4 stars overall

Rivalry by AA Davis-Reminiscent of VC Andrews. Fall head over heels for the rich boy, find out he’s your brother. Say fuck it! I will say when they discovered the truth, it was utterly gut wrenching. 4 stars

Kenji by Yolanda Olson-I don’t understand why this is part of the anthology. Pet play has never been a road I’ve been interested in going down. Wow, it only took like 80% of the story to find out their cousins. But really, that has no bearing on the plot. 2 stars

Coterie by Ally Vance- Aston is such a good man, caring and strong. He handled things so well that it’s hard to fault him for giving in. I definitely don’t fault Sonea for wanting him because he’s perfect.

“I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me.”
Soft, warm lips press against my forehead, and when his husky voice washes over me in the familiar blanket of comfort I’ve come to rely on, I feel the tears I was holding back slip free.
“Don’t do that again, Sonea. I’m not meant for you, sweetheart.”

And once Sean becomes involved, it feels complete. 5 stars

Take a Chance by JM Walker- Welp, I think the brothers might have another falling out. So he got the girl, now you get his little girl ... sounds fair. 🤣🙈 Luckily none of that happened, didn’t go quite as I expected but I’m good with that. 4.5 stars

Harley’s Aero by CL Matthews-Dark, quirky and fun. I liked the addition of blood play, the fact that they shared the same blood. Their relationship once Aero gave in was intense, steamy and beautiful. 4.5 stars

Buried Truths by Faith Ryan-Honestly it felt like this was a love story between two men who weren’t related. Their son/nephew was totally inconsequential in my mind. But that’s not why I wasn’t the biggest fan, it needed to be fleshed out, a lot. There was very little story here and what little there was, was simply glazed over. 3.5 stars

Deceit by Charity B-ok it’s adorable that he based the main character of his comic on his little sister. But obviously, he’s been obsessed for a while. And then asking her to move in with you. Well you’ve built the kindling and sprayed it with accelerant now you just need to light a match. Holy shit! I didn’t see that coming. Idk why I can’t stop laughing. And then it all suddenly made sense. Clever work Charity! That ending though ... savage! 4.5 stars

Deceit by Charity B.
Rating: 4.5 stars

The wrongness of it has me soaking through my underwear when he pushes down on my head with a groan, shoving himself between my lips.

All her life Isabela Hinkley had been a disappointment to her parents' eyes. She was excited for a new beginning when her brother Adam invited her to live with him. She never thought it would change both of their lives.

This story is my favorite so far in this anthology. A true taboo story with something extra that made it even filthier.

*stands in front of air conditioning*

my goodness.

I thought it was quite clever to start this anthology with Rivalry by A.A. Davies. uh huh... like a small taste. Almost innocent taste. It misleads you into thinking you know what you're in for. But as the pages turn, I found myself heating up.

I see what you guys did there.

So here we are trudging along.. like "ok, that was fascinating" to be slapped in the face with Kenji by Yolanda Olson. If you enjoy these kinds of reads, I know you've read her work or have come across it. Come on now, you know you're in for something...

.... and by the time your mind is muddled in the story and you get a little clarity .. it already stuck with you. Like the leeches you inadvertently picked up when you wade in the swamp. You only realize it later as an afterthought why it was such a captivating read.

Follow that up with Coterie by Ally Vance. Oh my. The tension in this one really helped our feelings along as the final collision came to view. And what a collision that was. Full of limbs.

Take a Chance by JM Walker. I feel the organization of the anthology was done on purpose. Like the wave of an orgasm. The ups and downs. It was a slow build from the first story to the peak brought on by Coterie. Take a Chance is the lull before the storm again. It gave me the same sense of that initial taste we got with the first story.

And just like with Kenji, we are slapped in the face .... shot with an arrow with Harley's Aero by C.L. Matthews. Goodness gracious. A little red never hurt either.

Buried Truths by Faith Ryan. Stop, just stop. It's that cresting of the orgasm again. Where you're almost there at the finish line with Harley's Aero .... You get to Buried Truths and your orgasm peaks again. Lovely. Delicious.

