It successfully merges classic detective tropes with modern political thriller elements, cementing its place as an essential, high-octane read for fans who enjoy their mysteries served with a hefty side of conspiracy
This was an intense book that hits close to what is going on the world today. It is makes you think of what’s happening, what could happen, what may be happening. It was scary at true and real it could be.
The one thing I did not like is the repetition of description of things. The senators house, the grave, things like that. The same thing in all 3 books every time. But the writing brought you into the story as if you were there.
My husband and I read them out loud each night and we enjoyed that it brought out an extra level of connect.
