We were abducted by alien slavers, which is bad enough, right? But then they decided to dump us on a primitive planet like yesterday’s garbage…
We came down two to a pod, and I immediately got separated from my only lifeline back to humanity. My friend was taken by feral beasts, and I was rescued by an alien warrior who is no less beastly… but a lot nicer to look at.
Only, he thinks I’m something I’m not, and I have to play along. What choice do I have? There’s no way I can go after my friends all alone on a hostile alien planet. I couldn’t get three steps away from my escape pod without almost becoming a snack for some of the natives.
But the lying is starting to really get to me—Dekkar is willing to die for me because of what he thinks I am. I can see it every time I look into his eyes. So the choice is between telling him the truth and going it alone on this unfamiliar planet, or stringing him along and dealing with the consequences later. I literally don’t know if I can live with either of those choices.
I think I might have liked it better on the alien slaver’s ship…
Ivy Cross has been in love with science fiction since she was old enough to hold her head up through an entire episode of Doctor Who. She is a passionate reader, gamer (both board and video), and adventuress. Addictions include, but are not limited to: strong coffee, sweet wine, and sweeter desserts.
This was my first go with this author. Ivy wrote a vivid and imaginative story. I enjoyed it and I thought it flowed really nice and it has great world building and character pacing that was fast and very visual. I found that the pace of it was pretty fast. I like how she introduced the characters and the build up of their feelings for each other. Talia and Dekker were very well developed and it was a good story through and through. it kept me entertained and I enjoyed this story. I like that there were NO typos or editing issues and it did not feel rushed. I look forward to more from this author.

This novel was cleanly written and edited, with no typos that I found in the ARC version of this manuscript. The world building was competent if not especially vivid. The characterization was a little clunky, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic characters if not especially nuanced. The development of the romantic relationship was okay, with them both being attracted to each other right away, but I did not really see these characters go through the process of falling in love with each other as they got to know each other better. The plot and pacing was exciting, with me turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. There was low angst in this story and very high stakes, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for romance novels. This story used the Human Trafficking trope commonly used in sci-fi romances. It also used the Partner in Trouble trope. The world building, plot, and pacing was a solid three stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship was also three stars. This short story ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus to this short story. I recommend this story to readers who want to check out a short sci-fi romance from Kindle Unlimited to read in a waiting room or riding the train or bus. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novella, and I do not think I will read the next story in the series when it comes out.

I was pleasantly surprised by this story. This is the first one I've read from this author. Talia and Dekkar's story follows along some similar lines of other alien abduction romances, but has enough original nuances that I was entertained and did enjoy. The character development and story line was good, however, the story could have been a little longer and more descriptive. All in all a good read with a HEA and a hook for a sequel.

This wonderfully written book 1 in the Untamed Warriors of Vanthae Series was intriguing as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced, good Alien Romance book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I will be looking for more books by this author.

I truly enjoyed this book. Dekkar thought he had gotten such a prize, but it lead to some much trouble. 2 poisoning. Lucky guy had Talia. Talia had the bad luck of being kidnapped by aliens, but that lead to the greatest reward. I was sad when I heard what happened to one of the women, but the ending gave me hope. I can not wait for the next book!

Talia and nine other women are stolen from earth by aliens. Later are dropped onto a unknown planet with aliens, good and bad. Talia is captured, then saved, then captured, then saved, then captured and finally saved. What goes on in between makes the story interesting to read. Dekkar is the good and sexy alien that does the saving of both Talia and his tribe. A new author and a new series for me. Oh yeah! 👍up
If you are looking for a well written sci-fi trash read, look no further! This! This is what I call an enjoyable and good trash read. Not mutch of the world building or plot, but enough to keep a reader captivated and written in a way that is entertaining. What few sex scenes there is, are well written and in good taste and instead of crowding the story, adds just a touch of erotica. Don't expect an epic love story and just relax before bedtime or on a break with this book!
Talia and Dekkar's have a connection from the moment that Talia’s pod was left on the primitive planet. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flows smoothly from beginning to the end.

This book is entertaining, the interaction and chemistry between the characters is great. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I liked it at first. But it kinda fizzled out for me after about chapter three I think. When the MFC and MMC met up with another girl that survived a crash, it just fell flat. I think when they all went back to Drekkars town? Maybe I'll try it again later, but It didnt do it for me.
This book was just a bit unique. The interactions between the alien hero and the human female lead to some crazy adventures. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Good start to a new series. I really enjoyed the characters and the story line. It really flowed well and made for an enjoyable read. I will definitely check out the next book.