And the last but not least .. Deciet by Charity B. I am quite a fan of her writing. I think I've mentioned in one of my other reviews for one of her other stories ... she has a certain flavor to her characters. It seems to be a style she has. Stubborn. Stubborn in who they are. But mixing it with this storyline was just what we needed to end such an anthology. Like .. knowing the consequences of all your bad and delicious decisions ... but doing it anyway.

Overall, this anthology deserves 5 stars. Brilliant in its organization of stories, how it played out. Brilliant in its use of author talent to bring it all together.

It is a good thing we pay our electric bill .. because the internal inferno I had by the end, would have burned the house down.

REVIEW: Roughly 18 months apart these brothers have a push-pull, love-hate relationship. Cutting, blood play, and pain are their kinks. Plus I've always loved a man with well placed metal and one brother has a prince albert…you know the important things always get mentioned 😉 This is a complete story with a HEA.

I spoke with the author and there are plans to republish this story in the future. But you can meet their new friends now:
✨Texas and Devin are from Loveless, originally published in the Forbidden anthology.
✨ Kenji and Atlas are from The Bet, originally published in the Society anthology.

BLURB: She’s young, perfect, and just what I need… When I meet Rina at the bar after friends invite me out, it takes everything in my power not to consume her from the first moment. A few drinks later when we are still nothing more than just a name to each other, we take it to the next level anyway. After spending the night wrapped up in each other, a family obligation comes up and we part ways. But I never expected to see her again and so soon. Especially at my brother’s place.

REVIEW: I’ve reread this one story more times than I can count.

Rating: 5⭐️

BLURB: These desires that should tear us apart only draw us closer together.
Blood binds, desire unites, and secrecy protects us. But what happens when the secrets become too much and the seams that hold them start to split? Our family is hanging by a thread, and at any moment it could snap. The consequences of my actions weigh heavily on my shoulders. It’s not just me who could get hurt, all three of us could suffer for my actions. The snowball is rolling and it’s gaining speed, and I’ve no way to stop it before it collides with our family.
We can either adapt, endure, and survive, or be forever crushed by the avalanche.
✨ this story has been republished under the same name ✨

REVIEW: This story has been republished. Abandoned by their father, these three siblings are left to raise themselves. The twins were too young. They couldn’t survive on their own so their older brother steps up and becomes their caretaker, their protector, their everything. I never knew this was a story I’d want to read. It has a wide array of family dynamics that collide into one unbelievable winter break. They truly keep it all in the family. The multiple voyeuristic endeavors alone were hot AF and left me needing more. HFN ending.

♥️ RIVALRY: A Lakemere Story part 1 by A.A. Davies (MF)
Rating: 4⭐️

BLURB: One look. One touch. One decision that would change everything. Two worlds collided the moment I laid eyes on her. I’d never known that all consuming feeling until the moment Sage came into my life. We came from opposite worlds, but I didn’t care. The bridge that separated the two sides of our town was just a roadblock I could speed through. She was my new obsession and I was her perfect Storm. I refused to give up. Until buried secrets were exposed. I was always meant to love her, I just wasn’t sure in what way.

REVIEW: This story seems like a simple storyline. Rich boy falls for a girl from the other side of the tracks. Rival schools. Different crowds. The jock and the outsider. Then everything changed in the last few pages. While I started to see the twist being hinted at, I kept trying to discount my suspicions up until the very end. And Storm and Sage didn’t care, not one bit. They just rolled on with life and a HEA. This story was also republished in the now out-of-print Aftertaste collection without changes.

The complete Lakemere series is comprised of four interconnected stories. The author hasn’t mentioned if this will ever be republished as an omnibus, but we can all cross our fingers and hope!!
➡️ PART 1: RIVALRY
✨ PART 2: RESIST is a FF romance about Sage’s best friend Thalia that was published in the Girls Night anthology. Thalia and Haven are a complicated HFN.
✨ PART 3: UNRULY is a forbidden romance between Haven’s big brother Rush and his ex-girlfriends mother that was published in the OUTLAWS anthology.
✨ PART 4: INDECENT is a forbidden romance between Blaise, a Chicago Fire Captain and partime doorman at Vibe, and his niece that was published in the Final Family Affair anthology.

