I am a new author to the publishing world but not new to the world of writing. My first novel, 'Redefining My Woman" was written during a dark period in my life. That novel was never published but served as therapy for me to be able to put my feeling in words.

From there I went on to write several short stories and other works until I decided to actually put my work into print with my debut novel "Second Fridays: Sip & Pain.

I am an avid reader and devoted mother of a teenage daughter who is my 'WHY". I hail from the great state of North Carolina and I am very family oriented which is deeply rooted from my southern NC roots.

I presently work within the human service field providing Comprehensive Care Coordination to those with Mental Illness and Intellectual Disabilities. Another passion of mine is helping others and advocating for those in need.

When I'm not working, writing or spending time with my daughter and family I enjoy serving my community with my beloved sorority and sorority sisters.

As you're reading this book you can imagine yourself as one of the characters and also make you question yourself and your friends like "why don't we have "Second Friday's". It keeps you on the edge as you turn each page. I shed a few tears as well as laughed out I also caught myself saying "that's right, you go girl" I recommend this book to anyone, grab your popcorn as well as a drink so you can sip right along with them!

Great Read!

The author gave a good background on all the characters in the book and the characters felt relatable. The book kept you intrigued and you wanted to find out what happened next to the characters. The story line moved at a good pace and always kept your attention. Can't wait to read the next book!

It’s like two books in one! Lots of storylines to follow. You fall in love with the characters right off... some of them :) Get ready for an emotional roller coaster ride, as it will make you laugh, mad, sad and everything else in between. Good read!
