Beneath DC: A High-Stakes Christian Thriller That Elevates the Mystery Series

John Theo Jr. delivers a gripping and intensely relevant mystery in Beneath DC, the third installment of the Brandon Hall Mystery series. The stakes have never been higher, as the part-time private investigator and full-time cattle farmer is pulled far out of his comfort zone and directly into the treacherous heart of global conspiracy.
As the synopsis promises, the action kicks off when Brandon Hall lands in Washington DC for a contract job. True to form, the accidental PI quickly stumbles upon a crucial piece of evidence tied to a case being handled by his government contact, Roger Drake. This chance meeting pulls Brandon into Drake's orbit once more, forming a desperate partnership that dives headlong into a world far more dangerous than the political "swamp" they inhabit.
Theo Jr. masterfully builds tension around the emergence of Gehenna, a shadowy globalist organization meeting for the first time in a decade. Driven by dissatisfaction with the political landscape, their objective is horrifying: execute a false flag attack on American soil to "reboot, and redirect" the United States. The pace accelerates rapidly as Brandon and Drake’s team are locked in a desperate race against time to uncover Gehenna's hidden location and neutralize the threat before their catastrophic plan can be executed.
For long-time fans of the series, Beneath DC offers a major, long-awaited payoff. This chapter sees Brandon finally coming face-to-face with Gaspar Schultz, the vile leader of the group responsible for the string of deadly cases that have haunted Brandon throughout the series. This confrontation adds a deeply personal, revenge-driven layer to the high-stakes global thriller.
Beneath DC is a mesmerizing, fast-paced mystery that reveals secrets at every turn. It successfully merges classic detective tropes with modern political thriller elements, cementing its place as an essential, high-octane read for fans who enjoy their mysteries served with a hefty side of conspiracy

Fast paced

This was an intense book that hits close to what is going on the world today. It is makes you think of what’s happening, what could happen, what may be happening. It was scary at true and real it could be.

The one thing I did not like is the repetition of description of things. The senators house, the grave, things like that. The same thing in all 3 books every time. But the writing brought you into the story as if you were there.

My husband and I read them out loud each night and we enjoyed that it brought out an extra level of connect.

We will get more of his books.

Thanks for the great series.
