But when an old rivalry gets in the way, can Carmen and the gang make a new plan before it's too late? High speeds and high stakes await in the City of Gold!
Intrepid Carmen Sandiego has gone to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; she hopes to abort the carjacking of an expensive, speedy race-car … all sorts of adventures follow … fast-paced …
In classic Carmen Sandiego fashion, Carmen attempts to put a wrench in Vile's evil plan to steal a high-tech car; in which they plan on replicating the technology. However, Carmen is not alone in her endeavor, as the twins Zach and Ivy take the centerstage for most of the story. These twin expert drivers abscond with the vehicle before Vile can intercept, only to be captured by the police. How will they escape jail, and how is Vile planning on stealing the car when it is surrounded by desert and water?
A fast-paced title that seems to match the intensity of the show. The characters' profile descriptions are well done in the beginning of the novel, making it feel like the reader is in a video game. Young readers will devour these books!
Basically an "ani-manga": still shots from the animation laid out in graphic novel format. I do like it, since 1. it's Carmen, and 2. it features the NEW Zack and Ivy (not that I didn't like the originals, but these two actually LOOK related), but it's sort of a weak substitute for the actual show.
Good in a pinch, I suppose, if you aren't particularly a fan of Netflix's practices and don't want to give them any more (subscription) money.
tv show is awesome, the rip off graphic novels are not worth it i only gave it a 2 because It didn't destroy the storyline of the episode and i can't do half stars 1.5
