Lucas Daniels must be protected!
Lucas Daniel starts his job at Club Dyavol, but, immediately, he wonders what he’s gotten himself into. Though the patrons are wealthy, glamorous and remind him of nobles from an earlier age, Lucas senses that they are dangerous as well. Yet he still feels safe within Dyavol’s walls, because of Count Konstantin “the Wolf” Volk’s watchful eye on him through the club’s many cameras.
Count Konstantin “the Wolf” Volk believes that Lucas’ blood can cure his curse, and Lucas’ companionship could ease his isolation. But he needs to keep the young man secret, because drinking the blood of a witch could start a war between vampires and witches once more. Yet when the leader of the Vampire Council arrives at Dyavol’s doors on Lucas’ first night of work, Konstantin must let him in, and somehow keep Lucas’ true identity hidden.
Whilst I'm loving the world/character building and how the minimal - but just enough - flashbacks are done I'm starting to get a bit twitchy for the romance to start happening.
While all of the events center mostly in and around the club Dyavol, the author creates an alluring ambience and gives the vampires a certain mysterious vibe. Vampire House squabbles and inter species politics bring intrigue, lies and betrayal to Konstantin's door. Still not fully recovered, he is put on the spot. But Konstantin, despite being a creature of the night, is a man of honor of old. I enjoyed his story. It was deeply moving how he came to be a vampire and what his Sire the Nomad really means to him.
Lucas despite his feisty attitude is still a lamb in a wolf's den. I like that he stands his ground even when it's futile. Both men are well suited for each other. I wonder how it will play out between Lucas and Konstantin because there is definite attraction. Right now, everything is uncertain and new. Both of them have doubts, even Konstantin. This is a short told from dual POV with no steam but plenty of tension and vampire theatrics. The plot thickened substantially. Consider me intrigued.
This one got so much more interesting! Konstantin's backstory about how he became a vampire. A bigger plot being started. A touch of development in the romance. Complex, fascinating relationships among Konstantin, Marius, and Arsene. Marius on his knees, sucking blood from Arsene's thumb. *fans self* (That was hotter than the actual sex scene in the previous book. It was so good.) A twist being hinted at that ought to make things even more complex and interesting. I especially loved learning about those relationships. Familial, but also decidedly not familial in some ways. Conflicting feelings of care and devotion but also jealousy, anger, and pain. Anyway, the pace is still slow, but the story is definitely getting more intricate and interesting.

This might have been a lovely series but each book is far too short. Ridiculously short. I didn’t realize this was a serial story until I delved into it. It’s pretty much driving me crazy. I’m done.
The Vampire's club me pegou de jeito!!! Estou fascinada pelo universo vamp muito bem construído de X aratare! Como fã de histórias vampiresca, TVC está me agradando muito. Os personagens são super interessantes, ansiosa para os próximos acontecimentos... Indo para o book 4
We finally meet the Nomad, Konstantin’s creator. He’s a powerful vampire who happens to believe in magic. We see Konstantin’s past and how he got the curse he’s currently living by.
Lucas is ‘working’ on the club but one question remains: why is he so different from the rest? From the very first moment he stepped on the club, he had a different vibe. Now Marius and what I’d like to believe is his master tease both Konstantin and Lucas due to their particular relationship. Is the Wolf going to change his little pet or is it just the sex drive that’s making them both ache with desire? Why does Lucas’ blood can cure the pain Konstantin feels?
You can say I’m fully invested in the story, though I still believe that we could have had a whole volume instead of 3 different, small books –but that’s just based on my taste.
The romance is like the SLOWEST thing in the world but I found myself interested in Volk so I’m happy to tell you I’ll be continuing with the series as soon as I can.
Take a shot everytime someone raises their right eyebrow, if you want to get alcohol poisoning. Being a vampire must give you incredible control of facial muscles.
Nothing too exciting about this series, but it's enjoyable so I might continue. Maybe it'll get more fun when the romance progresses.
Still enjoying this one, though I'm getting to the point where I want out MCs to actually... spend more time together? Kiss? IDK, it's all so in their heads right now and a bit flirty but I want ACTION
I liked this better than the second installment because it was longer and gives us a lot more story.
