I really enjoyed this fast-paced story about a local ring of human traffickers who prey on young women on the reservation that straddles Colorado and New Mexico near the Four Corners region. There were many thrilling moments as the bad guys don't hesitate to defend their prey from discovery and are determined to get rid of Dulcie and Austin.

I don't what has me more rattled -- the rabid-over-the-shoulder-checking nail-biter of a plot or the fact that this is my first Tanya Stowe novel. Seriously, how did I miss her previous books? You can be sure I'll be back-tracking!

This is one intense suspense with a few interesting twists that bring a fresh perspective to this LIS. Like the Navajo nation setting. While neither of the main characters are Native American, Stowe has woven in details of the culture, history and geography which I found fascinating.

And I love that Dulcie isn't your typical kick-butting heroine (though I do love those ladies as well!) but I could relate to Dulcie's more timid nature and found her all the braver for battling past her fears in order to find the missing women. She might freeze up in terror on occasion but she is relentless in her pursuit of justice.

And then there's Austin. Disgruntled, overworked and not sure what to make of Dulcie's wild claims. You'll want to seat belt yourself in for this read 'cause there's tons of twists and turns and breath snatching moments. Along with some emotionally romantical ones as Austin and Dulcie learn to open up and trust each other.

A page-turner from start to finish!

Tanya Stowe knows how to set the atmosphere for fast-paced, intense suspense and her newest offering is no exception. Dulcie, a social worker and counselor for victims of domestic violence, is being targeted for meddling in the wrong people's affairs. She's stubborn, tenacious, and passionate about her work but her past prevents her from getting too close to anyone. Austin is a grieving deputy who's poured everything he has into his work so that he doesn't have to face his broken heart and empty home. Surrounded by reservation land and people bent on evil ways, Dulcie and Austin must work together to unravel the mystery behind the missing women while trying to stay one step ahead of those hunting them down. I enjoyed learning about the Navajo culture and their way of life. Austin's second chance at love is sweet though fraught with danger. Austin and Dulcie's faith journey is realistic and heartfelt.

I received the book via Celebrate Lit Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are solely my own.

With no one to trust, but Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner, Dulcie is determined to get to the bottom of a human trafficking ring that is stealing the lives of the young women in Four Corners.

A fast paced read, with a quick hook, that brings to life the landscape and politics of the setting, bringing to mind the rugged terrain of Longmire. The does a great job of bringing the suspense, with compelling characters surrounded on all sides. I liked that Dulcie is a strong Christian and talks with others about her faith, along with facing her fears.

This story does an excellent job of blending suspense, with real character development, and faith. There are also great supporting characters as well, like Bea Yazzie, who is a sweet elderly woman, offering sage encouragement. I really liked Dulcie and Austin together, as they get to know each other and come to depend on each other more and more as the story progresses. A well balanced read, with great twists that made this book hard to put down. Definitely recommend!

This is an exciting and intense story centered around a human trafficking ring and I found myself wondering if these victimized women would ever find freedom. Each time Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner and domestic violence counselor Dulcie Parker are close to finding the leaders of the ring, some one tips them off. It's apparent that there's wide spread corruption but will Dulcie and Austin become targets also?

I've never seen New Mexico or the Mesa Verde National Park and I loved learning about the Four Corners region. If you stand on the Four Corners Monument you're in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. Author Tanya Stowe paints a beautiful picure of the open flatlands and the mountains that change from lavender and purple to mauve and gray as the sun goes down. I'm convinced that this is a place I need to visit!

She also offers a poignant look at the fragile relationship between Dulcie and Austin as they each struggle with their own demons. Dulcie is herself a victim of domestic violence and Austin has suffered great loss. Is there a chance that these wounded souls may find a healing bond together?

If you are looking for action, mystery, and a reminder of God's provision, you will want to read Vanished in the Mountains. It is enjoyable Christian romantic suspense from Love Inspired Suspense.

I received a copy from the publishers via Celebrate Lit and was under no obligation to post a favorable review. These are my own thoughts.

It is always an action-packed adventure with a Tanya Stowe book!

As a domestic violence counselor, Dulcie Parker wants to help wherever she can. So, of course, when she learns of a domestic violence ring, she has to do something. Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner seems to be the only official she can trust, and the pair quickly becomes caught in a dangerous pursuit of truth and justice.

