This is the second time that I read one of Jasmine Farrell’s books and Release: Love Defamed touched my heart. I think that almost everybody has had a relationship where you feel that love has stopped. You don’t feel anything but misery of being there. Well in these cases the best is to truly move forward and leave the relationship. This is the best way for us to grow up and also to free our heart. I honestly just wish to have read this book sooner, because it could have opened my eyes.
This book is a short collection of poems that create a story with which we can also connect. You will be able to find small and longer poems, but they all have a true deep meaning. You will see yourself thinking and connecting to those poems while reading and to me that is an awesome experience.
Honestly my favourite poems are ‘Realizations while packing ‘’ and ‘Wicked ‘’ as they convey a deep feeling of love and sorrow. It is wonderful how Jasmine also could show us the feeling of someone drowning in their toxic love, where you don’t want to let go your partner, but at the same time you know that everything is getting worse and never better.
I recommend this book to readers who want to start reading poetry and are looking for a creative and passionate work.

This is my second Jasmine Farrell and I'm totally blown. She has an unique and engaging way of writing emotions amd experiences. It reaches the core of the readers. I connected to all the manupulation, hurt and confusion of being in a toxic relationship - the feeling of being stuck. But this book is not just that. This book is equally about liberation and coming out of tgis toxicity. This book is about realising that you are not alone in this journey and fighting back. This book is equal parts heartbreaking and inspiring. Definitely recommended.

So good! A testament to getting over and moving on...

In the third and final installment of the Release Series, Release: Love Defamed the author engages and challenges us to let go of the love we thought belonged to us and realize our own worth. The poems in this collection are both personal and relatable in a way that perhaps an experienced older sister would forewarn her little sister about dealing with boys. I really enjoyed it! Farrell, in typical fashion does not hold back and we need more of that:

While I enjoyed them all, my favorite poems in the collection are: Realizations While Packing, Keepin' It Phony, Faux Fam, 3:33am Regurgitation and A Relieving Fin.
