There comes a time when you have to stop running...
Losing her parents in a car accident years ago, Kay decides to stop running from her problems. She returns home to live with her grandmother and takes a summer job as a caregiver. The patient is resentful and an uncouth drunk. It doesn't take long for her to meet the nephew, and he's breathtaking.
Despite having tension in the house, she unexpectedly develops a father-daughter relationship with her client. At the same time, Kay falls helplessly in love with the nephew who's hired her for the job.
And go after what you want...
Mich is visiting his uncle for the summer, thanks to his mother. He's ordered to help get his uncle out of a bad funk. When he arrives in Nos Angeles, Georgia, he's disgusted to see his uncle's living conditions. He thinks hiring a caregiver will do the trick. She has one job, and that job is to help him get his uncle back on his feet.
Even though she is beautiful and kind, Mich isn't interested because women lie. Funny thing is...he doesn't anticipate falling for the hired help once he gets a taste.
Will Kay surrender her heart or keep love at a distance?

I adored Mich from beginning to end! He taught Kay how to love! He did bring her out of her shell! She needed him! He needed her!
As an Author, I love the originality and creativity of the author. This was my first time reading her work and I enjoyed it. Not too much profanity, not too much erotica! It was just right! The erotica was well written. It was presented in a more passionate fashion! Plus I am an Urban Christian Fiction writer, so I loved the scripture, morals and Kay's grandmother.
People often criticize others for falling in love "too fast." I love how the author wrote the truth! Truth is, when you love someone, you know! It doesn't take a year or five years! It can happen anytime!! I look forward to reading more by S. Cassadera!
This story was relatable on so many levels. Running away, fear, abandonment, loneliness to name a few. Many of us run from God when things go wrong in our lives, and we feel anger. This is the time we should be running to him, to feel his love, strength and comfort. Kay, has been running her entire life from the fear of abandoment, after losing her parents at a young age. She is afraid to get close to anyone other than family, as she believes they will leave her. Mich, is running from fear of relationships. After his ex betrays him, he believes women are all the same and can't be trusted. But, God is always in charge. When Kay went to work for Mr. Samson, he was damaged. It was put on Kay's heart to minister to Samson, and put him on the road to healing. Mich and Kay in finding each other, brought upon their own healing as well. They both happened to be in Nos Angeles for the summer, found themselves and love. Really enjoyed this! Good job!
This was a sweet, love story and that was what kept me reading. I had to know if they were going to confess their feelings to one another. There were some moments where the flow of the story was disrupted. It seemed choppy in spots where more details were needed and the POV switched from first to third and back a few times. The story could have been a better read had the writing been a little smoother. Kay was well-developed, while Mich could have used more details. There were also some issues that could have been corrected with proper editing, like the spelling of his name and inconsistencies in the story. I enjoyed the struggle between Kay and Samuel and the moment of resolution between them. To see him turn his life around was great. I would read a future book just to see how the author’s storytelling has evolved. ❤️
Well, well, well, this was cute...Mich and Kay 💓. I liked the story, but I didn't like all of the grammatical errors. It made it a little hard to read. However, in the short end, love found Kay and Mich, they stopped running from the heart and ran to FOREVERMORE!
It is okay to make Oatmeal not everyone likes grits. Please stop running from love Kay and someone please say I love you. I'm happy Kay put Mr. Samson in his place but loved on him the entire time.
This was a good book full of a range emotions. I loved Mitch and Kay for each other. Both experienced heartbreak on different levels and decided to run towards love instead of away for it. It was also steamy!
Falling for You: * * * * * * The journey of Mich & Kay was a real one. The author really captured some real life issues. The way things tired together between Kay, Mich, & even Samson truly made this book a unique yet emotional read. The more I read this novel, the more I fell in love with this book & it's characters. Grab your copy it was a true page turner. Haven’t read a genuine book like this in a long time…
A cute little love story. Well written with well developed characters. The road traveled to love for these two characters is both interesting and entertaining. They both are dealing with real life issues that hold them both from expressing their true feelings.
Book Review: Growth Needed…. Title: Falling For You Author: S. Cassadera Stars: 2 I had hope for this African-American romance; I often do not read the newest African-American authors. The reason is that the works of these fresher or younger authors lack finesse, originality, or distinctiveness. Falling For You is my introduction to S. Cassadera; I was disappointed.
The storyline of the book is familiar. However, it did not flow. It seemed somewhat forced. Almost like the characters wanted to go in one direction, but the author refused to listen. There should be a natural flow to any story; it was not present in this one.
There is a lack of uniqueness and maturity in the writing and characters. Often the wrong descriptors used when trying to convey the appearance of something or someone. Adjectives were misused or inappropriate context.
It is not often I give harsh reviews. I wanted to enjoy this read. I see the potential in this author. I will not say I would never reread her; however, it will be hard to purchase another work by her. Recommended by UniqueWords, LLC
