THE NUMBER #1 BESTSELLER AS FEATURED ON THIS MORNING AND IN THE DAILY STAR, THE MIRROR AND PICK ME UP MAGAZINE!Ann has spent a lifetime reading safe, charming romantic novels leading to a series of dull, unexciting relationships where the sex has been uninspiring and her needs and desires have come second place to a quick shag and a pint of Guinness. After experiencing an awakening she decides things have to change and she embarks on an erotic adventure. Join her in her quest for sexual liberation as she unleashes the passion within her and goes on a journey to find her very own Mr Uninhibited. You’ll be rooting for Ann as her desire to emulate the erotica she has read develops into a comedy of erotic errors. From hair remover cream to handcuffs, nothing turns out as she hopes and she soon begins to realise that not everything or everyone is as they seem. Ann appears to be on an never ending learning curve but will she actually learn anything or is she destined for erotic mediocrity.
Honestly I had high hopes for the series. It could have all been put into one book instead of this "series". That annoyed me quite a bit. About the last half of each book will be the first chapter of every book or series the author wrote. That doesn't seem necessary. You just need a blurb or part of a chapter and the title with maybe the cover. I know I'm from the US but some of the grammar infuriated me, even taking into the consideration of where they are from, some things didn't fit. Also the author goes on in the first book as Ann with out an "e" then on the "last" page of the first book in the series it's all misspelled as Anne. Another tidbit that really bugged me is that Ann was all about erotic books. But, she never read anything with with swingers or any kind of weird fetishes in it? Just seems like Ann should have researched more saying that she loved erotica so much. I was exited and hopeful it would get better but it didn't. The disaster dates were humorous, but the naivety of the character ruined it for me. I put this as my review for all the books and not just one to save the time in my part.
This book was thoroughly enjoyable. I personally relate to the main character on many levels (minus the hot wax and allergy references!). This is a truthful look at dating in the modern age; and what we have to do to navigate the world of dating apps and men in general. You meet a handful of different men and their circumstances, and the laugh out loud disasters that Ann orchestrates herself. She is cock-blocking herself in her eagerness to rid herself of the stilted sex life she has found herself. If you want an honest depiction of dating in this century, give this book a read!
If this book had been edited properly I’d have given it 5 stars! The story is laugh out loud funny, think Bridget Jones meets 50 shades! I loved the story and comedy especially the A&E bits! I could do without the last half of the book promoting other books, I’d rather just have a teaser for the second in the series. Just wish that a professional editor had glanced over this before publishing as it’s such a shame - spelling errors & formatting problems which bring the reader out of the story at times. I will buy another from the series - just for the laughs. I’m hoping with the second book the author might have learned to get a proof reader and edited it better though!
What can I say ... this is one of the funniest books I've ever read from the first page to the last it had me in fits of giggles sitting on my own in the house my neighbours probably think I've lost the plot I laughed that loud .. who knew it would be so relatable if you have ever been on a dating site you will know it's no exaggeration I literally ran home from work to finish it ... and then it ended ... I just wasn't ready for that I need more !!!!
Unrefined and unapologetic ... it’s a fun read. The cover and title of this book are a pretty good indication of what you can expect. Wax, whips and hairy bits all play their part in a series of mishaps as Ann attempts to realise the erotic encounters of her dreams. While the repeat visits to A&E are a tad predictable, and the humour coarse and unsubtle (and indeed to my taste!) ... if you’re looking for 100 pages of naughty fun, this is a pretty good place to start.
In a world of online dating we have all racked up a few disasters. This sexual awakening of a young woman is not only entertaining but a guide of what not to do. We all have insecurities, however perceive other confidence as lack of. Would highly recommend this book.
The whole book from start to finish was funny insightful and truer to a woman’s heart than some of us might not dare to admit. Can’t wait to read the next book which I’ve downloaded
It had funny moments but overall it was half a book. I thought it was strange to have a round up at 60% but that was the end. Included was the first chapter of the next book and many more intros for other books. I won't be reading the rest of the series.
Enjoyed this book, it was funny in places, but was put off, by the fact that half the book was the story and the other half of it was books the author, wants you to buy. I paid for this to be a full book not too see adverts of other books to buy, didn't read them bits so they were wasted on me
I have not laughed like this in a long time. Hubby was even asking for updates on the antics and said he could see this book about me, cheeky! Loved the first book can’t wait to read the next instalment
Very funny and good to read about the funny things that go wrong in the dating world! I did laugh out loud a few times which is great. If anything I was sad it was so short! I’ve bought the follow up now to read
Loud out loud Funny, but didnt understand why such a lengthy round-up, or even a round-up at all was needed for such a short book, a book which is actually just over half of the stated length as the rest of the pages was about the author's other books... a few pages, sure... but 32% of the book?
Absolutely hilarious. I've recommended your books to quite a few of my friends. I heard your call on this morning and was I intrigued. So glad I brought the books
Yes there were a few errors but nothing too bad that put me off reading and laughing out loud. A hilarious quick read on my kindle and I'll happily be reading the rest of the books in the series!
