It has been a long wait for the third book in this excellent series, but it was worth the wait. This book returns to the seedy and depraved world of human trafficking, particularly the world of sex slaves. Natasha was rescued by from the Scarlet club by Mason, who was police officer at the time, and now she is returning home, but just before she gets there her 12 year old sister is kidnapped by the same group that took Natasha.
Natasha doesn't take this lying down, and she tracks the man who has her sister, and calls on Mason to help her again. They track her across Europe, causing carnage at the various locations used by the traffickers. The story culminates in a climactic confrontation in Amsterdam.
It is difficult to tackle this subject realistically, but without being gratuitous and this author manages this balancing act brilliantly. I also liked the action sequences, which are believable and very exciting. The characters are all well written and their relationships are fascinating.
Although this is the third book in this series, it also works as a stand-alone, as the back story from the first two books is very cleverly woven in to this book.
This is an exciting thriller based on a depraved business and makes a truly engaging read.
I received an advance copy of this book, but have voluntarily written this honest review.

Omg I finally read the whole series 3 books later and I really didn’t want it to end. It’s now 4.24am and I’ve just finished reading this amazing jaw dropping book. I hope there’s another book to explain what happened to Mason and Natasha afterwards. Fingers crossed there’s another book soon

It has been a couple of years since the release of The Scarlet Club, but the sequel is now out and it is definitely worth the wait. Once again Natasha and Mason are fighting against the human traffickers who view the value of human life only in terms of how they can profit from it.
The characters here are not cardboard cut-outs but are three-dimensional characters who come off the page as real-life people. They have honor, courage in the face of danger, fortitude, and a willingness to do what's right even when it's difficult. The bad guys? They are hard-hearted, without conscience, and willing to do anything for profit.
Having met Natasha and Mason previously in The Taking of Natasha and The Scarlet Club, I was familiar with them and their abilities. But it was interesting to meet Katerina (Natasha's sister) and learn that courage and fortitude run in the family. I hope Mr. Mitford includes her in subsequent books because she is an amazing character, especially when one considers she is only twelve.
There is plenty of action to keep the reader engaged and almost breathless, never knowing what was coming around the next corner. But the action here is not the main character; the love of family and friends and the willingness to do whatever it takes to protect them is. Everything Mason and Natasha do is done based on that love and it comes off the pages so clearly. This is one of my favorite things about Mr. Mitford's writing. His characters become people the reader could know.
Another thing I appreciate about Mr. Mitford's writing is that even though sex trafficking is the basis of his stories there are not any graphic or explicit sex scenes. He treats that as a "setting" of his story and not the focus. I was a little concerned when I started reading the first book but I was very pleased to find that I didn't have to skip graphic parts. It was a nice change from some other books I have read.
The books in this series can be read in any order, but as with most series, they are most enjoyable read in order. If you haven't read any of them you need to correct that immediately. You are missing out.

Wonderful

I just read the three book by T. Mitford, and he has caught my attention. He had written about a subject that is really going on in this World. It's a well written book. He writes as if you don't know what is going on next door to you. We don't realize how much human trafficking is really going on today. 150 years ago it was from Africa, now it's happening in every country. It is not just for sex. Now it is happening for anyone who has money and wants cheap labor. Please always be on the lookout for anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Call the police.
The way he writes about this subject makes you feel uncomfortable (at least with me). He is going to be a good author. I will definitely be looking out for any of his books. Thank you Terence Mitford.

Gripping!

This book captured my attention and would not let me free until I finished it! It is a sobering story about sex trafficking young girls, and I could not put it down. Some things I really didn't want to know, but I think this book is a must read for everyone to become aware of the horrifying lives these girls are forced to lead. Even though it is a book of fiction, it is something that can and is happening every day. This is a truly heartbreaking book. Every person must become aware of the threat to our young people, so that parents can pay attention to what is going on in our world. If you care at all about your children it is imperative that you "get on the bandwagon" to help our children stay safe.

Innocent Girls

Yes but again, the trafficking organization took the wrong girl. Mason and Natasha finished in this book, what they started in book #2,The Scarlet Club. I pray that something like what happened in this book could happen around the world to the human traffickers. SPOILER ALERT. The bad guys getting killed and a big whole left in organization was much different then what usually happens in these books. It was well written and believable. Five 🌟for Terence Mitford.

Innocent Girls⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have just finished this the 3rd book & it was written so well though I have to say it is so shocking because it does really go on & there is organised crime everywhere,we need more people like Mason & Natasha in the world to keep fighting the evil people who make money selling & raping children& young adults.Terrence Mitford has written about a very difficult story & he has done it well ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After reading all three books! I am speechless! These books made me cry and hold my children tighter. To think that there is really people men and women that cruel to harm children and not bat an eyelash is scary! I am very happy with the ending although I know not ever ending is happy

Good reading, but...

Horrible subject. His book did hold my interest from beginning to end. Easy to read, easy to follow. Everything was laid out perfectly and I'm certainly glad it ended as I had hoped but if you look at with an intelligent eye the story does seem hard to swallow. Anyway it was a pretty decent read.

Good follow up, read it at every available minute, good storyline dealing with issues that happen in real life but is very rarely in the news, have now completed all 3 books and will wait for the next book to come along. Had never heard of Terrence Mitford until last summer when I done a search for books to read on holiday, I read the first 2 books in a couple of days and became hooked.
