Wow! All I can say is Faleena Hopkins does it again. As always the author brings the whole Cocker family together again not just our hero and heroine. And what I love about this series is that at book 23 it's not just a rehashing of the same story over and over. Our hero has always known what he wants to do with his life professionally but has to dig deep about who he has become in his personal life and where he wants to be and it's a beautiful ride to go along for. And it's just as beautiful to see our heroine by his side every step of the way. The leaps of faith taken by everyone in this story is something we all should take to heart. You will need your tissues for all the feels you will feel reading this story. I had to step away a few times just to be able to finish. That is all due to Faleena Hopkins and her wonderful storytelling. You will ABSOLUTELY NOT be disappointed in reading this story and adding this book to your library because I definitely will be
This is a highly emotional book about Jeremy Cocker's youngest son, Wyatt. He is a bit of a player but a darn good cop. He is also extremely attractive, so much so women have started a fan club online and are posting pictures of him on the job. This attracts the attention of his new boss and not in a good way. Can Wyatt change his womanizing ways? Can he earn Diana (his great grandmother Grams' activities director) respect and trust and start a meaningful relationship with her? Loved this book, so wonderful
This is Wyatt’s story. He meets Diana during a severe storm. She knows who he is, and has a tie to another member of his family. They have an immediate connection, but also drive each other a little crazy as well. There is a slow burn to their romance as they take the time to get to know each other. I caught myself smiling at times, but also had my eyes burning with tears on a couple of occasions. I really enjoyed their story.
This book isn’t my first cocker family book, I’ve read them all- but this is so much more! I had all the feels with this one! It had me in tears then laughing, heartwarming then laughing again, and reminiscing about the other books and family members, and then in tears again- happy and sad tears- but even if you don’t like a tear jerker read it! I’m emotionally involved with this series!
Loved it! Love this family. They are so beautifully written with charismatic personalities and it's great to know who you are reading about from previous books when they pop in. As usual lots of laughter but a few more tears too. A nostalgic feel throughout. Great! Again!!
I picked up the 1st book in this series over a year ago and fell in love with this Family. If you’re looking for steamy romance and sometimes some laughs and tears all while feeling you are almost a part of the Family; then you will love this series. Can’t wait for the next one!
What a fantastic read! Faleena has done it again, she not only managed to introduce us to a new family member each book ( can you believe this is book 23??!!) but she also managed to teach us a valuable life lesson in each and every one of them.
Wyatt is a complex character who on first impressions has all the swagger you would expect from a Cocker, but as his story unfolds we can see that he is actually only trying to live up to the identity he’s been given, by not only his family but his public fan base who stalk him whilst at work! He doesn’t realise that he is so much more than that. Everyone has a moment in their lives when they realise they are more than others think, or where they realise they want to be more, Wyatt has one of these moments when he meets Diana. I especially loved how Diana ignored all the warnings she was given about him (and some from very reliable sources) and went with her instinct and with the person he was with her, it was very touching.
It was also really nice to see all the Cockers together, albeit under such sad circumstances but we also got to see more of Nancy and Michael (who hadn’t always been painted favourably) and to know that true love never dies, there’s just a bit of a waiting period until you’re reunited again. ( yes have your tissues ready)
I also feel I should mention Washington, he was a great addition and I would really love to know more about him as I bet he has an awesome heart wrenching story.
Cocky Cop by Faleena Hopkins is right up there with all the stories about the Cocker family. I should know since I have read every single one of them at least once, some three times as well as all of her other books which were excellent. So I thinks it’s about time that I actually write a review. I don’t know what took me so long! Wyatt, Jeremy the retired Marine’s son, Michael and Nance’s grandson and May’s (Gram’s) great-grandson, is all grown up and is a handsome, sexy cop with a big heart. Wyatt had the reputation as a player but when he fell for Diana he fell hard. They met in an unconventional way which turned out to be very humorous. I don’t normally run through the details of the story in my reviews because other reviews go into that detail and I can just disclose enough to make it interesting and also stay clear of spoilers. We get a lose look at what led Wyatt into law enforcement and the decisions he made that showed his maturity and sensitivity. You couldn’t help but love him. Although there was very little angst in the story there was a lot of bittersweet moments that made me pause and think about how fleeting life is. I loved Diana and her funny as easy-going personality and kindness. She had a lot of spark but no snark which was what made her such a likeable character. It was always good to reconnect with the members of the Cocker family. I am ready to reread another few Cocker family books. I keep hoping that Faleena will write a book about Ben and Shelby’s dynamic in the family and what makes them appear withdrawn from the rest of the family. I can highly recommend this and every other book by Faleena Hopkins. Whatever she writes is a 1 click for me. You won’t be disappointed in Wyatt and Diana’s story. It has all the feels of a great modern day romance.