Vanished in the Mountains is an exciting, thrilling read. I had fun venturing through this story with Dulcie and Austin, as they encountered twist after turn, and I felt completely satisfied when I reached the end. This is a book that is easy to recommend to readers in need of a quick romantic suspense; add it to your TBR!

I really enjoyed this suspenseful account of a law enforcement officer and a social worker putting their lives on the line to try and discover the details of a sex trafficking ring, find its leaders, and keep it from harming more women. There was plenty of action and suspense to keep me turning pages. There were ties to the Navajo nation and their customs and culture, and that definitely increased my interest level. I would recommend this book when you are in the mood for a quick, exciting read.

Vanished in the Mountains by Tanya Stowe
A search for missing women
leads to a deadly pursuit.
When domestic violence counselor Dulcie Parker uncovers evidence of a human trafficking ring in the Four Corners area, she’s determined to stop it or die trying. With corruption all around her and killers on her trail, Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner’s the one person she can trust. But can they work together to expose the crime ring before she becomes the next victim?
This is Dulcie Parker and Austin Turner's story.
Dulcie Parker wound her long curls into a tight bun on top of her head and gave it one last pat. Messy, soft buns were the “in” look right now but for her, the tighter the better. First off, her super-curly hair was messy enough and second, she’d found that the sterner, harsher look worked best for her job. In fact, she considered it part of her work uniform: a tight bun, black pants, a crisp white button-front shirt and a black jacket. As a fairly young domestic violence counselor, she needed to be taken seriously, not only by the men she often met but also by her coworkers who considered her too young and inexperienced.
As she entered the small living room of her apartment, she frowned. An envelope lay on the floor by the door.
Puzzled, she picked up the plain white envelope, ripped open the seal and removed a single piece of paper folded neatly into thirds. A message was printed vertically down the middle of the sheet.
Mind your own business or you’ll become a Missing One.
Dulcie’s fingers trembled as she read the words.
Deputy Turner! That’s who she would call. She searched her list of phone contacts for his name. She’d liked the man from the minute they met. Not just because of his appealing, boy-next-door good looks. Something about him inspired positive feelings, maybe his deep, confident voice or the lingering pain she glimpsed behind his gaze. Whatever it was, the man understood...had the same sense about people that she possessed.
During the investigation he had given her his cell number. His phone rang and rang until his message clicked on.
Austin Turner dropped his Stetson on his desk, ran a hand through his short hair and sighed. This was one of those days when he was especially glad that as a detective, he didn’t have to wear the typical county sheriff uniform. Not that he wasn’t proud of the uniform. He loved the job, the work he did and most of his fellow deputies with few exceptions.
No. The job wasn’t the problem. He was. For a long time now, he hadn’t been able to wear the uniform with pride. Ever since the death of his Navajo wife, Abey, and their unborn child in a car accident, he hadn’t felt worthy of the badge or the uniform he’d so proudly donned twelve years ago.
Again, he ran his hand through hair too short to move out of place...a nervous gesture and a sure sign that the bad feeling he’d had since waking this morning was here to stay. He’d had lots of those days in the three years since he’d lost his family. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he should have done more. Could have prevented their deaths.
I recommend reading.

Great story!

My rating is 4.5 stars

What a great story!

Dulcie and Austin were both passionate about their work, and both because of tragedy in their past. I especially admired Dulcie's commitment to helping women and children who had suffered from abuse despite the memories each encounter must have stirred up.

Consistent with the Love Inspired Suspense line, it was not overly suspenseful and yet had plenty of action and uncertainty to keep my attention. The budding romance between Austin and Dulcie was believable and enjoyable as they both fought their attraction to each other.

As Inspirational fiction, the faith element was clearly present though not overt. I loved the way Dulcie called to mind her favorite verse whenever she began to fear and was able to take courage. And how she was able to overcome the paralyzing fear she had suffered from childhood.

At times, I have trouble visualizing action sequences in books. Most likely, the problem is with me. However, I did not have any trouble picturing the events in Vanished in the Mountains. They came alive and clearly depicted what was happening. This was most obvious to me when Austin was driving his Jeep in the snow and encountered some difficulties. The thorough, yet not tedious, coverage of what happened helped me think through what was happening in a different way than I would have with fewer details. And the tool he used when he didn't have a knife available? Huh!

