Lin Qian and Zheng PingQing, two people who have wanted to kill each other for many years, fell in love. After a lot of ups and downs, they finally married.
But they didn’t expect to get reborn together on the day of their wedding.
Back to the year when their feud was at its most intense.
The friends around them also saw each other as enemies.
Yet the two men in question were…in the eyes of the frightened relatives and friends of both sides; they began to scatter dog food.
I found the premise of this quite refreshing among all the rebirth novels I've read. As the title implied, it's about a decade-long enemies due to personal reasons turned lovers and when they're finally about to get married, they are both reborn back to the time when their old feud caused an irreparable damage to both of them. Though this a second chance for both of them, it's not about the development of their relationship but more about re-grabbing the missed chances and altering the wrong choices that affected the lives of their families and friends because of their old conflict.
This one is so much fun. It's lighthearted and I don't know how many times this made me laughed out loud. It has a lot of those silly but harmless misunderstandings that makes it so ridiculous that it's so hilarious. Though it's not exactly profound plot-wise, it's also not shallow but it still maintained the unserious atmosphere throughout the novel. Because they already experienced and have an advantage of knowing a lot of things from their previous life, there's really no major drama, no complex struggles. It's still so fun though because this is all about the characters' interactions.
I loved that even though there's no relationship development between the MC and ML, you can feel the old married couple vibes from the way they bicker and indulge each other. Their exchanges are so natural and smooth that it's believable how much they knew each other. I also loved how, even though they don't exactly announce their relationship, they're also not so keen on hiding it. They don't excessively do PDA, but their gestures as a couple is already like a mannerism. It's subtle that it's not an in your face show of affection but you'll still feel that there's something not platonic about them (unless you're like MC and ML's friend group that are full of dense kiddos).
I really enjoyed reading this one. I had such a fun time.
At first, I couldn't believe how random it was, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. I didn't stop laughing from beginning to end 😂.
I loved the relationship dynamic, and I absolutely adored their personalities. Friends and family were also incredibly funny. This is a great novel to refresh and relax. There is no angst or sad moments. It's good to read something like this once in a while. I totally recommend it!!!
Took me so long to read it but honestly that’s on me being busy as fuck. BUT I LOVED IT SO MUCVVHHHH I LOVE THEM THEYRE SO DRAMATIC IT MAKES NO SENSE BUT ITS SO AAAA IT WAS HILARIOUS AND STUPID AND CRAZY AND SO ENJOYABLE.
I’ve yet to read the extras but I hope there’s a wedding there
“Reborn with an Old Enemy on the Day of Our Marriage” was a novel recommended to me by a friend to lift my spirits. I’ve been busy in real life with so many things weighing on my shoulders lately. I was told this was a hilarious read, and it didn’t disappoint! It truly tickled my funny bone. If the puns didn’t make me laugh, they at least made me smile. There were a lot of lines I liked to screenshot and share on my reading thread, but I held myself back ’coz there were truly too many.
The story isn’t meant to be taken seriously. I suggest reading the novel as if it were a comedy skit. There are numerous flaws in the plot, and the characters’ personalities, actions, and decisions are questionable, particularly considering their souls are those of 30-year-old adult men. I found them to be truly immature and raised my eyebrow quite a number of times. I thought they would become more mature as the story progressed, but instead, they became more brazen. I suppose the environment they were in influenced their development. That is understandable, though, as our environment shapes who we are. That said, the novel is definitely written just for laughs.
More than their “rebirth,” I was more curious about their first life, the life they lived before they time-traveled (yes, they time-traveled out of the blue with no explanation). It would have been interesting to read how they slowly realized their feelings for each other amidst their enmity. I love the enemies-to-lovers trope, and the novel skipped all that. It was mentioned subtly but lacked emotional depth. The author surely has room for improvement, considering how well-thought-out the plot of their first life was.
The ending was quite smooth as well. I was disappointed at first because I looked forward to a ‘revenge arc,’ and the main story ended without it. But I was glad it was included in the extras. There were 11 extras in total, and each of them was entertaining in its own way. The last extra was especially the best, as it gave me a sense of satisfaction from the story, a perfect closure, per se.
Overall, I would recommend the novel to readers looking for a relaxing and humorous story to lighten their mood. It certainly did for me, and I hope it will for others as well. I was going to rate it 4 stars but ended up giving it 3 because there were a lot of scenes that felt draggy to me. That aside, I would have definitely rated it 4 stars.