Rating: 4⭐️

BLURB: Snow Montgomery walked into my life one day and everything changed.
From the moment that I first saw her, I knew I would never want anyone else.
And when our eyes met and I saw the look of hope in hers, I couldn’t help but realize that she felt the same.
Months have been spent beneath the roof of my house.
I provide for her as best as I can because I want to be the man she needs more than the one she deserves.
I teach her discipline and reward her when she’s been good. Food, water, the constant knowledge of knowing she’ll always have shelter over her head is what I can do best for now.
Always.
A word that holds more meaning to me now than it ever has.
It’s what she promised me.
It’s what I have to look forward to with Snow.
And I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
Always.

REVIEW: Kenji keeps Snow as his companion. She is his pet fox. Her day-to-day life is what you would expect for a pet. She is collared, fed from a bowl, and made to sleep at Kenji's feet. This took the games of a dom in a new direction for me but overall I have to say I am highly intrigued with Kenji and hope to see more this Japanese tattoo artist. Especially with that ending!! We're left wondering what secrets the future hold. *At this time the Irongate series has not been released. This story was also republished in Aftertaste without changes.

♥️ BURIED TRUTHS by Faith Ryan (MMM)
Rating: 4⭐️

BLURB: -GIDEON-
I’ve lived a fairly sheltered life, but I knew it was for the best. My mother’s illness controlled our lives and now that’s she’s gone, I’m afraid my father will bury himself alongside her. Then he shows up. A connection to my father’s past and my mother’s only remaining family. He may just be the saving grace we need.
-BISHOP-
My wife and son have been my world for so long, I don’t know how I’ll make it through now that she’s gone. Being strong for Gideon is the only thing I can do. Until my past shows up with an offer I can’t refuse. Feelings I buried long ago threaten to take up residence in my heart once again and shatter the illusion of myself I’ve created.
-ORLANDO-
It’s taken my sister’s death for me to face Bishop after so many years. I’ve never forgotten or given up hope that we’d see each other again. Their son radiates love and innocence that, like a magnet, pulls me in just the same as he does Bishop.
Past mistakes tore us apart, but he is the key to bring us all together. All we need to do is unbury the truths of who we really are.
✨ This story has been republished individually and as part of the Menagerie collection✨

REIVEW: Well that was a fun one. Ménage has never seemed as taboo as it does in this story. Parents, siblings, children, uncles - lines get blurred and then obliterated. Fears lead to repressed emotions and years of pain. Conforming to societal norms can be a real bitch sometime. But not giving a fuck can change your world. Opening up at the funeral of Ophelia, Bishop's wife and Gideon's mother, her brother Orlando reunites with the family after close to 20 years separation. A forced separation that arose once Bish realized that he was in love with his girlfriends brother.

Fighting feeling from the past and grieving the loss of the woman all three men cherished, they leave the city and venture into the woods. Isolation does funny things to people and soon all three are sharing experiences in ways they never thought possible. Expect a cute lingerie fetish, daddy games, and insatiable moments.

REVIEW: I’m glad I decided to give this story a try, I wasn’t sure if I’d be reading anything else from this author after finding the Skeleton King not to my linking.

Isobela was treated as a deviant and a disgrace most of her life by people who should have loved her. Albeit she was the oops baby, fourteen years younger than her brother, her parent's didn’t need to be so self righteous. I'm a little tired of reading about conservative, religious parent's doing wrong by their children. People like this make up a very small minority, yet their existence in books is shockingly common.

Adam finally having grown tired of his sister's mistreatment, moves her into his apartment. The siblings get reacquainted and everything seems great until Bella discovers a long forgotten picture of a woman from Adam's past. Truths are revealed and the attraction that's been running amok takes an even deeper taboo shift.

