Chantilly is in full Momma Bear protection mode when it seems someone is messing with the boys on her son's lacrosse team. Add in a ghostly apparition that seems to be trying to help, but won't spit out the info and you have an entertaining mystery that keeps Chantilly on the run to find out what is really going on before her or her son is the next to disappear! Excellent characters, superb interpersonal relationships between the characters and a fantastic plot all make book #4 in the series a real hit! I can't wait to see what happens next to this band of unique characters!

This is the fourth book in the paranormal cozy mystery series, Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium. I loved reading this book. I adore Chantilly and the ladies who are her tribe. They are wonderful and everyone should be so lucky to have a tribe like them. In this book, a teammate of Austin’s disappears. Chantilly becomes involved when she connects with a silent ghost. This brings about a scary and unexpected event for her. Jack and Chantilly are still apart, which breaks more hearts than just mine. Charlie is still with Thelma but there are developments there. I’ll let y’all read the book to see what all is going on.
If you are new to this series, I would strongly suggest you read it from the first book. You don’t really have to if you only want the mystery. But for full enjoyment, you really want to read the series. This series has wrapped itself around my heart. I will change my schedule to read a book in it. I set aside the time to read it. I know once I start, I won’t want to put it down. The author weaves a story that will have you turning pages, laughing one moment and crying the next just to laugh again. She writes so effectively that even a minor character, who may never be in the series again, is someone you care about. I know because a ghost appears in this one and it was quick but deep. If you are on the fence about this book/series, I don’t think you will regret giving it a try. If you already read the series, stop reading reviews and read the book. You already know you are going to love it.

What a fantastic story! I chuckled and laughed at so many spots in this book, but when these four ladies get together prepare yourself for laugh out loud moments. I started reading this book because I couldn't get to sleep and consequently I stayed up all night reading. This series just keeps getting better with each new release. There are some serious issues in the storyline, but overall just a very enjoyable read that I would highly recommend. Great characterization of all parties, good, bad, or ghostly in nature.

I received an ARC copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest review with my own personal opinions.

I received an ARC of this enjoyable cozy mystery. Another awesome story in the Chantilly Adair Paranormal Cozy Mystery series. I love the characters and relationships in this series. The ghosts are following Chantilly again. Great story, kept me guessing. Highly recommend the whole series!

Although I enjoyed reading this book, I didn't like it as much as I have the others in the series. I can't exactly say why but maybe it's because there's not as much ghostly interaction. There is, however, a good ending.

Castleberry, Georgia. Present day. Carolyn Ridder Aspenson’s Ghost From the Grave (Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium #4) concerns a teammate of Chantilly’s son and the lacrosse team. The entire town and one particular ghost help in Chantilly and the coach’s search for the teammate who has gone missing. Just who is involved? Chantilly attempts to understand a ghost, a former groundskeeper, at the field the lacrosse team uses, but he refuses or cannot talk. He gestures. Then Chantilly’s son, Austin, disappears. “Now it’s all out war…..” I enjoyed this short Southern paranormal cozy. I like the characters very much! 4 stars.

I love this series. The story was suspenseful and held my interest. A real page turner. I couldn't put it down. Chantilly is getting better at using her gift of seeing spirits that need help, and figuring out how to help them. Don Rogers is trying to tell Chantilly something important by actions, not words. She feels it is related to the missing teenage boy Travis. When Austin goes missing, things really heat up and Chantilly switches into high gear, risking her life to find them. Meanwhile, things took a left turn for Jack and Chantilly but both are pretty stubborn. Can they straighten out things between them? Del and Thelma are a hoot, with their banter and fussing at each other but are the best of friends. They provide some laugh out loud moments.
I can't wait for the next Chantilly Adair book.

This isn't a very long story but it's got a great cast of characters and a mystery murder to go with it! Ghost From the Grave is about a boy missing and there are ghosts trying to tell one of the moms what's going on and why and where but she's having problems trying to figure out what he,they are trying to tell her about the coach and the missing boy! Ex-boyfriend detective doesn't know that she has powers to see dead people..Will they find the missing boy, will the mom and ex boyfriend work things out? Cookie neighbors try to help but looks like someone is making things worse!! Great read especially if you see ghosts and read people!! Miss Carolyn does a great job in this series.. Looking for more!!