*this will not contain plot spoilers but will talk about the writing style and characters so unless you want to go in depth there feel free to skip this. all you need to know is that this is a 5/5 novel that you should definitely read!
wow, where to begin? first of all let me just start by saying how beautiful this novel was. both in the relationship between the main characters as well as their connection to the side characters. Lin Qian and Zheng PingQing get 'reborn' into their high school days right at the moment they were about to get married. seeing as their relationship during high school was very rocky in the past its funny to see how their friends react and misunderstand things whenever they interact. however seeing our main characters try very hard to make sure that their friends don't end up with the same mistakes from the past all while trying to preserve relationships that were too broken to be mend in the future.
this for me was the most beautiful part about the story together with the fact that this author is just a genius. no ends are lose and the story goes into amazing detail where necessary. this isn't done to the extend where it becomes overbearing tho and clearly slows the skills of the author. the way of writing relations and showing different feelings through interactions made this book so much more enjoyable.
another fact that made me love this book so much more than other danmei novels is the fact that it has strong female characters. often we see woman be portrayed as stupid and become the villain only for our two male main characters to proceed further into the plot of the novel. ROEDM has quite a handful of amazing women who you will come to adore, love and root for. of course it has it set of antagonists but even tho they are supposed to be the villain, and believe me you will hate them, they aren't stupid. they're very calculating and actually make reading about them so much more nail bitingly horrible. rather than having a woman be portrayed as a dumb little b*tch, like some authors do, we are blessed with amazingly well written characters that will make you throw a pillow across the room. not because you feel like this girl is so idiotic and doesn't know what she's talking about but because this woman is so scheming you wanna hit your head against the wall thinking "how is she so good at this!"
the last thing I would like to mention which made this novel worth the read is the fact that its not just centred on the main characters or them + some not developed side characters. as I mentioned before ROEDM is written amazingly beautiful which includes plenty of details for the side characters. they're not just 1 or 2 best friends or 1 parental figure either! no, ROEDM has side characters which range from family members to schoolmates from basically every class in their year and even after that there is a long list of teachers, friends made along the way and those who might seem of little importance but later turn out to be a true dark horse!
all in all ROEDM is just an amazing novel and I really do recommend people to check it out. I finished the novel fairly quickly and if you can then just grab it on a friday and finish it over the weekend. this is a novel that would bring up so many more emotions when you read it in one go rather than taking a break from it. if you dont have time to do so now its an amazing investment to just wait until you do bc it will make your read so much better!
MC and ML used to be bitter enemies for years-- over a decade later, they managed to finally see face to face and get together, and are now on their way to another country to get married. Then they somehow returned to the day that started it all: the time MC was supposed to give a speech in front of the student body as their high-achieving representative. That lifetime, ML started trouble, and the entire thing devolved into a fight that lost MC his guaranteed spot at a prestigious university and derailed both their lives, and their families'. This time, though, ML holds a speaker in his hand and-- "Lin Qian is the most handsome man in our school!" They had years to reexamine their old wounds, and these days no longer controlled them. But really, this novel is about two 30 years olds beating a choice selection of school dregs and becoming their Dads, dragging two of the worst 12th grade classrooms into being hardworking, studious students. The "dad" bit? Nah, they didn't give up when MC demanded they call him Dage as an apology, so naturally to let them go they have to call him Father. The MC and ML of this story is incredibly refreshing. They're very hardworking, and especially even more when they also ended up helping so many people with their studies, which also helped with otherwise messy home lives. Initially the two sides of their friend groups thought the other was blackmailing their leader in some way, but after some time began to actually be friends with each other. MC and ML also get to realize that their blood feud wasn't purely just them clashing at first meeting-- and get to set things right, too. The maturity and new perspectives they gained over the years are precisely what allowed them to see such a different side of the story-- it's absolutely lovely. But this novel is also really just.... it's hilarious. There's a lot of misunderstandings between the couple and everyone else, in different ways, some set-up by the couple and some not. Sometimes they would do couple things and wave it off as something else. Once found out, though, they just flatfacedly come out and PDA these people's eyes off-- truly psychological warfare at its most sophisticated. MC and ML know that they want to be together from the very start this time. They will do anything for it.
i'd give it a 3.5 i think, it was really cute, funny and lighthearted ! i enjoyed it quite a bit, it was easy and quick to read as well so this very helped since i've been having a hard time reading these days haha the very typical gender roles were extremely present which as always made me kinda :/ but oh well
Literally in love with this book my goodness this was perfectly my type. The author making sure to never take a serious turn and keeping the constant flow of funny and silly characters was so refreshing.
