I have never tabbed a book so much in my life, there are so many gems in here in the form of quotes and journal prompts that I will revisit again and again!

Two criticisms:
1) couldn’t really get into the meditations, however I do use Samantha Skelly’s 21 day meditations and also have the headspace app for this

2) I really believe that the advertising of this book is slightly off. If you are looking for a step by step guide on how to “break the cycle” of emotional eating, this is not the book. This is unfortunate because it’s what the book is described as.. THAT BEING SAID! This is still a must read for anyone going through treatment. This is a perfect spiritual guide to get you thinking about how you got here, as well as how to regain the intuition and self trust that dieting, compulsive behavior, emotional numbing using food, and disordered eating may have taken from you.

A journey of self worth

In this book the author talked about her journey to heal herself after she nearly killed herself through starvation. Follow the journey of the author as she talks about how she starved herself because she thought she was fat. How she lied to people and hid the truth until she couldn’t anymore. Here is her journey to heal herself even when she didn’t know she was doing it. There were lots of surprises along the journey and lots of good lessons.

Never heard of the book but I did receive fraudulent charges from their website by the same author and address (hungryforhappiness.com). Infuriating that they allow rampant fraud activities and now have to replace the whole card and go down to change info on anything that is linked to it. Be careful with them.

A nice introduction to fighting binge eating and diet culture. It felt kind of MLM/Culty even though she wasn’t selling me anything...but I liked the journaling at the end of each chapter. Hoping to take the suggestions and use them to heal.