I devoured this book. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes from the epilogue. I can't fathom how a series with so many books just continues to make me want more. I couldn't say which book in the series is my favorite, but I can say that I was emotionally wrecked with this one for more than one reason. The Cocker family is full of arrogant, cocky men and strong, formidable women. Wyatt and Diana's story had me anxious, curious, excited and extremely emotional. The feelings Wyatt exhibited throughout the book made me love him as if he were a real person. I wanted to hug him and reassure him, yet he never seemed even the least bit weak. And Diana, she had to be one of the strongest women you could ever meet because she trusted her own feelings against everyone telling her she shouldn't. That's a very difficult thing to do. This was an amazing story...thank you for writing such a great book Faleena!!
From the very first few pages of this book you could tell it was going to amazing. This book is full of big moments. As I read this book I laughed, giggles and smiled for most of the story.
This story is told from two viewpoints but is the story of three characters. From the moment you begin this story you are pulled into a world where friendship and laughter are at the forefront.
It also gives you a view of love at first sight and how finding the right person can change you at your core. Diana did that for Wyatt without even trying.
This book is my second favorite in the Cocker series after Cocky Senator. Wonderful job telling two stories that blended effortlessly. They intertwined to bring us to a life changing point in the final stories of the cocker family.
How can you not love a book wrote by Faleena Hopkins? I really don't think that it's possible. Being the amazing writer that she is you will fall in love with this family, if you didn't already. And this book, this wonderful love story will make you definetily want to read about all the family. This book, in my opinion it's about family, love, communication and respect more than the others. When you read this you will understand and love more and more the concept of family, because no matter if it's a good one or not, family it's the foundation of who we are, but each one of us choose how we want to be and how to live our lives. Amazing love story that gives you hope, love, confidence and trust. Thank you Faleena Hopkins!
If you love this family, then this is one book in the series that you absolutely cannot miss.
Wyatt is the cocky cop in the Cocker family. Every woman in Atlanta loves him. He even has a blog that features pictures of him I all aspects of his police work. He’s a big fan of spreading the love around and never sees himself getting married or even serious with just one woman.
Diana is a sweet woman with multiple ties to the Cocker family both direct and indirect. When she is hit by Wyatt’s partner while he’s driving through a horrible southern storm, she doesn’t realize that a bruised leg is going to be the least of her worries. Will this cocky cop bruise her heart also?
I’m not sure how the author keeps coming up with new plots for the Cocker family, but I so glad that she does.
This story is about family, trusting your heart and finding-your-once-in-a-lifetime-love. A page-turner read that makes you smile, laugh and stirs up emotions.
Wyatt's colorful persona and good looks have women fawning for his attention. He takes pride in being a good cop. Diana is an intelligent feisty woman. The witty banter between them rocks.
Incredible read with fantastic scene descriptions, praise-worthy characters, and sizzling romance. I loved Wyatt and Diana together; a perfect match. The family element in this series always touches my soul.
As soon as i saw that this book had been released i rushed to buy it, I could not devour it fast enough ! Speaking of devouring...This book again is one of the most Sexy,Hottest,Spine tingling Romance books i have ever read. The sparks between Wyatt and Diana has you on your seat waiting to see what happens next..She is so sweet and adorable then i find her a little vixenish (if that's a word) Diana The back and forwards banter is so funny at times. I truly feel like they are part of my family...If my family were are gorgeous of course..Faleena Hopkins again brings home another awesome book and i have great delight in saying that i will be starting it again tomorrow and reading it slower to pick up all that i missed.
I received this book as a gift from the author, I highly recommend getting on her email list for all sorts of exciting stuff, including bonus stories. That said, I've been a fan since before this series, and although Ive read all 23 books, this one was quite superior. I am NOT a fan of regurgitating story line, isn't that the author's job to tell the story, after all? .....or spoilers, so just do yourself a favor and try this book, its even on sale. She has hit on a wonderful concept, with such a large, solid, entwined family, especially in todays world where family is so lacking, and each of the books is stand alone, but you might want to start at book one ;-)
I have so much love for the Cocker family. Wyatt and Dianas story was great. I was happy to see how the more normal and not as famous side was. I have read every single book in this series more than once and its worth it. SPOILER ALERT: Man I have been through so many emotions with this family. I have never cried like I cried today for Grams. I was not prepared for that and still wish it didn't happen. We have so many more Cockers to go through. Now who is going to approve the girlfriends and boyfriend's? Who is going to yell out "Language!!!" When someone curses? It just won't be the same.