And for the most important part.... where do I get myself a Shao Sijia.
This is a lighthearted and fluffy school story that had me cracking up almost every chapter. There's no deep plot, which is why I'm only giving 4 stars, but it's a thoroughly entertaining story.
The premise of the story is that our two main characters, Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing, used to be bitter rivals in high school, and their two groups used to duke it out all the time. However, somewhere along the way, they realized that they actually like each other and started dating. However, on the flight to their honeymoon, something happens and they wake up reborn in their senior year of high school with memories intact. Now they can redo their high school life in a lovey dovey way and not waste years of fighting.
What makes the story so funny is the surrounding cast of characters. Both Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing are the bosses of their own groups, the studious students and the unruly students respectively, and they have the most hilarious reactions to their bosses' actions, especially at the beginning. It takes them a while to get used to the fact that LQ and ZPQ are actually getting along, rather than being forced to study/tutor by the other. There were so many moments where our main characters were misunderstood that had me cracking up. Plus later on, when some of the group finds out about their relationship but the majority of the group is clueless. there are some really comical scenes as well. Poor Xu Yao and Gou Xindou... they've had to put up with so much XP
It's not all fun and games. There is some drama as well. Along the way, Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing deal with their family matters. In their previous life, they were too immature to really understand their parents until it was too late and the relationship was already strained. However, now that they know their parents actually do care about them even if they've been distant, they try to make up with their respective parents.
In addition, because they're more mature now and things played out differently, they can see through some details that weren't obvious in their previous lives. For example, the assistant vice principal pulled some strings to give the school recommendation for university F to his son instead of Lin Qian, and this time around our MCs are able to catch him in action and get him arrested. Or now, Zheng Pingqng knows the truth behind his mom's remarriage and takes revenge on the woman who mislead him in the past about his mom's supposed cheating. Essentially they're able to live their life a second time with no regrets and clear up all the dirty things that happened around them previously.
But man, I want to go back to all of the comedy. I have so much love and appreciation for all of the side characters, from Lin Qian's sister to Shao Sijia to his surprisingly quick to fight math teacher father to all of the students who follow our main characters at school. Each and everyone of them gave me endless entertainment. Like who would even think about making cleaning into a competition like LQ and ZPQ's friends did?? Or why does Lin Qian's dad care more about not being the last to find out about their relationship than the fact that his son just came out of the closet with his stepson?? He needs to get his priorities straight lol
Here are some excerpts from the story as an example:
At the beginning when Lin Qian's friends didn't trust Zheng Pingqing at all XP
The trio who were the subject of these whispers turned a blind eye to the hot gazes trained on them. Zheng Pingqing handed Lin Qian the bag he was holding: "You vomited all your breakfast this morning, take this and eat it when you get to your classroom."
Xu Yao quickly intercepted the bag and held it far from Lin Qian. "Give it to me."
Zheng Pingqing looked at his empty hand, then said: "Why not buy some yourself?"
Xu Yao sneered: "Don't think we'll be bought by such bribery! Do you really think Ah Qian will fall for your petty tricks and eat this breakfast that you bought?"
Lin Qian: "I'll eat, ah."
Xu Yao: "...."
Xu Yao hated iron for not becoming steel and shook the paper bag towards Lin Qian: "Ah Qian, look at it carefully, do you really think this is some ordinary breakfast?"
---------------------
And the same for Zheng Pingqing's friends towards Lin Qian
Dong MingEn reluctantly allowed Lou Xingguang to drag him away, looking back as they slowly walked off.
"How can we just leave Boss like that?" Dong MingEn cried out.
"Don't you get it?" Lou Xingguang's voice was heavy with helplessness and unwillingness.
"The Boss had been urging us to leave the entire time. I'm afraid it's because he didn't want us to see him at such a low point. Are you saying we should stay and watch him do such embarrassing things?"
Dong MingEn clenched his hands until the knuckles whitened: "How can Lin Qian torture Boss like this...he actually....made the Boss carry his bag for him!"
Zheng Pingqing was the leader of Class 8 and is on top of the school hierarchy. But now he has to carry Lin Qian's bag for him? Was there anything more humiliating than this?
As Dong MingEn thought of this, he felt so heartbroken that he couldn't breathe.
---------------------
And poor Zheng Pingqing... he just wants to lie low and live his high school life as a good student and look good in front of his future father-in-law, but his friends won't let him XP
Ah, it's really not easy for a man to be sandwiched between his father-in-law and his partner! The senior high school student Zheng Pingqing sighed in the depths of his heart.