Having been to Mesa Verde as a child and seeing the cliff dwellings, I was fascinated by the events in the story that took place there. Especially as Dulcie and Austin got to enter the dwellings that most people are not permitted to enter! I also really enjoyed the time they spent in the Canyon de Chelly to speak with the two Navajo women, each so very different in their response to the investigation.

Vanished in the Mountains is perfect for those who, like me, enjoy suspense which is not overly scary.

This is a fast paced story that screams of intrigue. I first want to mention the breathtaking scenery the author describes when the action is taken into the mountains of Colorado. I could picture the beautiful sky and see the beauty that God had made. I would love to visit Canyon de Chelly. I loved how the author incorporates Navajo people. It was interesting to learn more about them and explore the land where history took place.

I liked Dulcie and her work as a domestic violence counselor. She takes her job serious and is determined to keep women safe. It was interesting to hear about her past and what she had to endure as a child. Her past has caused her not to trust and it has become more intense as the years go by. When she finds out about a human trafficking ring, she is determined to stop it.

Austin is a good cop but he has days where he can’t forget about his loss. He blames himself and feels like God could have prevented it. When he and Dulcie team up to catch the people involved in the trafficking ring, danger finds them. Dulcie has some evidence that could put people away for a long time. These people will do anything to stop her. There is plenty of danger as these two try to stay one step ahead of them. There is a good faith element in the storyline that talks about trusting God. I liked how Austin and Dulcie share their past and start to let each other in.

The story highlights the human trafficking and how rampant it is. I can’t imagine how someone could treat others like they are commodities to sell without any remorse. I appreciate the author using this subject in her story to remind us that evil is out there. There was one person I was shocked at that was involved in the crime. There are some close calls that had me on the edge of my seat. It is a great story filled with intrigue, danger, faith and learning how to trust again.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

I was quickly drawn into this story about a domestic violence counselor gaining unwanted attention and threats as she gets a little to close to the truth and makes some powerful people squirm.

Dulcie Parker is a woman on a mission to help other women and especially children to escape out of violent homes and have a better life. Dulcie knows all about escaping a violent home. She is working on a case of a young Native American girl who was found murdered. Even though they have arrested the girl's step-father for the crime, something doesn't sit right with Dulcie. Why are so many Native American women and girls going missing and nobody is taking this seriously?

Well as soon as Dulcie begins asking questions, she begins getting threats. Now understandably, Dulcie has a hard time trusting people. But she does turn to Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner for help. Reluctantly and a bit gruffly he agrees to help her, until he is told to back off. Why? What is really going on and what is trying to be covered up? Now that sets the stage for this story of a race against time to find out how far up this apparent trafficking of women and girls goes.

This eerily sounds like a story that could be happening today. And I so wanted to see these two take down this very real evil threat. But two against the powerful and the scared is quite a job. The suspense thread was very strong and I had a hard time putting this one down. Partly because it mirrors real life and I really wanted to see justice done. A good reminder to be aware of our surroundings at all times.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

I found this in a box of cozy mysteries that was given to me. The spine of this book says, Enjoy this free gift ! So, I am not sure if this was a promotional give away, but nonetheless, I read it in less than 2 days. I actually enjoyed it ! I wasn't sure, for a free book and all. The book genre is Love Inspired (a Harlequin label) Suspense, so it is explained as stories to uplift and inspire. There was an element of faith, which I enjoyed, mixed with romance and suspense. My jaded police procedural heart was skeptical.

Dulcie Parker is a social worker (?) that works with battered women at a shelter. They never really discuss her credentials. She has met a sheriff on a previous case, Austin Turner, and will be working with him again, because he is the only one she can trust. I don't know if this first case was a prior book or not. She has a history of growing up in a violent home. His history includes a wife that was killed while she was pregnant. They both have tough back stories that are hinted at, and nuggets are dropped, but they are not overly developed. The novel spends a lot of time on inner dialog, so you get to know the characters pretty well, and don't really question their trajectory together because of it. However, the plot unfolded a bit quickly for me. This is almost like this book was pulled out of another book - the one with the prior case ? Any way, it was a quick entertaining read. The suspense part was great ! It started and did not let the reader go. Some plot points could have been more developed. I did like the setting, Colorado near the Four Corners area, where the states of Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico meet Colorado. The ancient ruins and the canyon were interesting to me as I haven't read many novels set in this area of the US.

