Her love for literature was also strong because of her father John, who used to write crime-stories. While she tried following on her father's footsteps, a trip to Scotland sealed the deal, as she fell in love with the Celtic myths and the bleak Highlands.

ONE ACTION PACKED BLOCK BUSTER!!!
Holy hellion! Kenna dropped the bomb, lowered the boom, blasting me out of the water and blowing my mind with this thrilling bad boy, switching gears and revving up the adrenaline rocking this baby to the core, fusing this baby together seamlessly. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, rolling with the drama, intrigue, turmoil, danger, spiraling suspense and nailbiting situations, along with a boatload of doubt, you have one intoxicating experience. One blazing action packed, hard hitting, heart pounding, pulse racing, page flipping, block busting bombshell, displaying such a compelling spin, delivering one thrilling storyline and gripping plot, bursting it into a frenzy with a life-altering culmination. A tumultuous whirlwind of unsettling mishaps and surprising happenstance, showcase the harrowing trials and challenging tribulations, stumbling through the crazy twists and wicked turns, testing them in ways they never saw coming. The characters, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely approachable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Awesome job Kenna, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

What an exciting book. It covers murder, lasciviousness, gilded cages, an arranged marriage, escape, soulmates, thievery, threats, blackmail, kidnapping, skirmishes, rescues, the revitalization of a clan on the brink of collapse, the spiritual revival of the Laird after four years of despondency and good old fashion attraction, lust and romance. There was also was an extra special element of surprise thrown in: Definition of extrasensory perception
: perception (as in telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition) that involves awareness of information about events external to the self not gained through the senses and not deducible from previous experience — called also ESP. Interesting yes? This is an excellent read. A little bit of everything for everyone. I also enjoyed the extended epilogue which will hopefully lead to the next book. Can't wait. A must read. You will not be disappointed.

After the death of her father Lady Julia was now being raised by her Uncle Andrew. Little did she know the evil secrets he kept hidden.
Julia was on the tun escaping her uncle and her betrothed. A man twice her age.
Calum, laird of Clan MacLeod carried a heavy heart for four years after his wife's betrayal. His clan was barely surviving as winter approached. He had to step up and be a leader putting his grief aside. His brother Angus has been carrying Calum's weight too long.
While searching for meat for the winter Angus and his men found a nearly frozen English lass in the woods. If his instincts are right then his brother and his clan might survive the upcoming winter.
When money, lies and lust gets in the way lives of the clan are being threatened by Uncle Andrew and the General.
Loved the characters.

Gripping and Suspenseful! I thoroughly enjoy when a book grabs you right from the start and takes you on a heart-stopping journey as in Temptation in the Highlands. Kenna Kendrick has written a action-packed story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, danger and violence. With tension-building twists, amazing character chemistry that is believable and easy to relate to, from the first page and throughout I was totally captivated. Each and every character came to life and you find yourself drawn into their story. It's a romance that was beautifully written, filled with passion, danger, murder and secrets as Julia and Calum find themselves swirling down into a vortex of obsession and mayham! I am looking forward to Angus and Charlotte's story in Mending a Highland Heart.

The beauty and the highlander.

Callum MacClaen is heartbroken and unable to come out is his sorrow for the past 4 years putting his clan at risk of starvation and attack. When his brother Angus brings home an English lass he finds in the woods, Callum is initially resistant to her, but that soon changes. Julia is escaping from a forced marriage to a man twice her age and an odd relationship with her uncle. She is rescued by a highlander who takes her home to the Isle of Mull. She feels safe there and finds that she can be helpful. Plus there is the added benefit of the handsome laird. Their journey to love is not an easy one but quite interesting and exciting. Betrayal, battles, kidnapping, lust, mistrust, deception and love all play a part in this love story.

Julia Bradford was raised as an English Lady by her Father. He died
Suddenly when she was twelve. Her care was in trusted to her Uncle Andrew. He was a Shady, seedy, controlling man.
Calum MaClean was the Laird on the Isle of Mull. His wife him for someone else and then died. He had not gotten over it for four years . Angus his Brother was trying to hold the Clan together.
Julia and Calum both dreamt about each other before they met. Each believing that they were the person to rescue each other.
Their story is one about trust and letting go and believing. A Beautiful Tale and Enjoyable Read. Highly Recommend.

You can not go wrong stepping into this time with this author doing giving the ability to get there through the pages. The Highlanders she puts forth are slobber worthy for sure. Juila gives us her woes and she thinks escape is the answer to these. What finds her though is Calum and then the magic begins. Romance is woven along with their story. As it gets deeper though those lovely secrets people seem to find they must comes along to slowly come to light with also a way that has to be figured out on if the love of two is to come out on top. The unraveling of this gets us going. We follow the words and are given our fill to satisfy that craving for a moment.

