I love books set in places I've never been, and Fall For Me by Hazel Harding brings the reader to Amsterdam. The city is described so beautifully that I almost feel like I've been there now!
Anna is a career-driven twenty-something American who has been living in Europe for the past 7 years, the last two of those in Amsterdam. Her time in The Netherlands is coming to a close, as she has been offered a huge promotion at her company's New York office, and she will be heading home to the States in only 2 weeks. She takes the last 2 weeks she's in town to try and see as much as she can of Amsterdam before leaving.
Lex is a native of Amsterdam, with a close-knit extended family. He is passionate about his work as a stone-mason, and he works with his uncle and his cousin in his uncle's shop. He's an extremely talented artist, although Anna originally believes he is a blue-collar worker, and she wrongly assumes that because of the differences in their occupations, that they would have nothing in common. While their physical chemistry is off the charts - she figures that's all their relationship will ever be.
Their love story is pretty traditional. They spend time together and realize how strongly they feel about each other. But they have to figure out what it means for both of them - Anna's career has been her only focus for years, and Lex has no plans to leave Amsterdam. There's definitely a certain amount of angst as they try to figure it out, but the happy ending makes it all worth it.
Fall For Me is a quick, sexy read set in a lovely city. Worth your time if you're looking for an escape from your current world!

Well, this was an absolutely lovely read. Lex and Anna were a wonderful couple and I was very quickly pulled into their love story.
Set in Amsterdam (love this!), Lex is a stonemason who has few relationships, and even fewer words. In comes Anna, redhead, fiery and full of life. Chemistry ignites between the two of them and while they initially agree to only have a fling before Anna returns to New York, it is clear that they both want much more than just a few nights together.
There were so many things I enjoyed about this book. I love that this was in the Netherlands. I don’t often find romances that take me out of the UK, or the US so this was refreshing. I love that Anna was not described as a typical rail thin waif with little more than boobs on top of a pair of legs, and Lex did not only celebrate, but fully embraced her curves (yay for realistic bodies!). I also really appreciated that Anna was the one to come back to Lex. So often it’s the guy who screws up and then need to go after the girl, but I love that it’s a bit of a turnaround and damn, did it give me all the feels.
The plot was well thought out, and their conflicts were realistic and believable. The only thing I wasn’t the biggest fan of was at the very beginning, when we were getting to know Lex and Anna. I understand that the author was trying to give us background on the characters, but for me, it felt like it rambled a little bit. Other than that, this was completely enjoyable and I am looking forward to the next books in this series! Great work on a debut novel! Lex De Vries, passionate stone mason and all round good guy, what’s he to do when a literal damsel in distress falls into his lap? Especially with a curvaceous body that he couldn’t have imagined in his wildest dreams and more beauty than his favourite carving to match.
Wow! This was such an intense read and I was blown away by Hazel’s ability to capture scenes so perfectly in writing. I felt so many of the emotions in this book and that was down to the ability of the author to really build up the thoughts and feelings of the characters. I’ve been in some of the situations described in the book and I felt the internal dialogue was so perfectly captured.
The characters are very dynamic and keep you interested in devouring the book as fast as you possibly can! The story is written in first person narrative both from Anna and Lex’s opinion alternatively. I really love romance books that give the opinion of the man as well as the woman, I think it really builds the love story so much better and gives you so many more of the ‘feels’.
I’m so happy this book is the first in a brand new series by the author, I can’t wait to get my hands on future instalments!

I really couldn't believe that this was the author's debut novel. She did an amazing job of describing Amsterdam and all the super cool places that Lex and Anna visited in this book. I mean I want to sit at Merri's cafe, see the statue of Sleeping Beauty, even riding bikes around town sounded inviting and everywhere else they went. It was one of the best description I've read in a book. It made me want to visit Amsterdam. I love that Anna was a strong determined woman, who knew what she wanted in life. Yes she had her dream job but she was smart enough to realize that having love and doing what she loved was more important. She was remarkable in that she truly cared about Lex. Yes what they had was a fling but soon feelings got real and neither knew how to deal with it. Lex, was a gem. He was quiet, skilled and searching for something he didn't know he needed. Meeting Anna, changes so much in his life. He realizes what he really wants in life and goes after it. This love story was entertaining, sweet and steamy. It captivates you and doesn't let you go until the very end. Very well written book with characters you will absolutely love!!

I absolutely loved this love story. I felt so connected to these characters. I felt apart of their love story. Anna is an American workaholic in the Marketing field. She has two weeks left in Holland before she returns to the US for her dream job. Enter Lex, a stone mason and artist. Typically you see the set up. The two week fling turns into something more.
Here is where the typical two weeks story diverts. The author opens a window like no other into the hearts of both of them. The scenes are poignant and loving. I am to understand this is her first novel. She does as masterful job of opening the reader to the inner workings of the characters' hearts and minds.
Would I recommend this novel? Absolutely. Would I read more from this author? I cannot wait. I will be watching closely for more.

Fall for me (Going Dutch) is the debut book for Hazel Harding and book 1 in the Going Dutch series. What a great first book both for Hazel and for the series. I will be eagerly awaiting book 2 in the series with hopes we get more of Lex and Anna.
Lex and Anna meet just as Anna is about to leave Amsterdam, the chemistry for them just leaps of the pages and there were times I had to remind myself this was not a real life couple!
This was an amazing well written book that has you hooked from the beginning and is a must read.

I received a review copy of this book from the author via Voracious Readers Only. Hazel Harding is a new discovery for me, and I think it's safe to say that she will be another firm favourite. This is a great story that gives you all the feels. It's hot, loving, and leaves the reader feeling that love can be found anywhere, and can spring up on you when you least expect it. It's a sweet story that teaches you about how compromising what you thought was most important to you for something that becomes real and true happiness, and that finding love can be the fairytale ending to your own life. Loved it from start to finish!

