Yowza! This was a crazy little ride through submissives, MMA fighting, assassins, and just...wow. So, first off, this was absolutely written by a man. You can just tell. No judgment, just a subtle observation from a fellow male. Athena is built like a comic-accurate Wonder Woman and she is just down to get smashed by whoever, whenever. No matter how nasty or aggressive she is treated by her sexual partners, she's completely cool with it. One has to wonder about the gag reflex here, which was talked about, but unless she's a duck, not sure how this all worked realistically. Ducks swallow things whole without chewing. You get it. So Athena is a really great character, propositioning men to brutally fight each other for a chance to have sex with her. She ends up meeting a hitman, The Master (Sho' nuff!), and they begin a torrid love affair, as she becomes more and more obsessed and aroused with violence. He treats her like a submissive and is extremely rough with her throughout, but she reasons with it all. "Ok, he pounded me until my ovaries fell out. All good. He means well." There are some legitimately hot and steamy scenes here. There are a ton of sexual situations, most of which had a place, but it did feel that certain portions of the story were rushed along to get back to the killing and sex. Athena had a very complex and fascinating story, which fell a little short of where I hoped it would go. The ending also followed suite and sort of let me wanting more from things that could have been further explored earlier in the story. But I loved the unique premise here and I just wish the naughtiness was tamed down a bit, in place of some additional layering for our lead character. Still a really good reading experience.

I knew it was unlikely any man would ever live up to my Master. He had been like a god among men. Maybe no man ever would, but perhaps a woman? I wondered if Becca would prefer I call her Master or Mistress?

This is my kind of romance!!! Oh wait. Maybe it's not so much romance in the traditional sense, but it sure was to me.
I feel like I know more about fighting than I have ever known in my life.
This story was fighting, sex, and gore galore.
Bunches of fun! Makes me want to grab a meal Lol

Fight For Me is definitely not for the squeamish or the faint of heart. Wrath James White is best known as a writer of extreme horror, and he brings those same sensibilities – and his same literary gifts – to this violent, darkly erotic blend of horror, romance, and crime fiction. The main character, the aptly named Athena, is a twisted but strong woman who gets turned on by violence. The novel starts off in the world of MMA but delves into the world of organized crime when she falls in love with a hit man who also gets turned on by violence. This is the most disturbing novel I’ve read in a long time, and I’m hoping the author will write a sequel so we can see more of Athena and her lesbian best friend Becca. I’d also love to know more of Becca’s backstory!

Wrath James White is completely in his wheelhouse with this story. There is a little bit of everything in this story that one would expect from him...and then some. I am talking about Domination/submission (My personal favorite), Wrestling-Kickboxing (WJW has experience in fighting in the MMA world), Blood 🩸, over the top brutality...all of which I loooove.

I am not the kind of person that describes the story and gives it all away - and if you want to know the bare bones about it, then read the blurb. But I must say that “Fight For Me” grabbed me right from the start and never let go.

I can’t believe that this is the first Wrath James White book that I have ever read! It most certainly won’t be my last. I have had several of his books on my Kindle without remembering it for quite some time now. I can’t wait to dig into them ASAP!!! Now do yourselves a favor and read this book!!!

In this story we follow Athena, a BUILT woman who genuinely wants something more than the usual things she’s been getting. Married and divorced she’s looking for a man who can actually dominate her, setting up an add online she’s on the hunt to find the man who can actually fight for her.

This was such a good read, Wrath himself suggested this after i read 400 days of oppression and let me tell you this did not disappoint in the slightest definitely a good read!

What we've got here is a story about a woman going on a journey of self-discovery and romance after finding the physical world counterpart to her innermost desires. But make no mistake: the whole affair is awash in loads of sweat, gore, and human misery. Let's say I don't recommend reading it to your kids before bedtime.

Wrath James White brings all the goods I've come to expect from a novel by his hand to table here. The first word that springs to mind after reading "Fight For Me" is intense. The book is short enough to finish in one sitting and combines a kick-ass story (no pun intended) with enough character depth to warrant a longer length. Wrath manages to infuse his characters with more than enough personality and then seems to distill their essence down by several pages for maximum impact.

As for minor criticism, while I appreciate the developing subplot with Becca, I cannot help but wonder if there isn't too much trust and leeway given Tyrell's character. On the other end: human, all too human.

All in all, I highly recommend the book. Great read!

Warum also ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️◾️?

Ein paar Wortwiederholungen und Faktenwiederholungen weniger hätten volle Sterne bedeutet. Gut geschrieben. Sehr spannend und schockierend. Brutal in jeglicher Hinsicht. Fast zu kurz.

A Bibliophilia Templum review
https://bibliophiliatemplum.wordpress.com/2020/03/03/fight-for-me/

Fight For Me by Wrath James White is a captivating tale of horror, romance, personal discovery, and sex. I call it a horror romance.

