Kima Nolan has had enough of the Clarkes. If they weren’t the only thing keeping her business alive, she wouldn’t deal with them at all. Addison isn’t too bad. Andre’s bite isn’t as severe as his bark. But Aiden is so impossibly unruffled, so sure of his convictions… for Kima, its probably best to avoid him at all costs. There’s no telling what might happen if he gets too close.
This series has been great start to finish. I didn’t want it to end! I’m so excited to discover more from Christina C. Jones.
I loved following these brothers, what they stood for and how in this particular instalment, their support for another business was highlighted. Even though it had a (very) slight ulterior motive. But it worked so well.
And like the other couples in this series, Kima and Aiden just fit. Everything about them made sense and I gotta hand it to the author’s writing. It was 👌🏾!
The finale was as sexy and soothing as the other two books. Although they are short and sexy, each story also fulfilled its requirements for an excellent read. Aiden was able to help Kima achieve her goals and exceed both their expectations. The Tigress was their crowned jewel once their collaborative vibe sizzled into pleasurable acts of goodness on every level imagined. Hotness meter 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥!
My second reading. I agree with my previous review of 5 stars. ✨
(aiden + kima) The opening scene… yikes! This one went straight in, no chaser. Aiden knew Kima was going to be his, he literally set things in motion for it to happen. A chill man who will trek in a rainstorm for me? I’ll take 1 please!!
Aiden have been admiring Kima from a far and you know the Clarke brothers get what they want. Due to this being short and sweet I didn’t connect to this couple like the others.
If I could only choose one Clarke brother, it would be Aiden. He’s so nurturing and protective. His laid back personality is so attractive. He’s perfect for Kima. I love the way the Clarke family was so inviting towards Kima. It was very touching. Of course this book brought the heat, but I enjoyed the romantic angle the most.
This was the final story in the Clarke Brothers series and I would say that it was a good read.
I was a little disappointed in the first book, and I absolutely loved the second book, and this one was pretty good.
This was the first series that I have read by Christina C. Jones, and I have heard so many good things bout her and her work, but I wasn't blown away.
I love that all of the characters were different, and that their career choices were "normal" and unique in a sense.
Kima and Adien were really cute, and I wish that Kima wasn't trying to hard to push him away, when all he was trying to do was love on her stubborn ass.
My favorite scenes were when they were Aiden walked to Kima's place in the rain because she was scared of Thunder. And at the end when all the brother's and their women were all together to celebrate the re-opening of Kima's restaurant and all that jazz. Just super sweet.
Over all the series was good. I'm hoping that the next Christina C. Jones book will really reel me in and make me a big fan.
To be completely honest it took me a bit longer to read through the 3rd and final of this series. It’s not because I didn’t enjoy it perhaps I just didn’t connect with the two main characters Aiden Clarke the oldest of the brothers and the most laid back of the three and Kima the high strung and stressed about what she is perceives as a takeover of her restaurant. Their love story moved very fast because Aiden knew even before meeting her formally. I do love a man that is sure of himself. I would recommend this novella as well as the other two of this series. 4 stars 🌟 #currentlyreading #blackromancenovels #blackromanceauthor
Close Contact (Clarke Brothers #3) by Christina C. Jones is about Tigress restaurant owner Kima Nolan and chef Aiden Clarke. Aiden is a lover and a pleaser but still a take charge kind of guy. I was excited to see an island girl, Kima is great representation! This was an excellent way to end the Clarke brothers series! Kima & Aiden bring that heat in the kitchen, in the bedroom and the office! As always it’s great to see the reoccurrence of old characters, hey Astrid and Eddie!
Let me start off by saying I love all the Clarke brothers and their respective others but Aiden and Kima were definitely my favorite couple. Aiden is the eldest Clarke brother. Just a whole grown man and I love him, lol. I really enjoyed the Bahamian representation shown with Kima and her restaurant, Tigress. Close Contact was a fast-paced book, and I loved the connection between these two characters. This was a great end to the Clarke Brothers novella series.
Cute quick love story! I enjoyed getting to know Kima and Aiden and also liked bringing the other brothers and their girlfriends into the storyline as well to make it full circle with the restaurants! Nice wrap up to the Clarke Brothers trilogy!
Love these Clarke brothers. Hate this series ends. Aiden is my all time favorite. All of the brothers were real gentlemen and truly loved their women and showed it. I loved Mama Clarke. Great job CCJ.
Kima Nolan and Aiden Clarke were by far my favorite couple. The natural pull he had to her, taking interest in food from her restaurant, Tygress, and wanting to help her revamp it, all without truly having met her, was very endearing to me.
Aiden was attracted to Kimas' work ethic, her back story and the Love she put into her food and community. Seeing her outer beauty only made him want her more. He didn't just want a purely physical relationship with her; he wanted to know her and learn to Love all of her. Dang near had ME wet just from his declarations to her alone😏.
Kima was a phenomenal chef, yet lacked in some areas of knowing how to successfully run a business. When she hired someone to help, they took her money and left her almost losing her restaurant. She wasn't happy that the Clarke Brothers insisted on owning half her business in order to help her bring out the best in it, yet she didn't have many options. Aiden, along with his brothers, weren't hard to miss; the men were FINE, yet she didn't think something would happen with Aiden. Yet, their chemistry was electric and she felt at peace with him. It was hard to let him in, given how her last relationship almost took her out, yet Aiden was more than a casual fling and once she let him in, fully, she gained more than she'd ever expected.
I really loved that the Clarke Brothers mother, Loved Kima and didn't see her as using a relationship with Aiden, as a way to keep her business afloat.