He decided that from now on, he would be a quiet, chicken-like student in every one of Lin Yazhi's classes. First and foremost, he had to make sure he could get through his senior year without any trouble.
"Well please turn to page 3 of your textbook...." Lin Yazhi said as he picked up the chalk and turned around to write on the blackboard. "Today we're going to learn..."
Zheng Pingqing tried his best to reduce his sense of existence, hoping that Lin Yazhi would just forget about their previous grievances and resentments.
Just when Zheng Pingqing felt that he was on the verge of successfully turning invisible, there was a sudden 'bang!"
A basketball fell from the sky, directly landing on Zheng Pingqing's desk.
This instantly attracted the attention of everyone in the room.
Zheng Pingqing: "......
Zheng Pingqing stoically turned his head and saw Dong MingEn standing up. Dong MingEn was looking at him, and with a wink said: "Boss, let's play some ball."
---------------------
Poor Xu Yao... he has to fight the valiant fight alone while everyone around him is completely clueless about the true nature of Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing's relationship XP
Seeing Jiang Tinglun acting so eagerly, Dong Mingen puffed up his chest. "Didn't the Boss give Lin Qian a watch? I see Lin Qian wear it all the time, and I figured that it would be a practical gift, so I gave you one too."
Of course, Dong Mingen watch couldn't be compared to Zheng Pingqing's watch. This watch only cost a few hundred yuan. But it was from a popular fashion brand well-known to any student, and it was tasteful.
However, after hearing all this, Xu Yao: "......"
Out of all the gifts he never wanted to receive from Dong Mingen, this was No. 1.
And the critical hits just keep coming. Dong Mingen stretched out his left wrist and showed off a watch that was exactly the same as the one in the box. Satisfaction all over his face, Dong Mingen said: "There was a sale where you can get another one at a discount, so I bought one for myself too."
As black spots started filling Xu Yao's vision, he could faintly hear Jiang Tingjun's envious voice over the buzzing in his ears. "I really want one too!"
Dong Mingen held Xu Yao's hand. "In the future, we can wear the same watch during our tutoring lessons. We'll be just like Lin Qian and the Boss: a pair of true brothers!"
Xu Yao: ".
No...you're still young, child...you still don't understand. They're not brothers at all, ah...
---------------------
Zheng Pingqing's double sided nature when it comes to Lin Qian vs everyone else has his mom confused haha
In the meantime, more exciting things were still coming after the other.
"Cou-" Lin Qian almost blurted out 'couple's clothes.' But fortunately, he managed to react in time and changed his words. "Matching clothes?"
Zheng Pingqing winked as he nodded at him. "The seasons are changing, so we should also update our clothes."
Chen Shiyi: "???????"
So it wasn't a coincidence that Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing were wearing the same clothes today? They bought the same outfit on purpose?
When she tried talking about it with Zheng Pingqing in the elevator, didn't he say that he loathed bumping into someone with the same outfit as him?
---------------------
Like I said, poor Xu Yao XP
Zheng Pingqing helplessly walked towards the door. This time, when he opened the front door, he saw a familiar face.
Xu Yao: "
Zheng Pingqing smiled. "Hello, older brother!"
Xu Yao quietly took a step back, confirmed the address, then looked back towards Zheng Pingqing. When he did so, he noticed the clothes Zheng Pingqing was wearing.
It was Lin Qian's clothes....
Or, more specifically, his home clothes....
Xu Yao felt like his stomach couldn't endure this picture in front of him..
Xu Yao pointed a quivering finger at Zheng Pingqing and, with a trembling voice, said: "You...you
Zheng Pingqing tilted his head at this person, who suddenly started stuttering for no reason. He asked: "What's wrong with me?"
An extremely bitter Xu Yao took a step forward and grabbed Zheng Pingqing by the collar. With a lowered voice, he snarled: "Didn't you say that you weren't going to do anything obscene until you two were adults!!!!"
Zheng Pingqing: ?????
The venerable Xu Yao was in tears. "You... didn't you tell me that you two only have sex during nighttime?"
Zheng Pingqing: ??????????
With a broken heart, Xu Yao continued: "And you, you...can't you do it in your house?" Lin Qian's house has an adult living there!
Zheng Pingqing quietly pushed Xu Yao's accusing finger away from his face and said: "Why are you like this? Always thinking such dirty thoughts."
Xu Yao: !!!!! Why is he the one getting shot at!