Yet it was Isabela’s love for narwhal’s that had me laughing at this story. For every mention, I'd hear that ridiculous narwhal song in my head!! If you have no clue what I’m talking about here’s a link. I contacted the author and there are plans to expand and republish this story in the future.

Well, this one was actually a bit better than than the first anthology.

I really like the first story by A.A. Davies (siblings), the third one by J.M. Walker (uncle-niece) and the last story by Charity B (siblings with a twist 😉). The middle stories were just touch and go. The threesome story was the least favourite. That one was uncomfortable. That's not the ddlg (or is it ddlb?) that I want. Nope. Nope.

Rivalry by: A.A. Davies
3 stars
honestly, i found the little plot twist at the end of the story much better than if it were to happen in the beginning. i think this one felt most like a story in compared to any of the other short stories i’ve read in an anthology and i think it had a good amount of everything which made it better. however, the plot was a bit basic and bland for my liking as i’ve read a couple books with this same plot before.

Kenji by: Yolanda Olson
1.5 stars
this book…um…wow. i’ve read my fair share of weird books before with very disturbing themes, but for some reason, this book just felt so…weird. i didn’t understand the “connection” between both MC’s until like the very end ish of the book and the whole “pup” and “leash” thing and treating Snow like a dog was just beyond me. A big no from me on this book.

Coterie by: Ally Vance
4.5 stars
i was not expecting to like this story as much as i did. it was filled to the brim with angst, suspense and loads of smut which i devoured. although this story was EXTREMELY taboo, i enjoyed it nonetheless and definitely do not recommend anyone below 18 to read this as it consists of very mature themes (as well as the other stories in this anthology). Ally Vance is a great writer as i’ve loved some of her other work such as the Midnight Bite Series. like i said, this book was definitely a high ranking book for me and for some reason, i can’t even tell why.

Take a Chance by: JM Walker
3.5 stars
the sex. the sex was just..everything. that’s all i have to say about this story.

Harley’s Aero by: C.L. Matthews
5 stars
THIS is the type of story I love. dark and degrading dirty talk with the hottest angst/suspense and sex scenes equals to my type of story. Aero and Harley truly did it for me and this is probably the story that i’ve enjoyed the most out of them all. i’m so pissed that there’s no full novel about these two because not to sound like a slut, but i would truly do anything, and i mean ANYTHING, to get a full novel. i’m praying, on my knees, begging, that C.L. Matthews gives us a full novel about these two in the future or at least some extra/bonus content about them because i seriously need more of them to even function.

Buried Truths by: Faith Ryan
2 stars
after reading the first page of this story, i honestly should have stopped. from the beginning, i was somewhat confused since the story/characters were hopping from one event to another in the blink of an eye which also caused a severe lack of real chemistry and connection between the three MMC’s. the entire story felt far too rushed and it didn’t even feel like much of a story at all. in all honesty, it kinda felt like a bunch of different situations jumbled together with not much of a meaning behind any of it.

Deciet by: Charity B.
4 stars
if you’re looking for a story with a decent plot, a good amount of steam and a plot twist mid way through it then this story is for you. this is probably my second favourite story out of this anthology (asides from Harley’s Aero which, in my opinion, no stories in this anthology topped that one) and it just added another reason as to why Charity B is one of my favourite authors. Charity definitely knows how to write an extra taboo story with just the right amount of plot and plot twists.

There was a good collection of stories in this anthology. It has something for everyone I think.

Rivalry by A A Davies- M/F This story was sweet. I could see this being expanded into a longer story.

Kenji by Yolanda Olson- M/F If you never read a Yolanda Olson story before, don't expect to feel good at the end of this tale. Enjoyed seems an odd word to describe what I felt reading this story but I love when a story can make me have very strong reactions.

This story has pet play and is dub/non con

Coterie by Ally Vance- MMF This was a hot read.

Take a Chance by JM Walker- M/F This was a hot and a bit of a kinky read. I liked the epilogue to this story and what it suggests for the main characters in this.

