This afternoon you realize while cleaning the toilet that you are a writer. You do not remember what you were in the previous life but in this life, you are sure as hell that you are a writer. You get up, chucking the task of cleaning the shit stain in the toilet bowl. You wash your hands, walk to the edge of the bed and sit down. The 3.5 x 5.6 foot crimson bed, with the pillow of the same color at the head of the bed, supports your back throughout the sultry afternoon until the next morning.
Without sleep.
You don’t sleep. Once your body is in bed, you grab your smartphone to search for information because, apart from the mysterious imagination that has risen out of nowhere as if it is the will of God (you swear that during that time you seriously believe that you are a writer), you don’t know shit about being a writer.
So this is how you start.

add a review after the drama of นักเขียนบอกว่าตัวเองตายแต่ไม่ได้ without any biases. This is the most MID AF book I've ever read. I can't understand why so many people are praising it. The experimental short stories are very cliché, and not a single one provides any meaningful insight. It's just a fun, short read.
Felt really refreshing to read this collection of playful and biting short stories, compared to whatever those other "hip" contemporary Thai writers are doing. The author has a knack for playing with focalization and tricky deceptive voices.
