Saeroyi's story gets way more complicated with the entry of this girl...

Jo Yiseo is a sociopath. She doesn't shy away from revealing bullying to the public, even when influential people are involved. Her only friend is Jang Geunsoo, Geunwon's half-brother.

Sooah was put through college by Jangga Group after she testified against Saeroyi and was then hired. She aims for a promotion, even though she is at odds with the company heir, Geunwon, who is lacking in leadership and vision. His father Daehee keeps him around, but also humiliates him in front of the other employees. He often reminds him that his half-brother Geunsoo is still an alternative as heir.

Geunwon gives Geunsoo his scooter, but has the brakes tweaked. During a ride with Yiseo, the brakes fail and they crash into Saeroyi. Thankfully, they aren't hurt badly. Saeroyi even invites them to his pub. She visits it with Geunsoo and a friend named Sunghyun who gets into a scrap with Seungkwon, one of Saeroyi's employees. He is a former inmate Saeroyi befriended in jail.

Though she is getting close to Saeroyi, Sooah calls to the police to his pub for serving alcohol to Yiseo's group - they are still in high school. The police interrupt the fight and fine him. The suspension of his pub for 2 months is the more damaging punishment. Geunwon is called to pick up his brother. He jubilates upon seeing Saeroyi be fined, but offers to make the suspension go away using his father's influence. Saeroyi refuses and promises Geunwon that he will pay him back for everything after six more years, like his personal plan dictates.

Le manga "Itaewon Class" de Kwang Jin poursuit son récit captivant dans son deuxième tome, nous plongeant encore plus profondément dans le quartier bouillonnant d'Itaewon, où l'espoir et la quête de revanche se mêlent de manière inattendue.

Sept ans se sont écoulés depuis les événements du premier tome, et Park Saeroyi a enfin réalisé son rêve d'ouvrir son restaurant à Itaewon, un quartier qu'il chérit particulièrement à Séoul. Armé de ses convictions et des leçons apprises de son ennemi juré, le groupe Jangga, Saeroyi est devenu un entrepreneur inspirant. Cependant, la concurrence est féroce dans ce quartier animé, et il aura besoin de l'aide de personnes inattendues pour faire prospérer son commerce.

Kwang Jin continue de développer les personnages de manière brillante, nous montrant leur croissance et leurs évolutions. Saeroyi incarne la persévérance et la détermination, tandis que l'histoire se concentre sur des thèmes tels que la rédemption, l'amitié et la poursuite de ses rêves.

Ce deuxième tome d'Itaewon Class promet une intrigue encore plus riche et des rebondissements inattendus, tout en explorant les relations complexes entre les personnages. Les lecteurs seront entraînés dans un tourbillon d'émotions, entre espoir et revanche, dans le quartier dynamique d'Itaewon.

I'm reading this series because I really enjoyed the kdrama based on it, but we're still at the part where it's a bit hard to like some of the characters. I really like the ML, as he absolutely sticks to his principles and does the hard work required to accomplish his goals. Although I like how the FL shown on this cover turns out (if the drama was true to the source material), at this point in the manhwa she's kind of just out to watch the world burn, and I don't like how that affects Sae Royi. But it gets better!

I loved this volume, it is so close to the series. I cannot wait to read more and watch them continue to build Honey Night into a legit pub.