---------------------
After a few steps, Chen Shiyi couldn't help but turn back towards the terrace. Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing were still looking at her. When Zheng Pingqing saw his mother looking back, he blew her a kiss. "Mom, we'll wait for the good news."
Chen Shiyi: "... "
Chen Shiyi felt that she could still somehow come around to the idea of homosexuality. But at this moment, she felt that there was something even more unbelievable than her son turning gay.
How in the world could such a good child like Lin Qian end up fancying her absolutely disgraceful son?!
---------------------
The dog food is nonstop!!!
Eventually, Lin Qian came over with a plate of sashimi. He said: "Zheng Pingqing, this tuna is delicious, ah. Here, try one..."
Zheng Pingqing turned around and directly opened his mouth with an 'Ahh-'
Xu Yao, who couldn't move because of the hand on his shoulder: ".
Hey, you outstanding, perfect man...you've already agreed to be a vegetarian for the rest of your life?
Also, when you feed your lover, can you please take into consideration the mood of the people next to you?
Ah, no. Ah Qian obviously just doesn't care what other people think.
Lin Qian raised his fork and fed Zheng Pingqing a piece of tuna. He then turned towards Xu Yao and asked: "Ah Yao, do you want to try the sashimi too? It's very delicious."
Although Xu Yao wanted to refuse, he couldn't help but open his mouth with an 'Ahhh-'
Lin Qian blinked. "Uh, what I mean is, you should go to the buffet area and get some yourself."
Xu Yao: "...."
Xu Yao ran away in tears.
---------------------
When MC's dad is the only one in the dark in the family XP
Chen Shiyi looked at Lin Yazhi and felt a slight sadness in her heart. She earnestly instructed: "They'll be working hard during the day, so you shouldn't disturb them at night. Especially when their doors are closed. Remember, don't open their door without their consent, ah."
Lin Qian: "...." Auntie, I think you have an overactive imagination.
Zheng Pingqing comforted her: "Mom, rest assured, Lin Qian and I will remember to lock the door.
Lin Qian: He clearly wants to give his mother a heart attack.
Chen Shiyi weakly replied: "Ok...alright...but it's better not to lock the door, ah...."
Zheng Pingqing wanted to reply but was stopped by Lin Qian.
"Don't worry, I'll look after him. I won't let him lock the door." Lin Qian told her.
After Lin Qian's guarantee, the weight in Chen Shiyi's chest was a little lighter. Grateful, she said: "Thank you. I'll leave it to you."
Lin Qian nodded. "Of course. After all, we're family."
Lin Yazhi let out a bellowing laugh. He slapped Lin Qian and Zheng Pingqing on the shoulder and said: "Yes, one family, we're all one family!"
Everyone else looked at him in silence.
Alas, ignorance is bliss.
---------------------
All of Xu Yao's suffering was for this moment when he can lord it over his fellow brothers XP
Class 1 and Class 8, who were under the direct command of the two bosses, were at the brink of collapse as they went back and forth.
Even the delinquents from Class 7 could only look at each other blankly.
Li Gao stated: "So Big Boss and Second Boss aren't 'father' and 'second father'...but...."
Very much like a chicken, Guo Dangli screeched: "It's 'Dad' and 'Mom'-"
Everyone: "...."
They didn't dare visualize this.
Don't visualize it!
Don't visualize it!!!!
Seeing these formerly happy and ignorant young people now panicking and frightened, Xu Yao suddenly felt a sense of unspeakable pleasure at their pain.
It was their turn to experience the suffering he had endured during their entire senior year.
I wanted something fluffy and funny without much drama and this book had it all. This is the first time I read a book where both the MC (Lin Qian) and the ML (Zheng PingQing) were reborn together and it was so cute to see them interact. It was also really funny to see their stupid friends' reactions, though their friends' stupidity did get kind of annoying at times.
To truly enjoy this book, I just kept in mind that the author wanted this to be a light-hearted story with silly side characters.
My favourite thing about this book is the couple. The MC and ML were both determined to change their futures and the futures of those around them. They were obviously mentally more mature than the rest of their peers and due to foresight, they had knowledge about things that would happen in the future and together, they worked together and their futures became brighter than ever.
I really liked the relationship between LQ and ZPQ. In their last lives, they were enemies turned lovers and they knew all the worst and best parts and everything in between about each other, so their relationship was very harmonious. I liked a few side characters too, such as Xu Yao, Shao SiJia and Zheng BuLu. They were just the funniest.
