story was going to end. I’m glad I did because the series never disappointed me.
Collateral brought the stories in full circle. What lost was found (even if it took a long road). What broken was mended (even just partially). And along the way, they danced around fragile and explosive situations.
Zeth, oh Zeth. How much I love that guy.
He’s dark, brooding and broken. But he’s not whining or wallowing in self pity like so many of broken heroes out there and that made him among top on my list of favorite male characters.
