When a down on his luck horror novelist from Lexington North Carolina decides to get a fresh start in rural Florida what follows is a grizzly tale of both redemption and revenge. During his travels into the swamps and marshes of the Sunshine State, he meets the local population of townsfolk, goat farmers, law enforcement, drug dealers, strippers, and unfortunately for him, the local legend. This is a slow burn story with an explosive conclusion. Keep the lights on for this one.

Scratch is a gritty, atmospheric horror that pulls you deep into the Florida swamps with a struggling writer looking for a fresh start. The story simmers with tension—creepy locals, unsettling myths, and a slow build that eventually explodes into a violent, intense finale. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, with dark themes and graphic content, but fans of psychological horror and Southern Gothic vibes will likely find it rewarding. A chilling tale of redemption, survival, and revenge.
