TREETOPS: A TALE OF SURVIVAL, FRIENDSHIP, AND HOPE

Rate this book
I was alone. Abandoned in the woods. Had my parents been attacked by coyotes or had they just left me? Would I be able to find anyone ever again, or would I be trapped underneath the limbless trees? The sky was so close but yet so far. If only I could reach it from the forest floor. If only I could gaze out over the canopy and see if I had a chance to return home. The wilderness around me was remarkably vast, alive, and had an uncontrollable wildness with a sense of enormous beauty. I stood within it—a small person compared to the entire, unbroken world of intertwining lifecycles—but I was ready to explore its mysteries which were just waiting to be unraveled. I couldn’t sit back and watch, I was on an adventure now. Courage isn’t achieved without a little fear. A little fear is what drives one forward to never give up on what matters most, because that fear makes you fear losing all that you have, and all that you can have. Fear is both a life-giver and a life-taker. I couldn't freeze from that fear. I had to do something—anything. But what?