Harley's Aero by CL Mathews- MM. It wasn't my favorite but only due to my preferences. It was a good story and I like when I read something I haven't read before.

This story has blood play in it.

Deciet by Charity B- MF I am a big fan of Charity B and was looking forward to this story. It has quite the twist. At first it reads as a typical "no we can't do this your my sister" read but it was much more than that.

Wow... the whole thing was definitely taboo as fuck (and obviously not for everyone) but I loved it. I’m not normally into short stories but I loved almost all of these.

My favorites were:
Rivalry - definitely want a stand-alone, longer length book with this storyline.

Coterie - ABSOLUTE FAVE. I loved all three characters and I wish I could read more of them.

Harley’s Aero - seriously love’s both characters and I think I recognized the Loveless bar? I read a short story with the other two characters, one of which owned that bar.

Buried Truths - Double fucked-up story but I loved it.

Deceit - Damnnnnn, Charity B. really knows how to throw you for a loop. It was taboo in the first place but she goes a step further and it becomes even MORE taboo. Woooooow. I fucking loved it.

Take a Chance - was good but not my fave. Still enjoyed it.

I did not really love Kenji, but the whole pet situation isn’t really my thing.

Overall I’d definitely give this a 4.5. I wish this was available for longer than 3 months AND I wish I could go back and find the first family affair volume because I feel like I’m missing out. Damn... this was so good. I might have to just buy it to read later, and I never do that. These stories are going to be stuck in my head for awhile, I’m sure.

Rivalry by A.A. Davies
3.75 ★

“I gave him all of me. Everything fell away as our tongues danced to a beat only we could create.”

At 17 years old and still in high school, Storm and Sage live in opposite worlds, but the connection they share is undeniable. This story was quick, and while it captured emotions, I wanted a little bit more development about certain elements. That said, I am content with the taboo nature of the story.

Kenji by Yolanda Olson
3.5 ★

“Fuck karma."

Kenji is a tattoo artist who wants to make his pet unique, though he knows his methods are immoral he is willing to take the risk.

I liked the various dark elements in this story, but it lacked essential details to be a foundation or fully developed short story. However, with a series forthcoming, perhaps all will be revealed in time.

A taboo anthology. As I read I realized that I have read some of these stories a long while ago.

* Rivalry-A.A. Davies ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A sad situation within a well written story. Very high heat. Two nice M/F MCs.
* Kenji-Yolanda Olson No stars for a dreadful story of abuse and kidnapping. Not siblings.
*Coterie-Ally Vance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Older brother takes care of younger twins after the father abandons them. They are all grown in this MMF story.
* Take a Chance-JM Walker ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Very good M/F. Surprise twist. Not sibs.
* Harley’s Aero-C.L. Matthews ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was some Grand Guignol relationship between two brothers. It made the taboo aspect look tame. Very hot, but weird.
* Buried Truths-Faith Ryan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Straight up taboo MMM
* Deceit-Charity B. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow! What a trip!
I have got to know what happens next between these two. Is there a sequel to this M/F story??
I haven’t read this story before anywhere, which made the ending more of a jolt.

The greatest of taboo

First review is for Kenji by Yolanda Olson
First of all I bloody loved Kenji the big chunk of tattooed hotness. The broody tattoo artist has everything he wants in Snow his white haired beauty until betrayal strikers...I'm left needing more from this character so I'm not so patiently waiting.
Next in my review is Harleys Aero by CL Matthews
This is the first time reading a anything by this author and I flipped loved it..I'm not ashamed to say it was hot and between the brothers it was a great introduction to a new.to me author.

I was glued to the pages and wow I did not see that coming at all what a twist and an OMG no way but yes way and you killed me with the ending leave it to Charity and her awesome words.
This was super sexy and a whole lot of taboo at its finest with so many feels and passion Adam and Isabela were great characters but I did like the parents they were so mean and rude. I really hope we get more because I LOVED IT.

Horrible ending.

The first story ending. Just ends. It leaves you hanging. The chapter ends and so does the story. It doesn’t feel finished.
And there’s no epilogue. The story was just getting good.
Is there going to be a book coming out with what happens to Sage and Storm? How the story ends for them?

