It's been a while since I've read a zombie book. This is an author in the FB BoH list that I'm reading from this year, and it's short ish at 99 pages
It started with a diary entry, but then it flashed back to the beginning of the virus. It was almost like reliving the start of COVID. The way the media scared us to death ( rightfully so) , the way some people coped and who can forget the lockdown?. The diary was about a group of survivors on the roof of their building, but it would break away to tell other people's stories ( people who were not on the roof).
The unique and interesting aspect of this one is that eventuality we get a glimpse inside a zombie's brains, and their thoughts (or lack of) and feelings. I haven't read from the zombie's version but maybe a handful of times.
I'm not huge on Covid reads because I lived through it, so why bring up such horrible memories? I'm glad our Covid didn't turn the dead into flesh hungry, walking corpses. Could you imagine that nightmare?