This is a new author for me and Hazel DELIVERS from the first chapter. I honestly feel like if I went to Amsterdam right now I could take you where she wrote this story. It was visually appealing and the characters are very well thought out and descriptive to the point that you feel as if these are real people. Hazel has done masterfully in writing this as you feel like she is writing for you. This book flows so smoothly there is not one place where you are feeling like the story is jagged or redundant. She is a good author and I will be looking for more from her. Good Job!!!

It was very refreshing to read a book that had such a strong female, that did not have a trainwreck happening in her life. A successful woman, who isn't afraid to be pro-active, to chase a man, and let him know just what she want and how she wants it.
Its a quick, fun read, with lots of steam, and you'll be rooting for Anna and Lex all the way! I liked that it was written in both POV's, which always gives a little insigt as to how each character is thinking, whether it's right or wrong ;op This was my first book that I've read from Hazel Harding, but it certainly won't be the last.

Lex knew he wanted to get to know Anna immediately. They were complete opposites. He was the quiet type, and she was not. Anna and Lex initially believed they could have a brief love affair since they had other plans before the two of them met. Feelings soon become involved. What happens when it's time for Anna to come back to the states?
Although it took a minute for me to get into this, it ended up being an easy and entertaining read. Connecting to the characters was effortless. This love story is the start of a pleasant series. It was told with realistic thoughts and events.

This is a new author for me, her debut book and the start of a series. I have enjoyed this book, the setting was great and described so well, the characters were interesting and developed, I thought the story flowed well. I connected to Anna and Lex and so wanted them to be honest about their feelings for one another, their connection was off the charts and I was willing things to work out for them - I hope they will be in book two!

Anna is working but is going back to New York in 2weeks. One day in her way home she gets robbed while cycling home and Lex comes to her rescue. The chemistry is instant, he gives her his phone and when she returns it they go on a date and the start of a no strings affair starts.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Hazel is a new author for me. I think she created a great story for Lex and Anna. The storyline is set in Amsterdam. Anna is from the US and before she can return home, she meets Lex. A fling might be what she plans, but things don't always go as planned. Lex has been attracted to Anna from the first time he laid eyes on her. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by Hazel

This was a wonderful read. I love stories set in other countries and Amsterdam is great choice. I want to pretend I am there when I am riding on my bike! I love the chemistry between Anna and Lex and each of them trying to find their way in the world. I loved the development of each character, but I would have loved to know more about some of the others in the story so I am hoping it will come with other books! This was the first book from this author that I have read and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. This is a must read.

The setting sounded magical and made me put Amsterdam on my must visit places list lol.
Loved the ending. A nice easy read with enough angst to keep you hooked.
Hazel has yet again create a book you don't want to put down and groan when you come to the end but you seriously would love to just keep on reading.

What a sweet book. I'm rather fond of Amsterdam, so that might have colored my opinion a tiny bit. I liked that the characters and their relationship developed at a realistic pace . Even though the relationship developed over a matter of a week or two, it didn't feel like they just jumped into sex.
A nice amount of approach/avoidance to add interest. I look forward to more books in the series.

An interesting, pretty quick ready of a girl meeting a knight in shining hour when she was in need and a steamy romance that follows. I loved both of the main characters and that they both had to find their own way to what they wanted. A cute ending and an enjoyable ready. My first time reading this author and I look forward to their next book.

The first book in the Going Dutch series, a well written story that held my interest until the end. Stone mason Lex de Vries and Anna Marcellino, Global Head of Marketing's story both from different countries, they grow close while she is on holidays. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. For a debut album, this author nailed all the feels. Lex spots a woman he is attracted to and through a sudden turn of events gets to meet her. Anna is about to return to the States and figures a quick fling won't hurt but fate has other plans. I look forward to other books in this series. I'm torn because I liked the story, the characters frustrated me with their lack of communication. I just couldn't get it, what made them so afraid?
Anna and Lex's story was refreshing in the way the author brought it to life, but I had my moments where all I wanted to do was shake some sense into them.

A beautifully written story that was so sweet, sexy and emotional. I loved the characters. Anna and Lex had sizzling chemistry. I fell in love with them as a couple. A terrific book I adored.

Anna and Lex both thought they would have a fling, as Anna was moving away and they were both heading in different directions with their careers, so it couldn’t be anything serious. Unfortunately, they didn’t count on actual feelings getting in the way.
This book was such an easy read, I didn’t want to put it down! The characters were those you just want to end up together, and I loved seeing how it all played out.
I absolutely loved this book - one of those feel good stories that plays with your emotions, but leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

OMG! Excellent story, the characters are so believable and the steamy scenes are oh so steamy. Lex sounds so sexy and Anna, so tough but willing to change what she thought she always wanted for love.

This a well written and fast paced story that captivated me from the start. The storyline is entertaining and action packed. The characters are wonderful. Can not wait for the next book in this series.

Wow, I really loved this book!!! It was so well written and I loved how Hazel Harding made the story so believable!!! I felt like I was the one walking around Amsterdam! I can't wait for her to come out with some more books, but in the meantime, I would definitely recommend this one.

This story of how a short term relationship can turn in to so much more. Loved the story line and how the two lovers from different cultures come together in love and happiness.

Lex is sweet and loving. Anna is adventurous and fun and driven. This is a sweet story with plenty of heat. It has a lot of detail. So much detail it keeps you glued to the pages.

This book just didn't hit the mark for me. To be honest I just couldn't get into the book. The story just fell flat for me.