Not a great start into this book.

The second story.

This story wasn’t taboo. It was more fucked up then taboo. Even finding out they are first cousins. I just kept thinking... why is this story even in this anthology.
I just couldn’t wrap my head around why Snow was into all the puppy play? It took forever to find out the whole taboo thing of them being cousins. But even longer why Kenji was treating Snow like a puppy.
If this was a dark and twisted anthology. This story would fit right in. But it’s not! Feeding Snow blended food so she can lick it up from a dog bowl. Then we walks her down the street with a dog leash! lol for people to see her. Then he puts a hit on her to have her killed!
Yeah... no.

For every secret she promised to keep, I would allow her a meal. She’s earned two so far, so tomorrow will be a good day for her."

Before I leave the house the next morning, I’m sure to serve Snow her breakfast. I’ve made her homemade hash browns and a couple of slices of toast with butter. I mixed everything neatly inside of the blender so that it will be easier for her to lick up, then spilled the concoction into her food bowl. I was also kind enough to fill her water one as well even though that’s not considered part of her meals."

I’m heading to work now, lunch is in the fridge, okay? The red bowl with the saran wrap around it,” I tell her as I watch her crawl toward her breakfast. She looks up at me with her hopeful eyes and I lean down, tilt her chin up toward me, and kiss her gently on the lips."

Thank you,” she tells me softly when she reaches her bowl. I nod as I linger long enough to watch her tongue begin to lap the contents out before I turn and walk out of the house."

Snow stops moving for a moment and I give the leash a hard tug, causing her to pitch forward and damn near land on her face. When she looks up at me and sees the stern look in my eyes, she takes a deep breath and keeps moving."

He says he loves his cousin! She’s been through a lot. But then he does this. I mean WTF!

Go to fifteen sixty-seven and knock on the door. Sariah lives there. I want you to bring her back to this intersection. I’ll explain when we get back to the house, okay?” I lean down and unclip the leash and smack Snow on the ass to send her on her way. Hopefully, she’ll make it to Sariah and back again. And if she doesn’t, then I’ll find a way to forgive myself for the danger I sent her into for someone that really shouldn’t even matter."

Fuck karma. I have someone out there ready to get them both for me. And until the moment comes that I can walk out of the gates and piss on their graves for doing this to me, I’ll wait with the fire of vengeance burning in my heart."

The ending.... this story was horrible.
I’ll just move on to the next story.

Wow... this story was wild! Didn’t see the surprise close to the end of that one!

This was a good one. I could see how this could happen. Nick and Rina has no clue they were related at all. I felt their shock.
This was a good story.

M/m story.

I’ve read two other books by this author and I really didn’t care for them. So I stopped reading her books. But I wanted to give her another try in this anthology. I went into this story with a open mind. I was hoping this story would click with me. It didn’t. Ughhh
Just like the first story in this book. This story felt more twisted and dark.... not taboo. Yes they are brothers. But everything Aero does and how he acts is just dark.

Then when we get to the knife/ blood play. Aero needs to inflict pain and Harley needs to feel pain. I’m just not into all that. Then you got Aero licking the blood. Nicking the head of Harley’s penis and licking the blood from there. Then you got Harley slicing Aero while they’re having sex and licking the blood off the blad!
Yeah... I wasn’t into all that. I’m sure some people are all into that kinda kink... and to each their own. But it felt out of place for me in this anthology.

He grabs the knife he discarded earlier and brings it to my hips. The blade is turned toward him, not penetrating my skin as he slides it across the veins and muscles there. They ache, flexing in anticipation of the pain. They want it, his pinch of dolor, something he’s saved only for me."

The slice is as narrow as a paper cut, but it has me groaning. His eyes flick to mine. The adoration and hunger there isn’t to be questioned. He needs this as much as I do. His gaze goes back down to where the blade connects him to me. He slides it deeper, and the sizzle under my skin from the ruth of his ministrations has me whimpering. When I peer down, the line he traced prickles with blood. The little bubbles of near-black are absolutely beautiful."

