Billie and Vero are getting married and the gang’s all here, even the only two members left of the Singles Girl’s Club, Isla and Freya.
When the wedding planner mixes up reservations for the wedding, party girl Isla and jaded artist Freya find that they’re either sharing the very last room available or one of them is sleeping out on the beach. There’s just one teeny-tiny problem — the room has one bed. But they’re mature adult friends who can handle a sleepover. Right?
What happens when love is in the air and suddenly, kissing one of your closest friends seems like the world’s best idea?
Get your sandals out for a beachy friends-to-lovers novella with one last sweet ending to The Shrikes' love stories.
Bryce grew up in the mountains of Colorado with a taste for adventure and a head full of clouds. She never grew out of either. She lives in Denver with her partner, two adorable rescue dogs, and a very opinionated cat.
This is the novella that marks the end of the Kaleidoscope series. The first couple, Billie and Vero are getting married on a private island and romance blossoms between the only two singles in the group - Isla and Freya. The story is short, of course, but the sexual tension between Isla and Freya is definitely there. Such a well written novella to end a wonderful series.
I read the first four book months ago, so I was very confused with the mention of so many people (4 couple, 8 MC at some point).
This was a sweet, short and a bit angsty but nothing that will make you think twice. Isla and Freya were clueless and that made everything more adorable.
At the very end you get a bonus story for Domino and Sabrina.
A Island Wedding, two friends who see through the hearts desire.
Oh want a gentle ending for the Kaleidoscope women. A beautiful wedding for Billie and Vero but new beginnings for everyone. Isla brought a fresh spirit to this group and when Freya open her heart they have a island love affair. Taking it back to the mainland was difficult but art always brings people together. My heart hurts to see the end of these loveable characters but it has been a deliriously fun journey to read. Thanks Bryce Oakley for such a fun series.
Being forced to share a room, especially while attending a marriage, is such a popular setting in Lesfic that it is well on its way to become a trope by itself. This setting is used with varying degrees of success. This book is one of the successes.
It's been a while since I read the Kaleidoscope series, and I didn't quite remember how it all went. I missed some background information about Freya and Isla. Because the book was so short, I didn't really get to know them. As a result, I didn't really get into the story. It might be more fun if you read it immediately after the rest of the series though.
Lesson learned for me, I guess: Don’t read a series is super quick succession. It never goes well.
I wish this book would have been an extended epilogue rather than an additional love story with characters who aren’t even part of the band. It was also too short.
Okay, so I didn’t hate this book and I didn’t hate the series, but after the first book, the quality really starts to go down. Really disappointing. But it was fast and entertaining and sometimes that’s important.
Again, I’m gonna rate this a very generous 2 stars.
3.5/5 THE POTENTIAL This book could have been my favourite in the series if it wasn't so short.but even with this it was soo good. Isla and Freya were one of the funniest characters in the series. Both deserved finding happiness, and i was so glad that they could find it in eachother. I was so happy seeing all the couples in one place that i kinda felt empty after reading it and remember that it's done. I'm sucker for friends-lovers and they succeed
Revel is a delightful and satisfying end to the The Kaleidoscope Album series. It brings a light, sweet “friends-to-lovers” story for two of the series’ most beloved characters, wrapped up in a fun wedding/weekend-getaway setting. The chemistry between Isla and Freya is warm and believable. Because it’s a novella, the story is shorter than a full-length novel, so some elements feel a little rushed; but for what it is, Revel delivers a cozy, satisfying conclusion and leaves you rooting for everyone’s happy endings. A lovely, breezy wrap-up that will make you smile.
This being the final book in this series and what a blast it was. This was a story about fear, apprehensive , anger, and more. Bryce Oakley did a brilliant job writing this series and looking forward to reading more by her. Recommend Yes 5" ***** stars.
Bryce Oakley masterfully wove each book in the Kaleidoscope album to romantic perfection. Not one beat felt off. I laughed and cried, and wondered when I could hear The Shrikes's album or peep on their Instagrams. I love that a cool group of friends could find the loves they did. I highly recommend meeting the band.
I loved this series and was sad to get to the last book. I hoped Isla and Freya would get their own books but it fits that the original books were centred on the bandmates.
This was a cute novella, which totally could've been a full book! (Just sayin!)
I look forward to reading more of Bryce's stories.
Hey room mistake and love blooms. Two single girls found them so I’m sharing a room and then sharing feelings and love. This is a very beautiful book and a very unusual love story. I love the book and I highly recommend it.
This book is nicely written. The romantic island wedding, the warm circle of friends, the attraction between the woman made me want to read it in one sitting. It was a sweet romance which I recommend to bring a smile to your face
I enjoyed this story. The stories surrounding the Shrikes women have been entertaining and hot! I've read all parts of the series and thoroughly enjoyed Every one!
Freya and Isla get together on their friends wedding because their cabin only had one king size bed and a couch too small. So the ladies got acquainted.
I needed something fun and a little spicy after reading Atmosphere, and this delivered. And I will be reading the whole Kaleidoscope Album series, since I didn't even know it existed.
I'm sad that this was so so sweet and way too short for how adorable it was. I actually just thought it would be about the wedding, but at the same time it was tying up loose ends with the remaining single characters. I really don't mind because those two are adorable together.
