When the reader opens up this book, he or she will see how silly hair can be. There's hair with spaghetti, hair in the wind, hair in curlers, hair with chewing gum and lots of delightful pictures.

This is not the first of Todd Parr's books I've read, and overall I find him to be really fun. Throughout the book, he shows what someone's hair might look like in different situations: wake up, rock concert, hanging upside down, pigtails, picture day, hat hair, hair in the wind, etc. And he ends with a lovely message about loving yourself no matter what your hair looks like. Very sweet.
My year old daughter loves this book for some reason. If we let her decide between this book and others, 9/10 times, she'll pick This Is My Hair.
I think you will love This Is My Hair. It so unique and there are grate pictures too! The first reason to read this book is there are so many different hair styles. They are so unique and crazy! For example, one of the styles is how it looks at Christmas. Another hair style is with a hat on. Another reason to read this book is there are amazing pictures in the book. Also the great words in the book too! For example, at the end of it, it says, "No matter how your hair looks, always feel good about yourself." The pictures are so colorful. I think this is the book for you! You should read this joyful book on a bright and sunny day! You will love This Is My Hair so much!!!
Charlotte and I have been co-reading this book and find Todd Par's semi-authobiographical work enlightening and amusing. The electric colors coupled with themes of silliness and self-acceptance make it a perfect lap-time story for toddlers and their parents. A tour de force. The best children's hair book since the last children's hair book.
I probably would have only give this 2 stars because like many of Parr's books (in my opinion) this one was a little bit quirky. But it was kind of cute and silly and made my 3 year old giggle so that made me like it more. As like Todd Parr's other books the bold colors and lines are very fun.
I picked this up at the library for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. She laughed and laughed through the whole thing. We've read it several times now and she has started correcting me if I say a word wrong. This is a lot of fun for the little ones and big ones too!
strangely enough i read this book years and years ago before i even had a daughter and LOVED it. Todd Parr has a permanent place in our at home book collection.
This book is great. It is about all different types of hair that someone might have. The pictures and great and I really think the children would like this book!