Leaning down, cresting over his work, his tongue slicks against me. “Aero.” No more words escape my lips. It’s unnecessary, but I’m unnerved by each new sensation between us. He lifts up, his lips smeared with our shared DNA. Perfect."

I trail the blade across his balls, making sure not to slice deep, needing the raised skin but not the rush of blood. It’s beautiful, the way it peaks, reddens, and elevates as if it’s acknowledging my work. The silver glints over the underside of his shaft that weeps at the tip for me. His parted thighs flex when I nick his head. He cries out softly as I kiss the mark, taking every prick of blood. It’s taunting me, slicing him this way, marking him permanently in reverence for only us."

We’re a mess of thrusts, sweat, and blood. He reaches for the knife and brings it to my chest. I stop to watch him. The tip digs into me, bringing a sweet hiss of pleasure-pain I never knew I wanted. It kisses me like a long-lost lover as he slides it across my chest. It’s purposeful, each glide of silver against my skin. The wet life seeps from each strike. It tingles and burns, sliding down my chest in a promise."

He takes the knife, crimson coating the blade, brings it to his mouth, and licks it while keeping his gaze connected with mine. It’s such a heady look, biding us together. After its clean of our shared blood, he sets it down and bares down on me."

This story had a twist to it. I liked it!

The first Family Affaires books was all forbidden taboo stories. I loved it. This one... I felt missed the mark. Some of the authors I felt took it way over to the dark and twisted side of things. I wished they had Just kept it strictly forbidden taboo. And skipped the whole fetish play kinda stuff. Puppy play/ sadomasochism/blood play.
Walking a girl on a leash & blending her food and putting it in a dog bowl for to lick it up. And the blood licking was way over the top.
Only a couple of stories were good in this anthology.

This review is based on the contribution story from Yolanda Olson.

In this story you meet Kenji, Snow and friends.
Kanji requires certain attributes of love from Snow in their relationship and is not afraid to show her the way. Now, for Snow, there is something about her that I just can't put my finger on. As in all relationships, there are bumps in the road, but will their love be forever and always? And will outside sources influence their commitment to each other?

The read for this story goes quick as the author lures you from one page to the next with the story line and characters. I was intrigued by all the characters in this story and would love to know more about them.

This review is for Kenji by Yolanda Olson:
What a way to get me in gear for Another Family Affair. While I always thought I wouldn't want to read anything with incest in it, Yolanda makes me wonder what else I'd be willing to read!
This story follows the relationship between Kenji, a tattoo artist, and Snow, his little woman. The dynamic between the two is definitely interesting, and seeing the way their relationship flows is crazy.
As with most of Yolanda's short stories, I want more, and to see what happens next, but this is a great little morsel to whet your appetite.

WOW !!!
This review is for Kenji by Yolanda Olson

I am very excited for Another family affair and what a start. Kenji is a tattoo artist who does not have a care in the world expect for Snow Montgomery. Their relationship must be a secret and has its challenges. From the way Kenji shows his affections, to the question if Snow truly feels the same way. We are introduced to kenji's small group of friends and I was left wondering exactly what their influence and intentions are.
This is a quick well written fast pasted story that left me desperate for more.

Another Family Affair. Average rating of 3.5

Rivalry, by AA Davies. 4 stars
Brother/Sister. 1-16%. This one had my insides squealing like a little girl. The connection was great between Storm and Sage, and the complete disregard that Storm had for what anyone else thought, it made for a great read. I would have loved for this one to be a full story.

Kenji, by Yolanda Olson. 2 stars
Cousins. 17%-32%. I spent a good part of this story trying to figure out what was going on. Not just the connection between Snow and Kenji, but why he was acting the way he did. And I’m not sure that I ever found out. The whole story left me confused and that may be why I didn’t really like it. Though, body mods and slave training themes have never been my thing, so that could also be why this one is probably my least favorite.