Vanished in the Mountains By: Tanya Stowe is part of the Love Inspired Suspense series. I have read several of the author's books and I have always enjoyed them. In this book we see Dulcie and Austin. Two individuals who are passionate about their work. Dulcie is a domestic violence counselor. She uncovers a human trafficking ring. She knows that she needs to stop it. She also connects the dots when she sees that a lot of Native American girls are going missing. As she digs deeper, she finds out that those who she thought she could trust are involved. When she feels she can trust noone she discovers that Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner is someone that she can trust. They are both coming from very broken pasts. Austin works a lot - throws himself into every assignment so he does not have to go home and deal with his broken heart. Dulcie picked the line of work that she can help women and children that are in bad situations. Dulcie herself escaped an abusive household. These two characters have to navigate a world and try and stop the human trafficking ring while running into those in high positions who have been abusing their power.

The author did a lot of careful research to help the readers understand the Navajo culture. I learned a lot through reading this book. The author also starts out the book with a whole lot of action and does not let up throughout the entire book. Well written real feeling characters, action filled storyline and a subject that is happening around us today.

I received a book through the Celebrate Lit blogging program - all thoughts are my own.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Vanished in the Mountains. This is an awesome book. All my readers know that Human Trafficking is very much on my heart so of course this book touched me. It's well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Domestic Violence Counselor Ducie Parker (an abuse survivor) enters her living room to find an envelope slid under her door. 'Mind your own business or you'll become the next missing one' Threats are a part of her job but this one is different. The missing ones is a name a Navajo woman called the girls that are disappearing in her area. She had been asking questions to find out how many were missing. She called the one man she felt she could trust and leaves a message.

Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner is a widower that is convinced he could have done more for his wife and child. There had to be a way he could have saved them. Dulcie is a woman on the edge, a woman he wants to stay away from but he gets a message from her. She sounded terrified. Before he can answer her messages she shows up at his office. Can he help her? Can they work together to find this crime ring before she also disappears?

A terrifying journey to find a human trafficking ring before the girls are sent all over the world. God has a plan for these two broken souls: a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction even in a time of chaos. Trust Him and watch Him work in your life.

I loved this novel. It read super fast and sucked me in from the beginning. I could not put it down. If you are like me and love a good suspense novel then you’re going to want to read this book. And you’re also going to want to slot out several hours for reading so that you don’t have to put it down until you’re finished.

Dulcie is a wonderful character full of compassion. In fact, maybe a bit much compassion and drive for her job. She actually lost a job from it and now she’s trying to play by the book. But when she notices girls going missing and people not paying enough attention she decides to do some investigating on her own.

When her life is in danger she feels she can only trust one man, Austin Turner. Austin doesn’t want this connection or this case but when his superiors warn him off associating with her he knows something is going on and he must protect her and investigate.

Once you start this book you’re not going to be able to stop reading. It is super fast-paced and keeps you engrossed. Plus the characters make you feel like you’re a part of the action. I highly recommend you read a copy!

LOVE Inspired books are a Favorite of mine. I like that the books
are short, easy to read and come in many genres. The Suspense
series are truly a favorite of mine. Tanya Stowe is also a wonderful
author and I enjoy her books tremendously. Vanished in the Mountains
is her newest release and I had the opportunity to read it.

Dulcie Parker is a Domestic Violence Counselor who goes
above and beyond to help anyone she can. She discovers
a human trafficking ring in the Four Corners area and she
knows she has to help the Women who are getting involved
in this and lead they away from the Ring. She begins to feel
her safety is at risk and the only person she can trust to help her
is Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner. Deputy Austin and Dulcie began
to work to solve who is running this ring and be safe themselves.
Can they break up the Ring before Dulcie becomes a victim? Will
Dulcie and Deputy Austin become friends or something more as
they work together to break up the Ring?

Vanished in the Mountains had suspense from the very first pages.
I was hooked and couldn't stop reading. There were so many twists
and turns and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I also
enjoyed the romance intertwined within the Suspense. The topic
of Human Trafficking was written into the book with sensitivity and
understanding. I truly enjoyed this book and give it HIGH
recommendations!