Nice Scottish Romance

Temptation in the Highlands by Kenna Kendrick is about Julia who escapes from her uncle to find herself on a Scottish island with a sexy clan leader. You will like this book if you like highland romance with happy endings, or like any of Kenna Kendrick’s other books. My favorite character in this book was Angus. He is a happy, friendly man who loves his brother and wants him to be happy. I loved that the women in this book were strong and intelligent. This is a good book to curl up with and read when you have a bit of free time.

These books need an editor!

Wrong words, wrong punctuation (Why are commas so difficult for people who believe they're wordsmiths?!), and inexplicable random letters added here and there.

The story wasn't bad but I have to ask why the clan has done little to no farming for four years, was already starving at the beginning of winter after heading out hunting repeatedly to prepare for winter... and never once even mentioned the concept of FISHING, given they're on a fucking island and probably surrounded by bloody fish and mussels. Totally illogical.

Temptation in the Highlands

This was great story. I do like Scotland highland stories. The castles and the life there seems really hard. Julia was being taken to Scotland to marry a British general friend fo her uncle Andrew. She did not want to marry a man as old as her uncle and she felt something strange was going on. They met some robbers on the road, which stopped them. Julia took this chance to escape her uncle and he ran into the woods. Well, Angus MaLean found her before she froze to death and rescues her. Very interesting, you will enjoy this.

TEMPTATION in the highlands.

I just loved this book, it was one of your best Kenna.
I had to read this book from beginning to end, it was a late night. It was so very good.

The scenes has been painted, the were setting are in place.
The characters have been described
in detail with strong personalities, and emotions that develop, through the book.
It was very easy to feel a part of this book as it unfolded on paper, for the pleasure of the reader. 📖💜

Julia and Callum, where attracted and intoxicated with attraction for each other.
This truly was an excellent read

Kenna has woven a tale of control, lust, greed, evil, murder, betrayal and manipulation on the one hand, and love, desire, spiritual connection, family loyalty and a cheeky brother on the other. This story keeps you on your toes until the last page and links two other stories in this family saga. Read this one first, then Charlotte and Angus' story before you continue with Liam.
I am hoping there will be other stories about Clan McLean as each one fills the previous book's gaps and rounds out what has gone before. I gave it 4 stars as this page doesn't allow 4 1/2 stars.

This story was lovely!

Julia certainly has not had an easy life. Nor has Calum. Thank goodness for Julia's bravery; and thank goodness for Angus finding Julia in the woods and bringing her home!

Lot's of magic happening in this book. For the characters, and for the reader!

I am about 70% done, and I think we're coming to a scary part!!!

Can't wait to finish, and have loved every moment!

I love the tragic Calum character, but Angus is a dear!

Loved this book!

Andrew was such a...

I have read about dastardly men before but Andrew is certainly on of the top! He set in motion a lot of things and have been doing so for years. The story is an absolute adventure that you won’t necessarily know who’s ally or foe until you read through it all. It was a marvelous read!

An orphan since she was 12 year old, forced to live with an uncle she doesn't like or trust. Now he wants to marry her to his friend. None of the men in London will do. A Scottish laird grieving a wife for past 4 years, is not doing well at caring for his clan. What will happen when these two meet? Did I mention he hates the English? a page turner with a little whimsy thrown in.

Holy wow man!!! If you need an exciting book to read, this is the one.
There is a ton of adventure in this book and then some.
Julia born in England and raised as a Lady never knew what lied behind the walls she lived in.
Callum never knew he could love again. He is hurting badly and Julia is the cure.
Can't wait for the next book in this series. At least I hope there is another.

Temptation in the Highlands

Julia’s father passed away and her uncle took over. He wants to marry her off to an old man. Julia took off and found the man of her dreams. Laird Callum had also dreamed of her. They married but uncle took her back. Julia found that uncle had killed her father. Kenna Kendrick is great with this book. To find how it ends you must read it.

what a great story. I have been in a slump and I do believe this book got me out of it. It was hard to put down. Romance, adventure and murder all in one action packed story. Who would had thought that a young lady would have that much gumption to jump ship so to speak. She runs from her uncle only to find a gentle Scot awaken her and take her to their Island. She feels safe, but confused by the Laird's attitude. Read this story to find how her adventure takes her to learn the truth about her father's death and more.
I gave this book 5 stars.

Enjoyed Calum and Julia’s story. He was a broken tortured Laird, she needed to escape her horrid uncle. Liked how his brother took advantage of a situation to heal Calum.