Coterie, by Ally Vance. 3.5 stars
Siblings, MMF. 32%-45%. The first story of the anthology that actually started with the main characters knowing about their relationship! I was beginning to wonder if they were all going to be mysteries to both the characters and the readers. This time, we have twins and an older brother. While I was glad to see the MMF, I’m not sure that I felt the connection between the brothers, and (I can’t believe that I’m saying this but) I almost feel like it would have been better off just having Sean and Sonea and Aston and Sonea, without the Sean/Aston pairing. Still, a good story, and I would love to see more of this family in a full book.

Take a Chance, by JM Walker. 4 stars
Uncle/Niece. 46%-58%. This one was gearing up to be a full 5 stars for me, it gave me all the tingles while reading it. The we got to the end of the book and I lost some love for it, though it was a bit redeemed by the epilogue. Another one that I would love to see an extended version of, because these two were HAWT!

Harley’s Aero, by CL Matthews. 3.5 stars
Brothers. 58%-73%. Another story that started out so good! Harley and Aero had a relationship that I wanted to follow from start to finish. I didn’t love how it was presented in flashbacks when events aligned with the story, I would have like to have seen the flow more linear. There was something about the whole writing style that didn’t jive with me. But their connection was everything! I’m also not into knife/blood play themes, so that lost my interest a little there too.

Buried Truths, by Faith Ryan. 3.5 stars
Brothers-in-law, Son/nephew. 73%-84%. This one took me a minute to get into, but by the end, I was loving this trio and their story. I wouldn’t mind seeing an extended story for them.

Deceit, by Charity B. 3.5 stars
Brother/Sister*. 84%-99%. This one had a few interesting twists, and up until the last page, felt like it was basically a complete story. But how it ended makes me think there might possibly be a full story coming, and I’d be here for that!

I don't really know how to Review an anthology. So I'd do it the Best i can.

Overall view: I think I liked this book because it spoke to some Twister dark side inside me I wasn't aware of and I really did enjoyed it.
Rivary- A.A. Davies⭐⭐⭐- This was really short of my liking and it was pretty interesting but it wasn't enough for me.

Kenji-Yolanda Olson ⭐⭐ - AAAAHHH, this was pretty damn fucked up, I didn't understood what the author was actually trying to do with the story.

Coterie- Ally Vance ⭐⭐⭐⭐- Oh, this one was so fucking hot and crazy. I really fucking liked this one.

Take a chance J.M. Walker ⭐⭐⭐- This one was maybe my least favorite of all? I didn't like Nick I had a really hard time trying to get into this short story and it was the characters mostly that didn't do it for me.

Harley's hero- C.L. Matthews-⭐⭐⭐⭐- This one really tugged at my heart. I think maybe my favorite of this anthology. The characters were painful to read and so devilish. They were twisted and so fucking dark it tingled. Aero was just really fucking fucked-up man, but I LOVED him.
And let's not talk about Harley because I spend the hole story imagine him like Machine Gun Kelly (with different hair) imagine that made this a very pleasure-filled journey.

Buried Truths- Faith Ryan-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- This one for me takes the cake. It was beyond twisted in every sense of the fucking word and it totally did it for me. I don't understand how things work in this kind of relationships but from the whole book they were the most mushy- lovey-dovey threesome ever. AND HOT AF.

Deceit- Charity B.-⭐⭐⭐- This story just as the title said was pure deceit and left me wanting more. A lot fucking more. It was good even though it took me a little bit to warm up to the characters.

A fabulous collection of stories. I particularly loved that were such a range of taboos and sexualities. I had two firm five star favourites (Rivalry by AA Davies & Harley's Aero by CL Matthews). There were only one or two I didn't enjoy quite as much as the others - but that's a personal preference thing - they were well written reads. 'Tis tricky to rate an anthology, but by my reckoning, for what it's worth?

Dirty little secret

Shoooo we, would you look at the dirty little secret we have here. This anthology is not for the faint of heart, which makes it so much more delicious. Every story was amazingly done and the writing styles were phenomenal.

There are two things you are going to need to get through this book. An open mind and extra pair of panties.