As the plague of human trafficking has become more and more visible in the news recently, I appreciate the fact that several Christian fiction authors have taken the initiative to include this subject in their novels to bring it to the attention of a larger audience. In my opinion Tanya Stowe has done a superb job by tastefully yet realistically describing the horrors of this evil and at the same time managing to introduce a ray of hope for the victims.

Her story features a young domestic violence counselor, a former victim herself, who discovers an alarming number of missing girls from the nearby reservation. Motivated to get to the bottom of it, Dulcie Parker soon finds her efforts blocked at every turn and realizes that there is no one she can trust except for Deputy Austin Turner. Working together the pair finds themselves besieged by danger even as they get closer to unearthing the truth. The problem is, will Dulcie’s dedication to stopping the traffickers lead to her becoming another victim.

I enjoyed Vanished in the Mountains with it’s riveting plot, strong characters, escalating suspense, endearing romance, and strong message of faith. I will definitely keep my eyes open for more books by this author.

This book was so hard to put down! From the moment I read about someone sending Dulcie a threatening note, I was hooked. I really love Dulcie’s personality because she just seemed very human. She was freaked out about her situation and struggled with freezing in the face of danger (because of a rough childhood), but you could also see her grow as a character. I also loved how strong her faith was, and how she was so passionate about fighting for those who wouldn’t fight for themselves.

So while I was reading the book, I thought that I had reached the end because there’s this one part that seems like the climatic ending and I was very disappointed, because for such a great book, the resolution seemed too easy… but then you actually get to the the end and WOW! Oh, I really want to tell you about the end, but I don’t want to mess it up for you, so I will leave you with this – it is the perfect ending to the book. Overall, I’ve never read a Love Inspired Suspense book that I didn’t like, and this one was great. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who wants a shorter book that is filled with suspense, action and even a bit or romance.

Special thanks to Tanya Stowe, Celebrate Lit, and Mills & Boon Love Inspired for allowing me to read and review this book — all opinions are my own.

Can they survive a human trafficking ring?

If I hadn't already picked up Vanished In The Mountains because it was a Tanya Stowe book I would have chosen it because of that gorgeous cover! I'm always a fan of mountain scenes and this one looks particularly chilling. It also totally matches the story, as in it is just as chilling as the whole human trafficking theme.

Something that really impressed me about Vanished In The Mountains was that Dulcie, the heroine, doesn't have it all together. She has found meaning and purpose in helping victims of abuse but sometimes those old fears and reactions come flooding back and get the best of her. This, I think, is very realistic and it was a smart move by Tanya Stowe to incorporate into the story.

I really enjoyed Vanished In The Mountains. It was romantic and also had some of the best moments of action adventure that I've read in Love Inspired Suspense so far this year. Tanya Stowe kept me glued to the page with her vivid descriptions of the Four Corners and Canyon de Chelly area, as well as with her spine-tingling suspense. If you like Love Inspired Suspense I definitely recommend adding this book to your TBR shelf...

What I think you should know:
Vanished in the Mountains by Tanya Stowe is a contemporary Christian Romantic Suspense. It is a standalone novel.

What you might need:
Dulcie Parker is a domestic violence survivor.
Austin Turner lost his wife and unborn child to a car accident.
This book tackles Human Trafficking and Missing Native Women

What I think about this book:
If you have never read a Tonya Stowe book this is a great place to start, if you have then you know what a fast paced treat that you are in for. Stowe starts off the book with a bang, and never lets up. I love how she weaves beautiful descriptions of the surroundings and Navajo culture into the book. I enjoyed how Dulcie and Austin challenged each other and helped the other to overcome pain and fear from their past. This was an action packed story that left me wanting more of the characters and the author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Celebrate Lit, this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

The storyline in this book moved along very quickly. The suspense and tension began building almost immediately, and by the time the first chapter ended, I was already drawn into Dulcie Parker’s story. It was interesting seeng Dulcie’s character change from being completely terrified in the beginning to finding bold courage to help someone else in trouble. When Dulcie was on the run from the men who wanted to kill her, she learned to depend on her faith in God. As Austin Turner seeks to keep Dulcie safe, he sees Dulcie’s faith in action, and it has an impact on him.

This is not a lengthy book, but the author did a great job with her plot and character development. The ending wasn’t rushed, so everything felt complete as I read the last chapter. There’s just the right combination of action suspense, and romance in this story.

