Rate this book
— A creepy old house on a hill,
— A cheating husband killed in cold-blood,
— A crazy, bed-ridden aunt,
— A sister with psychosomatic blindness…

Laura never expected her married life with Randall would begin in such a sinister place, or that her mother-in-law would be so scheming and cold-hearted. What was she hiding? And what lengths would she go to keep her secrets from being exposed? Sara must have discovered the truth. But what really happened to Sara? Did she take her own life or was it murder? And if Laura digs too deeply for the answer, will she be the third person to die in that creepy old house on the hill?

This book was the best gothic that I've read in a long time. She is a great writer. I'm looking forward to more of her books.

This is the second gothic written by Claire Kensington, a pen name used by Renee Ross.
In her usual flair she has created an exciting story that's hard to put down. Her characters are brought to life with humor and torment. Laura, the main character, is easy to like as you follow her through the story's thrills and chills.
Who doesn't enjoy a spooky old house full of secrets and ghosts just waiting to be uncovered?
With a well-crafted touch she manages to include movie-type jump scares right on the written pages that are sure to leave goosebumps.
This writer has surpassed my former favorites and has proven herself as a consistently exceptional author.
Her books are like a box of chocolates. Pure indulgence.
