Definitely a bit of a slow burn, lots of worldbuilding. Engaging characters & compelling themes — the fandom puts me off a bit though. Will likely read again.
(Even for the bit I don’t feel right giving this a rating out of five stars. Also please be nice to me I am actually into God like that)
I just finished my reading of the whole Bible. This is something I’m super proud of and happy to have accomplished and spent so much time in God’s word! Obviously a 5 star rating!!!!!!
I'm going to go ahead and rate this and write my review. Because the Bible is a NEVER ENDING book. You get into the word. You learn something new every time about your heavenly father! This is a book I literally can NEVER finish. Better than life itself. No one can compete with this book. It's ALIVE and ACTIVE. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading. For every single soul that's out there. This isn't just a "book" it's the book about your heavenly father who'll take you from grace to grace, and will never leave you. You can always count on him whenever you feel like you have no place to go, whenever you feel alone, scared, like you don't measure up. God wants to do amazing things for your lives. You just got to press in and do your part.
God bless you all. And I hope that if you're reading this. You know how much you mean to your heavenly father. You mean SO MUCH to him. Don't let Satan tell you otherwise! 🙌❤️
The Bible continues to amaze me the more I read it. Incredible characters, perfect life advice, and laws to live by. I read it again and again and it adds to my life.
So good! My 5th time through the Bible. I did the Bible Recap with Tara-Leigh Cobble and highly recommend. I learned so much and looked forward to it every day!
I have been a Christian for all of my life, but this was the first time that I actually made time every day to read the Bible. I started this journey of reading the whole Bible a little over a year ago during a very hard time, and I have been immersed in the Word every day since! I am so happy that I was able to read the entire Bible, since there were many parts of it that I had never read before. Looking back at this past year, God has been so fruitful in my life, and it is because I took the time to get to know Him through His word. I am so happy to continue to read the Bible daily and continue to form a closer relationship with God.
To anyone out there, God's word provides peace, joy, hope, and LIFE! It has forever changed my life, and it can forever change yours. My love for God has expanded so much, and it makes me want to tell people about Him!
I'm always here if you want to ask more about our amazing God -- please reach out!
My second read through of God’s word (in the NLT this time). Never leaves me void. It’s amazing how another year of reading showed me more about God’s character and how intricately and beautifully His story of redemption is woven into the very fabric of our beings. I was blessed by this experience and grateful God led me through another reading.
I used this version to complete a bible in one year study. I enjoy this translation because it's readily understandable to our modern English ears. There is value in other translations, of course, but this one is a favorite.