I really wish these were longer stories, yet I loved the intertwined old Blackwood characters.
Short, yet just what you need. Great series. Great read. Highly recommend.
Finally, a closer look at the third Clarke brother, Aiden. The anticipation for his story has been building for a bit, so I dove right into this one.
Aiden’s story is actually centered around Kima and her restaurant Tigress. She’s reluctantly accepting the Clarke brothers’ capitol and restaurateur expertise to save her pride and joy. Expertise that she resents and fears will strip Tigress of what makes it hers. Nonetheless, Aiden is the current bane of existence, as she works with him to refresh the Tigress menu.
Kima, for all her insecurities, was a relatable character. She’s been burned in love and business before, so she’s cautious almost to a fault with Aiden. To say she’s gun-shy about the Clarke brothers’ controlling stake in Tigress and Aiden’s attempts to make a genuine connection with her would be an understatement. She almost gets in her own way by trying so relentlessly to avoid failure. Aiden, on the other hand, has almost risen above that. He’s loved and lost, so his approach to Kima on all fronts reflects his growth and self-assured mentality.
These two and their chemistry is enticing and comforting at once. If there’s one thing to be sure of, it’s that the two of them have plenty of sexual tension and it shines through in all of their interactions. But even outside of the bedroom (or kitchen, or office), they’re cute and there’s an almost tender character to it.
Though brief, Close Contact is another satisfying read. While I’m sad to see the end of this installment with the Clarke brothers, I’m hoping they pop back up in a future CCJ book.
Aiden was the oldest of the Clarke Brothers and became my favorite. I loved everything about him. He knew what he wanted and put his plan in motion to get it. Kima was determined for her business to succeed and wasnt letting no one get in the way of it, not even Aiden Clarke. When Kima and Aiden finally hooked up, they couldn't seem to get enough, but Kima was still skeptical until Aiden expressed how he really felt. Aiden was perfect for Kima and it showed. Once Kima let her guard down, everything was perfect. I'm glad Kima finally got her HEA because she sure deserved it. As usual Mrs. Jones make you fall in love with her characters and this one didn't disappoint!!!
CCJ did not disappoint with big brother Aiden and Kima!
Aiden Clarke is the epitome of cool, calm and collected. He's matched up with Kima Nolan, an unhappy, wounded tiger shark.
Their story had moments of spontaneity, close contact, questionable motives, uncertainty as well as intimacy. I really loved this couple together. Aiden was the calm to Kima's anxiousness.
This was a great story and an even greater way to bring the series to a close, which I wished didn't have to be. We HAVE to hear from these brothers again!
I just need CCJ to develop a TV show because the way she whips up these books that elicit all of my emotions, I just know a TV series from her would be SO BOMB. This book, the final in the series- was as good as the others, and although personally book 2 was my FAV, I love how this one introduced Momma Clark and had all 3 potential wifeys meet. I feel like it ended in a way that left me satisfied... But still open to receive more if CAN wants to bless us with a Christmas special or something.
Much like the other books in this series, the sex was smokin' hot in this novella. I think Kima and Aiden were cuter than then other two couples in this series. Aiden and his brothers have taken the controlling interest in her restaurant 'Tigress.' Kima is not thrilled about having the Clarke's all up in her business, but she takes it in stride.
I also loved getting a brief look at Astrid from Something Like Love: the Serendipitous series. Eddie even popped up at the end.
Astrid's class ignited a fire in Kima and Aiden came at the right time to stroke Kima's flames. I love how Aiden was so chilled and laid back being just what Kima needed him to be when her insecurities rose up. I have enjoyed reading these stories about Addison and Samara, Andre and Drew, and Aiden and Kima. I like how laid back their mom, Amelia Clarke, was towards the women her sons are dating impatiently awaiting on grandkids. I hope this isn't the end of the Clarke brothers.
Damn! I didn't know what to exactly what to expect from Aiden, but he crushed all of my expectations! He unarmed Kima with the laid back, unbothered attitude; but he was "all" man! Appreciated how he watched her from afar, and admired her, before he began his pursuit. She didn't know what hit her, and was trapped under the "Clarke" spell. 😃 I so enjoyed this series I did not want it to end. Great job! 👍👍👍
Close Contact is another great, quick read. I love how the Clarke brothers bicker , and lovingly rag on each other. I enjoyed all three introductions to the three brothers, and their women. However, I enjoyed big brother the best, because of how cool, and calm he always seemed. I would have just liked it to be a little longer. I enjoy reading CCJ so much because she has a way of intertwining characters from her other novels. It's always a reunion of sorts.
Slow and steady gets you there. Aiden has had his eye on the fierce but sligtly inconvenienced Kima. But all is good in talking it out and a whole log of letting off steam. First call pf duty, really get to that meeting, second call, hehe really try to make this meeting that keeps getting interrupted by uh..other needs. Loved this all more in in touch with the chakras and pace story of the three brothers.
Ugh, me encantó. Entre más leía más me gustaba no solo pareja sino la familia entera de parejas. Fue muy lindo y rápido de leer ya que seguimos a 2 chefs que tenían que reunirse para trabajar juntos pero whoops terminaron haciendo otras cosas.
This one moves fast and wastes no time getting to it. First few pages CCJ comes with all guns locked and loaded. 😂
My favorite parts of this Clark Bro story are that Aiden’s maturity as the oldest is super apparent. He knows what he wants and it was so sweet when he was spilling his guts to Kima. I love when the guy is the one who is sprung over the lady. 🥰🥰