Ghost From the Grave is the fourth book in Carolyn Ridder Aspenson Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium series and I am seriously thinking I need to go back and read the first three books I've missed. I enjoyed this ghostly mystery, especially the seances with Chantilly's friends. They sound like some gals I'd like to be friends with! Aspenson kept me guessing as to the culprit in this murder/kidnapping story and I like that in a mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this cozy mystery and with it's thread of romance in it, it's a winner in my books! Readers who enjoy a little paranormal with their cozy mystery books will not want to miss this one.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Severn River Publishing and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

This book is part of the Chantilly Adair series, one of my very favorites! Chantilly has a unique calling. She can see ghosts, and whenever they appear to her, they need her help and she does whatever it takes to do just that. But this time it gets personal when one of her teenage son's friends goes missing. The only person who can help find him is a ghost who Chantilly has difficulty communicating with. In order to find the missing teen, she must also solve the man's murder from years ago. I have read every series by this author, and I love it when there is mention of characters from her other series, and this one casually mentions two other characters from two other series! This book has suspense, a bit of romance, and just a hint of creepiness that all comes together in a fantastic read.

WARNING: Don’t poke the Momma Bear.

I love this cozy mystery series! I have long been a fan of Carolyn Ridder Aspenson and this series is one of my favorites. This story definitely is the story I feel is the best in the series so far. The heroine, Chantilly Adair, is relentless in uncovering truths when aiding a friend or even a stranger that appeals to her sense of justice. However, when her son’s friend goes missing and her “maybe boyfriend” is a person of interest, she will not be stopped from investigating the case using her special resources. Then, when her son disappears as well, let’s just say, “You ain’t seen nothing yet!”. Only a dufus would discount the rage of a provoked Momma. No spoilers in my review, so it is time to move on to my closing statements.

If you enjoy a good, clean, cozy mystery that can be read in one sitting; do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author. This gift did not affect my review of the book. This review is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I've gotten this book as an ARC, in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say, Chantilly and Angela are my most favorite characters from the brain of Carolyn Ridder Aspenson.

This book doesn't disappoint. Chantilly is contacted by a spirit who doesn't speak, so it's very hard for her to find out what it is he needs her help with. When a child disappears suddenly, Chantilly sets out to find him all the while having to give up her own secret.

If you like Angela Panther, if you liked the other Chantilly books, this one won't disappoint. If you don't know the books, you can start with this one as each case is started and finished in 1 book. But since the characters are developing a little more in each book, it might be nicer to start with the first one and work your way up to this one :) Happy reading!

How the heck does a ghost connect to a missing teenage lacrosse player? Read GHOST FROM THE GRAVE to figure out this strange connection! Chantilly Adair does what she does best...persistent careful sleuthing to help others. Her true protective nature comes out when her own son becomes a victim as well.
I love the wide range of characters (ages, interests, and ghosts) as well as the carefully interwoven personal and professional connections. It is sweet to see many relationships repaired and reconnected, no matter which side of the veil they are on.
Exciting and enjoyable read! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

Ghost From the Grave is another delightful read. Chantilly again finds her life complicated by a ghost who can't speak but wants her to figure out what he is trying to tell her and by the kidnapping of a friend of Austin's on the lacrosse team. Figuring the two events are related, Chantilly becomes increasingly frustrated trying to understand what the ghost is trying to tell her. Added to everything else are her feelings for Jack and her concern about Thelma's health, Ghost From the Grave keeps Chantilly very busy. As with the other books in this series, this is another one to add to your reading list.

A boy has gone missing and Chantilly is aided by the ghost of parks’ worker Don Rogers to find the boy and solve Mr. Rogers’ murder. Chantilly and Detective Jack are no longer a couple so that puts some strain on attending the lacrosse games where Jack is still the coach and where the boy disappeared from. I couldn’t put this book down because I needed to know what to the boy, what happened to Mr. Rogers, and what was going to happen to Chantilly and Jack. Del, Thelma, and Olivia are such good friends to Chantilly and such fun characters to read about. Love all the spirits that pop in and out with helpful tips, like Charlie and Jack’s grandmother. Looking forward to a future visit from Thelma’s cousin (I won’t spoil who she is). Still one of my favorite series to read.

Chantilly Adair is out to help another ghosts. The problem is, this one is pretending to be mute.

He appears when one of the boys on Austin's LaCrosse team disappears. The whole town is overly anxious, but Chantilly has had enough when it's her own son that also gets kidnapped.

This story is part of the Chantilly Adair Psychic Medium stories.
There are defined characters, a bit of humor in the form of some elderly citizens, and nice discriptions of the people and places to help you visualize the areas being described.

