Quickies: Eight Short Erotic Stories doesn't sound like it has much to give besides smut-related stuff, but these stories are so much more than their smut scenes. They are diverse, genre-hopping, sometimes gritty pieces of entertainment about human nature. I enjoyed all of them (but mostly The Dancer's Perfume by Jack Stratton, Fireworks by Callie Cline, and The Lyrist by Justin Chasteen).

Summery: An anthology of Eight Short stories with sex as a running theme.

What I enjoyed: In all honesty I enjoyed this more than I ever thought I would. The stories were bloody brilliant, definitely not you standard smut despite sex being the main theme. Each author did a great job on showing the very human aspect of sex and how it plays a role in people's lives.

What I didn't enjoy: As a whole I enjoyed the anthology, but I found some stories didn't quite fit (though I still enjoyed them!).

More of a 2.5 but since 3/8 stories were a 1 star I'd rather just bump it down.

I really enjoyed Satisfaction, Fireworks, and The Lyrist . Imagining a Better Meeting was pretty meh, but there wasn't anything wrong with it, and the rest of the stories just gave off "This isn't a beach, it's a bathtub!" vibes.

I listened to the audiobook. Some of the narrators I liked a lot, some I think did not have the right intonations for some of the stories. I enjoyed the idea of this, and liked this enough to read the second one. The last story was my favorite.
