Joseph Falank sure knows how to write a tense suspenseful story packed into a quick read! His new novella “Disconnected” had me turning the pages rapidly to see how the terrifying situation presented in the novella would resolve itself. Without spoilers, I will say that as a protective father and husband, the conflict in this slim book got my teeth gritting and my brow furrowed.

File this under: something I didn’t expect. This book had me shedding tears, holding my breath, and scooping my sleeping children up and into bed with me.