This is a stand alone story that is also a clean read.

Ever since Chantilly suffered a head injury, she sees dead people. This time it's the grounds keeper at her son's lacrosse field. She wants to help him but she's not sure what he needs. At the same time her son's best friend and team mate goes missing and is presumed dead. Is there a connection? Mr Rogers was well respected and honest. Who would want to hurt him? Are the same people the holding Turner? Chantilly is going to find what's going on. She won't let anyone hurt her son and his friends. Nobody fools with this momma! I like a strong woman. She knows how to get things done and she won't give up. I was happy to see Jack Levitt rekindle his romance with her. I was sorry when they broke. They made a great couple. Ghost From The Grave is action packed and filled with unexpected twists. I was glad that this story didn't dwell over much on the kidnapping. I Chantilly and her friends are easy to care about. A little over the top but good people. This small town provides a great backdrop for this cozy mystery series. Carolyn Ridder Aspenson has an easy writing style that I enjoy. There is mystery, ghosts and romance. What a great combination. I couldn't ask for more.

For a cozy mystery read, this one was an exhilarating thrill ride! Wahooooo!
Jam action packed, Fast paced and adventurous, Chantilly Adair is on a tense chase to find kidnappers who have taken Travis, a teammate of her son’s lacrosse team.

Things quickly escalate and become complicated when Chantilly realizes that somehow an old murder is connected with the kidnapping and she has to figure out the connection or risk losing Travis forever.

Even more daunting, Chantilly has to expose her psychic medium gift and connection with ghosts and risk losing Jack forever. But Chantilly sees what is happening to the parents in her community as each day passes without leads and without finding Travis, so she doesn’t give up and her perseverance pays off - until the bad guys turn their attention to her. And her son, who goes missing.

And ain’t no one getting in the way of that momma bear who thank you JESUS had a tracker app on her kids phone and was in on the chase of the bad guys (I have Classical Ride of the Valkyries playing in my head which really would rock a theatre at full volume, whoooooo!)

Sometimes the good guys triumph and the bad ones get kicked in the britches and thrown into the bowels of hells as they deserve!

C.A. Aspenson, LOVED this novel in the series, I was on edge with excitement and anticipation (well, I was stuck at home with COVID and read straight through the books and this one had me awake after midnight to finish- amazing!). This could be a blockbuster movie series.

Love the book! Adore Chantilly and her pals. She and Jack better get it together! Adore the series and an absolutely worthwhile read

A Quick Read with Lots of Family Drama, Mystery and of Course Ghosts

Chantilly Adair wasn't always able to see ghosts. She'd be the first to tell you, she wouldn't believe it herself and until her call when she hit her head after falling down the staircase at the fictional historical society of her small Georgian town. Now some of the historical tours in town involved ghost sightings. She wouldn't have believes it herself until one of the ghosts in the historical tours revealed herself to her. How, by showing her hanging from a rope in the foyer of the historical Civil War era home. The Ghost straightened her out on the myth of her suicide and helped Chantilly prove it was a historical murder. Better for the ghost tour business after all, she figured. Now her son's lacrosse team has a star player go missing. The elder grounds keeper who passed away a few years earlier reveals himself to her outside the storage locker where the team practices but never says a word. He just keeps leading her to the locker and stares at a shelf after staring first at a lacrosse team photo. Eventually she finds the hidden poison that killed the grounds keeper. She now knows he was murdered but what does it have to do with the missing player?
A quick paced cozy mystery murder ghost tale indeed.

Chantilly Adair’s life was normal until a head injury left her seeing ghosts. Occasionally she is able to help a ghost resolve their issues and cross over, and sometimes they are able to help her. Most of them are just happy hanging around Castleberry, a town that dates to pre-civil war and has many historical buildings, which Chantilly oversees as manager of the Chantilly Georgia Historical Society. Her best friends, Del, Olivia, and Thelma know about this development but she has never told her significant other, Detective Jack Levitt. Since he is no longer significant, she sees no reason to tell him now either. Her son, Austin, is also unaware of her ability but when one of his friends from Lacrosse goes missing, Chantilly hopes that one of the ghosts may be able to help find him.

This is the first book I have read in this series. I enjoyed Chantilly’s wacky friends and the humor sprinkled throughout the storyline supported by a good, solid mystery. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary. There are some good plot twists and now I want to read more books in the series.

Wow, what can I say about this story without giving anything away?......The feelers within this story were strong and I couldn't help but either smile, laugh or cry and I even had a moment when I was frightened. Yeah, it had it's moments for sure.