The two main characters of this thriller were easy to like, especially Dulcie. Having been abused, and having watched her mother abused affected the rest of her life causing extreme trust issues and a form of paralysis when confronted by evil. In the story she just wanted to be normal, and not so fearful.

Sheriff deputy Austin Turner took her fear and mistrust of men as a challenge of sorts, but mostly he wanted to help her with her mission to find and return trafficked girls on this Indian reservation he calls home. (Thirty eight Native American women and girls in the area of Durango had gone missing over a three year period)

There's an element of a "tour guide" in the book, characters driving or walking through locations, giving the history and details about them. "Built in the 1800s, the narrow-gauge line ran from Silverton to Durango and was one of the the biggest tourist attractions of the area." If you live or vacationed in those areas (like we did) it could be a fun addition.

Wonderful suspense book with a definite gentle faith message.

After reading Vanished in the Mountains, I had to question myself as to why this was the first time I have read anything by Tanya Stowe. I thought it was a pretty good romantic suspense. Even though it was little bit predictable, it was still great to read with a few twists and turns. I loved getting to know Dulcie and Austin. The story is full of action, danger and adventure. I am so glad I had the chance to read it and be entertained for a few hours.

I am giving Vanished in the Mountains four stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading books that have mystery, suspense, and clean romance. I will be looking for more by Tanya Stowe in the future. This one is definitely worth reading. I liked it.

I received Vanished in the Mountains from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Dulcie and Austin have chemistry from the beginning, though neither really want to accept that fact. It made for some interesting conflict, especially with Austin. The suspense and romance balanced each other, and I enjoyed that the opening threat was somewhat milder and allowed for the suspense and tension to build.

Dulcie's attitude and her ability to do what's right, even in the face of danger or death, is an admirable quality that helped make the book memorable and exciting because I never knew what she would do next. Austin's grief had a realness to it that coexisted with the faith element in a positive way, drawing me into their lives and giving an appreciation for the story.

I love the Love Inspired books. They aren't too long or too short, but just long enough to get a good story in. This one didn't have a ton of suspense but it had plenty of action to keep your focus. Dulcie was probably my favorite character in the story. She is determined and has a big heart.

The chemistry is there between Dulcie and Austin was there. I did feel for both of them and the circumstances they had to deal with, but the romance part was written well. I like the building of this story, it didn't start out at breakneck speed, but was still effectively built up to enjoy and figure out.

4/5.

Vanished in the Mountains by Tanya Stowe is a stand-alone Love Inspired Suspense book. Domestic violence counselor Dulcie Parker feels the need to help those that can’t help themselves. When she uncovers evidence of a human trafficking ring in her area, she knows she must help even if she dies in the process. She turns to Deputy Sheriff Austin Turner for help, can they solve the case before the gang strikes again? When the story first started it was almost as if it was a continuation of another story. There was talk of a previous case etc. Other than that, it was a great pulse-pounding story. Dulcie was a likeable character even though she was a wimp when it came to reacting to trouble. Even though Dulcie and Turner had problems they were able to work through them and come out stronger in the end!

It's beyond cold for my area as I write this, making this book even more real at the moment. Dulcie and Austin are very integrated into their work, dealing with domestic abuse. There's a sex trafficking ring, and young Native American girls are disappearing. That alone is scary as can be! Dulcie and Austin both have past wounds, and they are going to have to trust and work wonders to stop this horrible evil.

I found this book to have plenty of suspense, deal with a horrible issue in a positive light from the viewpoint of healing and getting help. It has just enough faith in it, and I can see why it's in the Love Inspired series. It's a really good read, that went by all too quickly, with a nice romance. I really liked these characters and their jobs.

Thanks to Celebrate Lit for my copy of this book. This review is left freely, a positive review wasn't required.

Vanished in the Mountains is a good book set in Colorado and New Mexico. The protagonist is a beautiful woman with strength and determination she doesn’t even realize. Turning to a county Deputy for help, they end up working together. They are each fighting their pasts. The protagonist’s faith helps her move past her fears. She helps the Deputy rediscover God’s love and grace. I really enjoyed the beautiful landscape descriptions. This Christian suspense book has romance, too. I would recommend this book to those that like books featuring law enforcement. Inspirational fiction fans, mysteries and suspense readers will enjoy this story.

This book was provided through Celebrate Lit, the publisher and the author for me to read. The opinions expressed are my own thoughts.