Why horror romance? Because some of the subject matter is brutal and the violence is graphic. Personally, I enjoy that, but some readers may find it more intense than expected. I feel it is more than a thriller, more than simply dark and erotic. It crosses genre boundaries as well as lifestyle boundaries.

I enjoyed the main character. As a woman, I found her realistic, somewhat relatable even, with self-awareness and motivations that make the premise of the story believable. In fact, all the female characters were surprisingly believable for being written by a male writer. Points for that, many points. The male characters were also well presented, well-rounded, and individual, staying just outside stereotypes. More points for that. In a story like this, that cannot have been easy to do, but Wrath does it and does it well.

Fight for Me is much more than the sum of the synopsis. The story starts strong and intriguing and escalates to intense and compelling and, ultimately, horrifying and moving. It is a graphic page-turner with elements of dark erotic romance, thriller, and horror genres. But the romance story at the heart of it is very real and very much outside mainstream romance, even mainstream dark romance. The cover art is deceptively generic at first glance, so don’t let that fool you. This ain’t your momma’s romance novel—unless I’m your momma.

Highly recommended for all fans of Wrath’s work, fans of horror and thriller novels, and any adventurous reader. I was genuinely enthralled.

This is something different than anything I've ever read from Wrath James White before. But I read it in one day during the COVID-19 Quarantine. It starts off with a woman, Athena, who wants to find a Man that could be her Alpha. Somebody that could be her Master. So she holds a No Holds Barred MMA Tournament in which the Winner gets her as a Sex Slave. This encompasses the first half of the Book and is one Hell of a ride. After the Tournament, it changes into sort of an Erotic La Femme Nikita meets Kung Fu. Ultimately, I really enjoyed the characters of Athena and Tyrell, even if it was a deviation from the Extreme Horror that I usually love from Wrath James White.

This book was pure fire. Dark, suspenseful and bloody it's not your typical erotica. I was worried that the fight descriptions would bore me or just be too much but the author was able to teach about the sport of MMA while still telling an entertaining story that gripped me from the beginning.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. 𝐓𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠.

I'm still working my way through this author's substantial backlist, and this erotic horror for sure has me back on a government watchlist.

If this were a traditional erotic romance, the MC would be embarking on a journey of self-discovery, building her self-esteem through traditional conquests and desires. But this is Wrath James White. He's created a memorable MC in Athena, an impressively built woman who is looking for someone to dominate her. The novel starts off in the world of mixed martial arts as Athena finds her first conquest at the gym where she trains. She gets the idea to set up an online ad to proposition men to fight each other for a chance to have sex with her. No matter how nasty or brutal her partner is, Athena welcomes the challenge. The story arc shifts to the world of organized crime when she falls in love with a hit man who also gets turned on by violence.

While I personally am not into the whole S&M scene, I loved the character descriptions of both Athena and her partner Tyrell. This was the perfect blend of erotica, violence, and gore. This was a backlist read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Brutal, intense, erotic, and a real page turner! The plot is creative. Athena is a bad ass fighter who enjoys seeing an Alpha male beat the crap out of other men. She makes a post on a porn site showing herself nude and asking men to come battle for a chance to fight and f#$ck her. The winner gets Athena as their sex slave. Fight For Me touches on gender roles, erotica, abuse, social differences and what it would be like to be a professional hitman who can whoop anyone's ass. Wrath's martial arts background really shines throughout. I couldn't put this one down. It was gripping from beginning to end. White is one of the best writers I have read when it comes to erotica. It's not cheesy, trite,or overdone. Fight For Me has a great ending and is well thought out and researched. Wrath is a damn good writer with great character development.

I love this book. I read it free on kindle and then promptly bought it through amazon to own on my book shelf. The strength of the main character and how she knew exactly what she wanted, no confused little girl in this book. And to see that her counterpart, the man she falls in love with, is exactly what she wanted/needed. I love him. He’s so strong, not just physically. And so smart. The ending destroyed me. I wanted them to be together forever fighting side by side. Ugh. Anyways. I’ll stop spoiling the story for everyone. 🥰

I have conflicted (hah!) feelings about Fight For Me.

I didn't much like the male protagonist/love interest. He wasn't someone I admired or found much sympathy with.

On the other hand, the theme and action and emotions are very much my interest. Fighting and killing for sex, for the right to have sex with a woman, is a primal action I really want to read more of.

So I very much like the general theme but don't like exactly how the plot developed. So I give it 4 stars.

This was WAY more erotica than extreme horror. So that was disappointing. If you’re wanting power play, sub/dom dynamics in your erotica this would pique your interest. In spite of all that I would’ve rated it higher if the erotica parts were written better. It’s the type that all the male lead has to do is look at the woman and she’s having explosive orgasms smh and the overuse of “seed” ugh

Submission is a reward

This book held my attention from the minute Athena described being choked. So many of her descriptions of the feeling of letting go of control match my own inner feelings.

Wrath does a superb job of explaining that submission isn't a gift. Everyone gets gifts, but not everybody gets a slave's submission - especially if that slave is used to being in a dominant role 95% of the time in day to day life.