The characters were amazing!! I love Chantilly and I found a real connection with her. She was strong, brave, caring and such a loving character. And the old ladies were a HOOT!! They totally made the story fun and light when it was needed.

The story-line was incredible. There were times that I was on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding in my chest and worried if things were going to turn out okay and then there were times I would laugh out loud at something light and funny to having tears form in my eyes. It's simply amazing the stories that comes out of this author's imagination. This author can truly make you think that you are really apart of the story. This author is a true genus at storytelling and I highly recommend this read!!

Chantilly Adair can see ghosts. They peop up and communicate with her, sometimes checking on family members, sometimes giving her information to help solve a mystery and sometimes, just to give her a nudge in the right direction! Chantilly sees a ghost at the lacrosse fields and follows him to see what he wants. This particular ghost gives her hints but doesn't communicate very well with her. When her son's friend and teammate goes missing, Chantilly knows why the ghost is there but not what he wants. As she tries to find the missing boy, communicate with the ghost, she is also trying to keep an eye on her own son and his teammates to be sure they are safe.
I love this series. Carolyn Ridder Aspenson has created wonderful characters that you just fall in love with. Again, I devoured this book in one sitting and it took a little while to find out who took the boy.
Do yourself a favor and check out Carolyn's work! You will enjoy it and be glad you did!

I am still enjoying this series. Sometimes the ghosts that Chantilly sees are a bit weird but I guess that's part of the entertainment factor!

I plan to read the next one in the series.

Amazon synopsis:
Contrary to what many people think, most ghosts aren’t all that chatty. They like to pop in and out and leave cryptic messages that take forever to figure out.

Take the groundskeeper at my son’s lacrosse park: I know he’s trying to tell me something, but his mysterious messages and finger-pointing are impossible to understand.

And when my son’s lacrosse teammate goes missing, I know that ghost knows something. But getting him to talk about it is harder than getting my teenager to unplug from his video game!

Just as the puzzle begins to take shape, I start to realize that the situation is even worse than I had thought.

And then my own son disappears.

Now it’s all-out war...

Because nothing can stop a mother from saving her child.

How do you help when speech is not available? The heroine has to help a ghost, the lesson from that, a kidnapping and her own life. These are just some of the things going on in this story.

I was so engrossed in reading this story that I forgot to try to figure out the who done it. I did not even follow a rabbit trail, which is not normal for me. I usually can start down one before catching myself. I was so involved that I never saw the ending. The story was over before I knew it. Read it for yourself and see!!!

This author does a really wonderful job of giving enough background information from previous book(s). I did not feel lost or confused at anytime. I am and was so impressed reading this book.

Fun, easy to read, and thoroughly enjoyable mystery. Easily a standalone book.

This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

Let me begin by stating there are never spoilers in my reviews. If you love a cozy mystery with great characters, that keeps you guessing till the end, and on top of that gives you laugh out loud and even a couple of nail-biting moments, this a must-read for you! Engaging from the beginning will keep you swiping your Kindle and keep you up past your bedtime to finish this because it's just plain difficult to put down. I can tell you unequivocally that this book does just fine as a standalone, I hadn't read any of this series prior to this and had no trouble at all jumping right in and keeping up! I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher and am delighted to provide my unbiased review, and have will go back and read the books before this, that's how good this book was.

Chantilly Adair is faced with her most serious problem yet! A restless ghost at the lacrosse field seems to be the key to solving the disappearance of her son's best friend, Travis. Chantilly's quest to decode the ghost's message becomes even more deadly serious as days go by and the town fears the worst. When her son, Austin, disappears, all bets are off and Chantilly goes full-on mama bear!
Fortunately, Chantilly has the help of her loyal friends and her ex, the handsome detective and lacrosse coach.
I zipped through this story - I was immediately hooked and had to know what happened next.
Everything about this series is great: characters, setting, and well-written mysteries!
I can't wait to see what Chantilly does next.

When one of the boys from her son, Austin's , lacrosse team disappears after practice, Chantilly joins the search. She is also trying to figure out what the silent ghost of the former grounds keeper for the parks and recreation department wants her to do for him. Is there a link between his death and the boy's disappearance?

The story is well written and engaging with moments of tension offset by many moments of humour. The characters both human and ghost are relatable and you will easily care about them. This is the first book I have read in this series but it definitely won't be the last. I would recommend it to others.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest and freely given review
