"A Heavy Duty to Carry Out" is a historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
I received a free copy of this book from another author, and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is the first book by this author,Grace Clemens, that I have read and it won't be my last. I was drawn into the story immediately and it held my interest until the end. It is a beautiful love story of Amy and Thomas, the twin brother of Alfred, who Amy was supposed to marry due to an arrangement by both sets of parents. I was on the edge of my seat wondering who would eventually get married to Amy. Thank goodness this book has a HEA ending and the extended epilogue was the perfect addition to the book. I highly recommend this book, and I will be reading more books by this author.

Best Friends Meet Brothers-What a Delightful Love Story
Amy's family was moving across the country. Her father planned to take over a ministry from a retiring pastor. He had also made arrangements for Amy to marry a man, Alfred, who was to become a pastor in the town. Amy offered to help the teacher in the one room schoolhouse and noticed a berry patch maze near the school. After leaving school for the day, Amy decided to walk back to the maze and look around. She met a man, Thomas, coming out of the maze, and he offered to show Amy around the maze They enjoyed each other's company. Amy and Thomas felt an attraction for one another and went on walks together over the next few days.
Alfred returned from his trip and Amy was invited to his parent's home to meet him. When she arrived at the home, she was surprised to learn that Alfred and Thomas were identical twins. Thomas stepped aside so Amy and Alfred could get to know one another. Then, Amy's friend, Grace, from her former hometown came to visit and went to the brothers home where they lived with their parents.
Will Amy be able to get Grace and Alfred to become a couple so that she and Thomas can be together. Will either couple marry? You will need to read this delightful novel to learn the outcome! Enjoy the read. I surely did.

Trapped by family responsibilities. Just one word outstanding each book I read by Ms. Clemens just gets better and better. This one is about Amy and Thomas. Both of the characters are trapped by family responsibilities and expectation but their feelings for each other cannot be denied. The tale is about their struggle between doing what their heart wants or to sacrifice all for their families. This a beautifully written piece and my heart went out to these characters. I am happy to recommend this book.

A very good inspirational story about a young woman that accidentally meets a young man named Thomas and is attracted to him and he her until they meet at his home and it is learned she is betrothed to his twin brother .This is a hard duty to do This is a plot that is good and the characters are realistic This is a inspiring story
The author has given us an amazing story which keeps her readers on the edge. Is the father right in pressuring his daughter to marry someone she had never met? Amy's troubled heart would only beat faster and her nights become more restless as time progresses. Watch for the fast moving activity as you read this story. You will fall in love with the characters. I highly recommend this story to you
It is bad enough to be promised to one man and to fall in love with another, but it is even worse when they are twin brothers. Grace Clemens manages to bring us this conundrum and to solve it with grace (pun intended). Amy, Thomas and Alfred make a sweet, potentially heartbreaking trio, luckily a fourth enters their group and makes for a good ending. This book was so much fun to read.
She is moving with her family to another state to marry a preacher. It benefits her whole family, especially her father. When she gets there she meets a rancher with money who she falls for. Problem the preacher is his brother. So she is caught in the middle. Who does she disappoint? I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I really enjoyed reading this book! The girl and boy are promised to each other and are going to be introduced in a few days! The girl's family traveled to another town for them to meet, and when they got there she meets a young man and spends some time with him, getting acquainted. I recommend this book to everyone who reads romance books!
A well written love story of Amy and Thomas eho is oddly enough the twin bother of Alfredwho Amy is supposed to be marrying. The characters are believable to the storyline. This book will keep you guessing, "Who Will She Marry?" This is a good clean historical book that will capture your interest and keep it to the end. I recommend this book.
It was hard to cheer for a person here because the main characters are all most wonderful and respectable. As individuals, they are so likable. It was very honorable and mature with how things were settled at the end.
A nice clean romance. I was wondering how they would get out of that muddle of a mess. Thankfully things worked out as they should. Would of enjoyed hearing more of their story. Felt like it cut off towards the end.
To move to another part of the state's to marry a man you have never met. To become friend's with a young man who is your betrothed brother. Not knowing and to fall completely in love with him. Read the book. It's better than good it's AWESOME!!!
A western romance. I enjoyed it so much. Amy is betrothed to Alfred., but she has fallen in love with Tom his twin brother. She is trying to figure out what to do as she does not want to hurt Alfred. It turns out Alfred has fallen in love with Cathy, Amy’s best friend.
I enjoyed reading this story. It was hard to put down, I stayed up late at night reading it. The desire of Any to honor her parents, causes her to struggle with her true feelings.
Clean sweet book. Kind of predictable. Characters are well developed. Tom co.rd across as kind of simple in the beginning. But turns out as a strong character further into the story.
Amy’s father arranges a marriage for her to Albert, Tom’s twin brother. They move from New York to Colorado and she meets Tom before she meets Albert and they quickly have a connection. It gets really interesting then.
Amy Carr moves to Montana to marry Alfred Green a preacher’s son. Amy meets Thomas who is Alfred’s twin brother they have a mutual attraction. Amy is torn between her love for Thomas and her family's commitment to marry Alfred. I really enjoyed this wonderful historical western romance novel.
Some minor flaws in the story, but it was a great adventure. Sweet love story innocent in every way, I'd recommend to any one who loves a good clean sweet story with a happy ending.
This is first book by this author for me and totally enjoyed it. Such a wholesome romance with a extended epilogue. If you enjoy western and family stories this is great. Such a sweet book
