The Ocean Raiders is an action-adventure story written about Nicholas Foxe and his team of code hunters. Nick is invited to Venice by Niven Dowd, a billionaire who owns several high-tech companies. There is a big flood coming, and his underwater excavation work findings need to be deciphered by Nick.
On the other hand, Nick finds this trip as an opportunity to meet his ex-girlfriend, Christine. She works for Dowd as the public relations director.
As Nick and his team try to help, things get out of hand. A group of assassins want something that Nick has found, and the story unfolds a journey filled with action, mystery, and adventure.
The author’s second book was just as good as his first one. I was expecting the same quality writing and style of storytelling. It is fast-paced with the added romance, the book relished with flavor, characters, and escapade.
I recommend you read the first book before this one as the foundation wasn’t just entirely there, and some may have found it confusing otherwise.
The literature was skillfully written with care and portrayed Venice, Switzerland, and, Istanbul beautifully. The villain was nicely executed and added an intriguing conquest of drama to the mix.
I recommend this book to action-adventure readers.

One of the hardest things an author can do is not only maintain but capitalize on the momentum of a first novel and put it all into the sequel, and yet that is exactly what author Jackson Coppley has done. The action, the intrigue, and the mystery all came together naturally and left me as a reader on the edge of my seat.
The author equally balances the sci-fi and historical action and mythology with great character development in this sequel. The shocking turn of events through the novel keeps readers invested in the protagonist Nick Fox’s journey, and the reveal of the mysterious Frost will leave readers floored as the nefarious actions of the criminal are revealed.

An evenly paced action-adventure and science fiction narrative, author Jackson Coppley does a marvelous job of upping the stakes and drama of this harrowing historical fiction/sci-fi series with “The Ocean Raiders”. This story seemed a little disjointed for me. I felt like I was missing part of the story. Like there should have been an introduction or a book before this one. Not one of the better books I have read this year.

This is yet another "new to me" author and after reading this book, I am looking forward to the rest of them. I just now realized I read the second book in the series, so I am going to have to go back to the first one. Anyway, this book started with someone trying to kidnap the main character and the action continued to the end of the book. The characters are very interesting, endearing, and full of life, the plot is easily followed through a ton of twists, turns, and switchbacks, and there is a bit of romance, loss, and potential for more romance, along with diabolical antagonists. I most definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the books.

Nick and the team's adventure takes them to Venice. The loss of a love a discovery that was meant to help all mankind but greed gets in the way. You need to be quick to keep up with Nick and co this adventure is to save Venice yet the discovery could help the world. Who is on who's side dodging bullets knives and garrotts they have to play the game to win over the police the bad guys and gals. Will they make it to save Venice and it's people. An adventure you don't want to miss

Fantastic! Nonstop action, awesome characters, great atmosphere! I'm only sad that I didn't know there was a novel before this one. I'm still going to read the first one, just wish it'd been in order. AWESOME book!!

Very enjoyable read.
I thoroughly enjoyed this second of two Nick Rose adventures. Good characters, fast paced action and many venues with which I am familiar and have visited on my travels. Thank you, Jackson, for another good one.

Awesome Adventure

The Ocean Raiders is the second Nicholas Foxe adventure story I’ve read. It’s better than the first one! Author Jackson Coppley manages to keep the action and adventure going from page one to the finish.
The pacing is electric. The characters from the first adventure continue their quest to solve the mysteries of the items they’ve uncovered. I especially love the female characters. They are smart, brave, and sassy. The new characters are many and diverse. Although some are not destined to survive this book, I hope to see several continue in the series.
The settings are once again lushly described. I’ve never been to Venice, but I can envision it perfectly from Coppley’s words.
The Ocean Raiders is a perfect blend of science fiction with history and personal relationships creating an excellent book for lovers of nearly all genres.
I will anxiously await the next Nicholas Foxe adventure.