I have loved this series since the beginning. The characters are always well written with great depth and they are always relatable. This series is so well written it doesn't just draw you in, you feel like part of the characters lives. Wyatt 's story was emotional and nostalgic. Moving forward through tragedy and doubt seemed to be an underlying theme, and was delivered in a way that many today lack, with practicality and understanding. This is definitely one of my favorite storylines from this series.
Wow. If you have been waiting for the next Cocker Family book, then your time is here. Non-spoiler warning though - if you are a fan of the family and have been reading for a while, you are in for some surprises, a little heartache, but a lot of that famous Cocker boys smirk that have us all fanning ourselves. Love that Faleena Hopkins has brought us so deep into this family that we hurt and celebrate with them. A 5-Star read, but you will need tissues and this one might leave you with a book hangover.
If you are a Cocker Brothers reader this is a MUST read, if not it will get you hooked on the series. I couldn't put this down, even when I had tears in my eyes. Faleena Hopkins has a way of writing that draws you in, you feel like you "know" the people you are reading about. Just when you think you know what is happening - boom - she throws in a curve ball to keep you guessing. Wyatt's story is not what you think it is going to be, it is so much better. Thank-you Faleena Hopkins for another great story and once again you have me waiting in anticipation for the next story.
This book...... I have read all of the Cocky books and have loved each one. You would think it would be repetitive reading, so many books on the same family members, but no! Each member is an individual with so many differences but so much alike. It’s a true family. This book brought me to tears. And the ending.....oh the ending...... This is a must read for other Cocker fans! Get your tissues ready.
Yet another wonderful story. Wyatt and Diana's love story definitely had me along on the rollercoaster with them. I laughed, I cried (So much crying!) and just fell in love with another Cocker. Wyatt, while being that other level of unattainable, was so real... his insecurities hidden by that trademark Cocker swagger was just so relatable. Loved Diana and her wonderful sass. Best to keep Wy on his toes! Definitely worth a read. Faleena, thank you again for another beautiful book.
This book was AWESOME,and FANTASTIC. This book is a MUST READ. I Love this book. This book was so Awesome and Fantastic I read it twice, back to back. I never done that before, and I read thousands of book. Faleena Hopkins you out done yourself. This book is very emotional. I laugh a lot, I had to CRY., And laugh again. The ending was Superb to me, It was so romantic. You GOT to READ THIS Book. This book is my favorite so far of all the grandkids. Can't wait to read more of them. You got to read this book, and it you not a Fan, you will definitely become one. I Love this series.
Wyatt is such a manwhore even his family doubts his ability to commit to one woman. His new chief hates him and wants him off the force. Diana has no backstory besides a pathetic ex, but this story has more of her voice than Wyatt. A few more chapters from his POV, especially after Diana dropped her bombshell, would have made it feel like it was more his story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Faleena Hopkins has done it again, another 5 star Cocker Brother's Family story. I have enjoyed every book in this series and I have to say that I have never been disappointed. What is great about this series is that even though this story is about Wyatt and Diana we also get to once again visit the other Cocker Family members. This was a beautifully crafted and emotional story. I highly recommend this book.
Omg. There is to many words for this book .it was a outstanding story .fantastic .you get to see all the family .Wyatt is to die for just love his cheeky smile and as your reading about his cocky grin you just imagine it .loved Diane .catering and loving .this one give you so many feels .you don't want to put it down once it is in your hand .Thank you faleena for an oustanding .fantastic amazing story .
This is the most heartbreaking story told so far. It touches everyone in the Cocker Family. Wyatt and Diana found each other in a way that gives them time to learn about each other and themselves before they committed to their future. You will not be disappointed.
I dont know how Faleena does it but each new book becomes the best book ever! This book... this book messed me up. There is a scene where Wyatt "wakes up" a teenager. My father is a retired police officer and that speech was like seeing his words written down. It was truth and more youth need to hear it. As far as the rest off the book... I WANT TO BE A COCKER!!!! I love this family and the fact that they arent afraid to express their emotions.