Not only we get to know the characters better, we also discover Konstantin's past, the Nomad makes an appearance (and what appearance!!), Xavier starts looking shabby and we have a complot brewing!!
This promises to keep getting better, and I can't wait to devour the next one!
I really wish that these novelas were put into a whole book, so that I didn't have to stop and put a review for each one 😉. But, Thanks again X, I'm truly enjoying this story and will keep reading more 🤓.
I was very upset when I listened to book one, only to find out I’d have to buy and listen to 7 books to hear a conclusion. 7x$18 for one story. However, the story is very good and they are well written The fact that the narrator was the BEST I ever listened to: Ethan Holtan, I settled in and enjoyed every moment. His ability to create different voices and so many accents was pure pleasure. I’ve listened to many, many bad narrators. So, after finishing Book 5 I was worried that I only had two books left.
Then I started Book 6. A new narrator????? What the actual what???? He can’t even pronounce the Club’s name. And he can’t do the accents. I feel like I’ve lost Konstantine forever. And when he plays Lukas, I hear Woody Allen!!!! Omfg! Is that ever a turn off.
Why would they do that? I committed time and money based on the first narrator. All my excitement over the series is gone. Yeah, Book 6 was good, and I have to listen to one more story to get to the conclusion. Big deal.
Now, to take a story and force readers to buy all the books just to hear one story seems greedy to me. I had to wrestle with my thoughts about spending on a 5 hour audiobook the same amount as I would usually pay for a 10+ hour audiobook. So changing narrators is saying to me that the producer/author only wants the money and doesn’t care about the listener, knowing that after 5 books the listener is hooked.
I won’t read anymore series.

I have been totally invested since book 1 as I try to solve things throughout these books and this series. I’m so ready to know how it ends. Book 3 gives us more insight into Konstantin’s past life with his parents and also how he was turned. It also gives you more insight of what a brat Marius is, who btw is not one of the MCs. His obsession with Lucas is almost off the charts but Arsene his Sire is up to something. Is he trying to weasel his way into taking what is not his from Konstantin? Will Arsene trying to get his revenge on Konstantin? Is Konstantin going to trust it and betray his own Sire? Or will Konstantin be loyal to the one who gave him his second life?
And who is this lady who keeps showing up without announcing who she is? Is she a human? Vampire? Or maybe a witch? I know some of these answers from books 1-3. But they’re some answers I do not. Oh and I adore Lizzy. 5 stars ⭐️ for keeping me invested 💜❤️
I really like that we got to know more about the past of Konstantin. We also got introduced to more characters which definitely are interesting.
Then we get told about how Liz has been changed and it broke my heart this girl/woman had to go through a lot and to live with that forever… I don’t even want to think about it. I hope she will get some kind of happy ending in the end.
Overall the story had been good, it had some slow moments but that was ok. That end made, once again, made me curious for what’s coming next.
Also I so much hope that there will finally something be happening with Konstantin and Lucas. These two are gorgeous together and I want much more of them.
Vampires and witches and magic! Sweet, spicy, bit of drama, bit of angst, a lovely light read. There are 7 small installments to this novel, each ending with a cliffhanger but the story is complete, so you can roll right on to the next one. The pacing is so good on these books, I reached the end of each too quickly and I’m always left wanting more. That’s the sign of a great book.
Each book is easily a 4-5 with the overall series at 5 stars. Character development was great, romance was insta-love done really well, bad guys were well developed, some light twists, too. Overall a super series that I think of fondly even weeks after reading it.
Totally love the build up! So much mystery but I’m liking the Nomad a bit more and more. Sad that our Konstantine had to go through all that! The plot thickens looks like vampires want a revolt! I love the connection they are developing, it’s been a while Konstantine hasn’t had a connection due to that curse! I’m hoping Lucas will be that cure, im curious about that lady that appeared out of nowhere!? I think I know she is! Totally loving this series! So engaging! Thank you author for your hardwork! ❤️❤️