I didn't think I would ever read BL or danmei mostly because of how much fetishization there is in the genre but I lovedddd this web novel.
I was a bit iffy on the fact that they were being reborn or like having a second chance at life because I don't really enjoy that trope and most of the time it tends to be revenge focused which ends up being pretty boring. However, I loved the fluff in this one! It was super cute and I love how little conflict there was. It was also super funny and cute, plus I actually managed to keep track of the plot line and characters this time.
It was kinda weird though how awful the parents were in this story. Like they weren't straight up horrible but they were pretty neglectful. Like once Lin Qian's dad found out they were together this guy literally started beating Zheng PingQing and after Zheng PingQing's dad found out about this he was just like "lol the bruises are only skin deep so it doesn't matter" like???? 😭 I also thought Zheng PingQing's mom or Lin Qian's stepmom was pretty bad too like she basically abandoned her son for most of his life and really acted like Lin Qian's mom then her own son's. Zheng PingQing's dad also basically abandoned him for most of his life too, like this guy really only has his bf to love him 😭.
Anyway, something else I really liked in this book was how the characters literally didn't gaf about hiding their relationship and would practically make out in front of their friends. A lot of people also said that all the misunderstandings on the friends' side annoyed them but personally I found that to be super funny.
I wishh we got to see more of how the MC and ML fell in love in their past life though, like that would've been so cutee (and if Zheng PingQing was treated better, like someone save him 😭🙏).
Overall, I loved Reborn with an Old Enemy on the Day of Our Marriage 5/5 stars ⭐️.
This is a comfort type of read, everything gets resolved and there’s no conflict between the established couple. This was such a fun read that I absolutely adored, there were so many lovable dumb characters that you can’t help but laugh at lol. It was funny reading about the outrageous conclusions/misunderstandings their friends/family/classmates would jump to as to why the main characters were suddenly getting along after being “enemies” for so long.
I loved reading how the characters developed and fixed their past mistakes. How they were able to solve misunderstandings they had in the past (og timeline) and better the future for all of their classmates/family + themselves. I enjoyed reading how LQ and ZPQ basically adopted all of their classmates and “threatened” them into studying. It was funny reading about how competitive the students were about studying bc the lower classes were suddenly getting better at them lol. I enjoyed reading all the face slapping that happened. I loved reading about LQ and ZPQ’s established relationship, and how everyone was blind to it despite being so bold about it lol.
I was happy when they were able to talk misunderstandings out with their parents that ruined them in the og timeline. It was nice seeing how they all got along, and ended up supporting their relationship (after the disbelief + pettiness lol). I also loved reading the SSJ side stories. It was fun seeing things from her pov & just reading more about her bold personality.
There’s so much “loved” in my review, but I just enjoyed reading this so much. It was supposed to be a filler type of read. I would just read a few chapters when I needed a break from the other current reads, but I accidentally ended up binging it when I was about halfway done lol.

Lin Qian (shou) and Zheng PingQing (gong) are both very mature and equal couple. The way that they communicated and loved eachother was so nice. The best part is probably the beginning of the novel where the main characters are being affectionate and their confused friends think they are trying to bully/kill eachother.
My main issue was the story, the beginning was fun and you get to know the characters. But I was wondering where their second life was going and was often bored because nothing really happened. Even the comedy got annoying at some point. The bits and pieces of what happened in their first life when they met and fought and got together sounded so much more interesting and I think I would have preferred that story.
A high school romance with a dash of transmigration on the part of both leads to ensure their romance is always fluffy and harmonious, and that they can combine forces to avoid pitfalls from their first lifetime and punish those who set them up.
Not bad, but not great. Sometimes funny, sometimes veering into 'a bit too stupid to take seriously' territory.
There's nothing really wrong with it or overly offensive about it, I just didn't find much to really grab me. I'm glad I finished the novel, but I don't think I'd ever feel the need to re-read it.
Rating: 5/5- Very sweet and satisfying. It’s a pleasant and easy going journey to occupy your time.
Uncomplicated, simple and with very little conflict. No angst either.
This was my first double rebirth novel and I really enjoyed it. The couple were so sweet and loving and the highlight was how they were not in denial or trying to keep their relationship a secret.
It’s a good short (109 pages) transmigration-back-to-high-school story. Not much drama in the daily lives of the main couple who get a do over to improve their lives and the lives of their friends and families. Lots of situational comedy. Light hearted with a tiny bit of face slapping of the arrogant. Worth reading once. 4/5
