Bleeding Words
Ramona Jackson dropped out of college when she became pregnant. Casting aside her aspirations of becoming a professor and traveling the world, she focuses her energy on raising her daughter, Jazz. Jazz and Ramona have a close, but somewhat rocky relationship as Jazz observes her mom living a life she doesn't completely accept. Despite the conflicts and turmoil, Jazz decides she is not going to let anything stand in the way of her dreams. But on the day of Jazz's graduation, a personal tragedy occurs. The tragedy is one of many obstacles thrown in Jazz's way, leaving it up to her to find the strength to fulfill her goals or follow in her mother's footsteps.

OMG I loved this book. It was amazing. I loved the relationship that Jazz has with her mother and I'm glad so got some sense about her relationship with her children and their father.

Good story
This is my first read by this author and this was an interesting read. There is so much going on in this story for me to write a review. I will say that both Ramona & Jazz were selfish. Jazz doing almost the same thing her mother had done to her, but in a different manner which was downright shameful and she had no regrets until her mom slap her with reality. I won't give too much away about the story, but it was interesting and almost what really happens in real life. The storyline was good, minimal grammatical errors which was also good. There was a part where the author wrote an entire description which could have been cut short. Overall this story I give 4.5 ⭐️'s.

Good Read
This was my time reading this author and it will not be my last. This was a very good read, I loved Jazz in the beginning of the book but by the end I didn’t care for her. She was so book smart yet lack so much common sense. I gave the book 4 stars because I felt like the dragged on. Overall a good read

I purchased this book because of the amazing reviews on Amazon and oh boy, they were all right. Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. I couldn't put this down until I ended. This is a beautiful love story and I totally felt in love with this book. I recommend it!

I really had to process this one
Bleeding Words made my head spin. First, I’m thinking Ramona was whore-ing it up (lol) whole time she only got two male companions. Second, had me thinking Ali was gone turn out to be like “Uncle Reggie” (iykyk). So glad he turned out to actually be a good man 😅. Third, why WHY? the whole family though! Fourth, poor Jazz, she had it rough in a very uncomfortable way for a child. But child I thought she was about to turn into a meth head for a minute there. Tami had me worried. Fifth, Rashi. He was one of one for real. From the moment he stepped away after learning the truth, he had my respect. That respect kept growing as I continued reading. Last, I’m glad it all worked out. 100/10 highly recommend reading!

I was captivated by PAGE 1, led by the hand into this beautiful slice-of-life story about a single mother and her daughter Jazz. The characters were relatable, the mentions were nostalgic (the songs, the places), and the threading of Jazz' lessons about life and language were very entertaining.
I never read a book without chapters before, but this book flows perfectly without them.
Take your time and enjoy this book!

This is a good realistic story and the characters are well developed.
Jazz takes you on an amazing journey full of ups, downs, love, loss and drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
There are some parts in the story that you will get mad at Jazz for her behavior but by the end she gets it together.
The only issue I had with the story is the flow was a little off - so parts needed a little more to link the story. Other than that, it is an amazing story.

Fantastic!
This is one of those books you keep and read over and over. It's deep, thought provoking and soul stirring. I feel as if I know each of these women. I've been these women. Young Jazz was hilarious. I really wish Ramona and Ali's story had turned out differently. The last scene with Ramona and Jazz took me out. I couldn't stop crying. Bleeding words indeed.

What a good book book with lots of twists and turns it had a very few errors the cover was eye grabbing I thoroughly enjoyed it I give this book 5 pens
