TEAM REAPER HAS TAKEN ON A LOT, BUT THIS TIME THEY ARE ON A FIGHT WITH THE UNKNOWN! They are The Cabal, they live in the shadows, their aim is to create a new world order, and Team Reaper is the only thing standing in their way.
The death of a young man in Kentucky from a drug overdose sets in motion a chain of events which will see Team Reaper fighting shadows, searching for an enemy they can’t see but who is so powerful they can reach out of the darkness and touch anyone they wish.
The Cabal was meant to be a myth…a story which floated around the corridors of power. But when people start dying from poisoned cocaine, Team Reaper is about to find out that some myths are real…
I thoroughly enjoyed Collateral Damage by Brent Towns and feel that this is the best book of the series to date. There is very little idle time in this book as Reaper and his teams move from country to country. Only this time, the bad guys seem to be a step ahead of them no matter where they go. A group called The Cabal is attempting to wipe out the Drug Enforcement Team, and must have a mole on the inside and people in powerful positions in order to do what they do. I also enjoy the addition of a new team member, the British bloke's wit allows readers to take a breath and release tension during this twisty and turning story. The ending is surprising and is a good lead in to the next installment. Highly recommended!
What A Twisty, Turny Bat-Out-Of-Hell Ride This Was!
OMG! Every Brent Towns book seems to come at you faster and more furiously than the last. And THIS one fills the bill completely! First of all, this book would probably have taken me a few days of reading at my normal rate but Collateral Damage took me one sitting! And whenever I needed a pause it was only for a food or rest, never more than minutes at a time. I want the next installment NOW!!! Secondly, I am in awe of how someone writes this well and this proficiently. The characters, the plots, the nuance of twists and turns - oh, my!
Ok, 1st off there is no way a Coporal is in Delta as a tier 1 operator. 2nd the use of british english/Australian lingo when the character isn't either of those is annoying. In the US it's an elevator not a lift. I know these are small things compared to the overall storyline, but these things irritate me.
Another excellent “Team Reaper” a continuing tradition!
Esch book in this series has been better than its predecessor. Unfortunately we are only allowed, by Amazon, Goodreads, etc. to award 5-Stars. This one is at least a 7.5.
Another excellent thriller in this series. Action packed, with just the right number of characters and solid dialogue. After being disappointed by the slow, boring new novel of a “big time” author, this page turner by Townes was the perfect remedy.
Can't wait for the next install after reading the last book to date of Collateral Damage. Team Reaper books keeps you on the edge of your seat. When is the next one coming?
'Collateral Damage' took me to the edge of my seat and kept me there until the end. Even then I was needing a good 'coming-down' moment. Wow. Full of action, crazy characters and scenarios that make you want to hide (but in a good way). Definitely a must add to your tbr list. Highly recommended.
This tale was even more interesting and action filled then the earlier books but this one has an ending that will shock you. I'm getting the next book ordered today.
Action packed thriller filled with good story lines from the World Drug Initiative. The terrorists are at it again . but can they get away with their smuggling operation?
Forget the opening story of Team Reaper fighting along with six British Commandos against an overwhelming number of the Taliban forces in Afghanistan. The real story is about Team Reaper and "The Cabal".
The Cabal is a secret international consortium of players who have an agenda of creating a new world order. And they mean business.
Their business is stopping Team Reaper because they keep interfering with The Cabal's objectives. And it appears that they keep attacking Team Reaper wherever they go. It readily seems that the Reaper Team either has a mole or The Cabal has a tenacity of receiving intelligence about the team. Either one could be disastrous for the team
This is another of Brent Towns' novels that is extremely difficult to put down without reading the entire book in one sitting.
One of the best in the series so far. A shadow organisation, called The Cabal, is trying to start wars for money and Team Reaper is in their way. Highly entertaining and explosive as we are used to. And Axel is permanently reunited with an old buddy and finally can practice his English language skills again. I'm very much looking forward to the conclusion.
