A Forbidden Hood Love
Takarri Matthews just wants to live her best life, but a past tragedy and an overprotective father mean that she stays shut away from the world, unable to find true happiness. Love was in the air, and them Kincaid boys applied pressure. I really enjoyed that this book focused on multiple couples, with the main one being Takarri, a kingpin’s daughter who loves poetry and spoken word, and Austin, a tattoo artist with his own shop who also comes from a powerful family. This story blended heartfelt moments, grief, drama, and tension in a way that kept things engaging. Even with everybody dealing with different situations, everything tied together beautifully.

GOOD READ
I really enjoyed this story. The Kincaid brothers didn't back down from a challenge, especially when it came to the women who captured their attention. I like how Prodigy stepped up for Rita and her daughter. Knowledge and Cobi were cute together. I understand Blake being protective of Karri, but he needed to let her have some freedom. Austin/AP was that white boy not to be played with. Glad he put Blake in his place. AP and Karrir were meant to be.

Different, but goof
It's not often that you see a blender family that gets along like this. I am so happy for Karri standing up to her dad. I truly believe that she would have cut him off of he didn't apologize to her and AP.
I am so glad that Rita got away from Nolan and that Prodigy stepped up the way he did.
Jacobi was a boss from the door. She knew what she wanted and didn't let anything stand in her way.
This was a great collaboration and even better standalone. Good job ladies

Good read
I quickly fell in love with the characters. Takarri and Jacobi had the bomb friendship and AP, Prodigy, and Knowledge had a strong brotherhood. I wondered a little what happened to Karri after her brother was killed. Other than that, the story flowed well with just enough drama as each couple pursued their HEA.

This was a good book
This was a really good book. It started off with a bang and just kept getting better. Takarri and AP had an instant connection and were too cute together. I loved Jacobi and Knowledge together. Rita was irking my nerves but I’m glad she got it together and let a real man love her.

A Forbidden Hood Love was brutal in so many ways, but I devoured this book from beginning to end. I don't want to give much away because this book should definitely be read. I will say that I absolutely loved Karri, Cobi, AP, Knowledge, Prodigy and Rita. Nolen and Sloan both got what they deserved as they were well overdue for their punishments. This story was full of wonderful characters, supportive family, there was romance, love, steamy scenes, disagreements, protectiveness and HEA's. I thought the ending could have been a little better as it felt a bit rushed and I wish there was an epilogue but overall, I enjoyed this story a lot. It's one I will be recommending to friends and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author. This standalone book did not disappoint.

what a cute hood love story
This was a cute lil hood love story. I hate it had to start off with death but it definitely explains why Tabari Sr was so controlling and protective of his girls. I like when the main characters that fall in love are close friends or siblings-it makes the whole family unit tighter and stronger and they always stand 10 toes down when something pops up. I’ve liked every book from Elle Kayson’s catalog and I will continue to complete it. Spice was 3/5. I recommend

Love from a mixed environment
This book was sooo amazing and expressive that I couldn’t stop until the end. I loved how three brothers of race differences was thick as thieves. The love they was given was gave back to two best friends Kobe and Kerri. However there was a twist of domestic violence with Rita but this book was amazing, please read yuh will enjoy .

E. Kayson know she can write several POV in one book and have a banging page turner. The characters in this book did what they needed to do. AP was that guy, loving, attentive and not for the games about his girl. Those twins, Knowledge and Prodigy were the biggest fools. The multiple POV just gave this books so much entertainment that I literally finished it in one day.

Kinda Boring
This definitely wasn't on the level I've come to love from Elle Kayson. The book had potential, but lacked real character development and the writing was too simplistic. Karri and AP's relationship was too quick with no build up. I skipped a few pages just to finish the book.

A father’s overprotective love is annoying and beautiful at the same time. If only I could have experience that. Those fathers showed their daughters how they should be treated and I loved that for them.

I understand Takarri's dad's hesitation but he can't expect those girls to live in fear. I'm glad AP and Knowledge stood on business and not let him bully them behind Codi and Takarri. I'm glad Prodigy stood on business with Rita and Noelle. Nolen was a typical abuser have all the smoke for a woman and none for a man. Glad everyone got closure and their happy ending

This is like 3 stories in one. We get the relationships of 3 couples but they are all in a circle together like family. My favourite couple was probably AP and Takarri. This is a new to me author and I'll pick up more of their work for sure.

The story was cool. I liked how they touched on domestic violence. This book was a whirlwind of traumatic events. The love story part was kind if corny though.

Everything I knew it would be
With two of my favs pimpin the pen I knew this book would be lit. I'm so glad Jacobi sr got out and Blake wasn't on no snake shit. I understand why he was so overprotective no parent should have to bury their kid. But he needed to realize Karri was grown. Glad Rita got away from Nolan crazy ass. Prodigy was a good look for her. Knowledge and Cobi made a cute couple. AP was everything in a man that Karri needed and deserved. Glad the couple's had their happy ending. Hopefully the other couple's get their own book. Glad jacobi sr got his love back and his son. This book was just all around good.

Oouuuu!! That book was good. I knew from the moment karri met AP it was history. Blake got on my damn nerves but I understand where he was coming from. I like how the book started out on a suspenseful high and gave you insight on why Blake was so overprotective of Takarri and Jacobi. I like how Takarri and Austin were instantly attracted to each other and how Jacobi and Knowledge already had a thing going on. I was glad when Prodigy and Rita became official and that Rita and Noelle didn't have to worry about Nolan anymore. Sloan was so shady and I'm glad a reckoning took place for him. Glad all the families got their HEA.

Kari, Cobi & Rita lives were changed once love entered their lives in the form of the Kincaid brothers. This book touches on overbearing parents, domestic abuse and blended families. There was potential for some major drama and action, but the story stayed on the fringe of both. The couples were cute and well written. There wasn't any one thing that stood out to give it a "wow" factor for me. It was safe. But, I do enjoy the writing of both authors and will be reading more.
