An interesting romance read, interrelating worlds of Reapers MC and mafia.
Maverick and Sophia were insta connected but the secrets they kept could tear them apart.
Although the plot was engaging, the development was not sufficient or strong.
Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable and easy read.

Such a beautiful story. I was under the spell from the beginning. Sophia and Maverick sure had a rollercoaster of a relationship filled with passion but also danger when they were dragged back to reality. I'm just glad they kept fighting for the lives they really wanted.

hmmmm. That was interesting.
Admittedly, before I even begin, I'd like to state that I skimmed through A LOT of this book. I was really intrigued in the beginning and then sort of lost interest and started skimming. The story initially was really cute and I liked that the main characters had a somewhat instant attraction, but then when the author started to through in the drama, it all became a little too back-and-forth for me. Then, with everything that happened, I felt like there was too much content up front and not enough content during the climax of the book. Additionally, the last chapter quite frankly in my opinion ... sucked.
It was like the author finally untied all the strings for us and then was like, 'okay, have fun tying it all back up neatly.' Like, WTH? I hate when authors do that...if you want to give me a teaser for the next book, just add it after the current book is done. Don't bury it into the epilogue. Those are meant for happy endings, future insights, weddings, babies (I can't believe I said that one honestly), and humorous shenanigans.
--Rating - 2 stars - couldn't hold my attention. Not sure if that was in the writing or in the story, but I'm leaning towards a little bit of both.
--Steam - 4 stars - quite well written! Hot AF. Steamy AF. Yum!
--Storyline - 3 stars - cool story, sort of interesting plot twist, but very confusing at times. I think the author tried to do too much for standalone.
--Plot Twists - 3 stars - too many, and some weren't necessary. I think the extra twists just muddled what could've been a cute story.
--Emotional Pull - 3 stars - Sophia's past trauma is described in great detail and is quite horrendous.
--Writing - 2 stars - had my attention in the beginning
--Denouement - 2 stars - while I definitely wasn't happy with the ending of the book, I think there was a number of things that weren't addressed in the end.
--Cliffhanger? - No, but a lead into another book.
-HEA? - Yeah, but nothing epic
*Disclaimer: the past trauma that the main character went through was described in great detail and included scenes of captivity, restriction, blood/gore, rape, drugs, and more. So, if you aren't keen on reading any of those things...maybe don't read this book. However, the entire book isn't based on those sorts of things, just the portions that are trying to explain Sophia's past.

I rated this a 3.75. Maverick's and Sophia's story was a roller coaster ride for me. There were times I really liked what I read with an evolving love story and times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. Sophia opens her heart and soul to Maverick a Romano, the elusive brother who turned his back on the Mafia to become a member of the Reapers. She is brought back to the camp when saved by the Reapers from a job that the club was involved in. I'm not a staunch reader of MC stories but this one was pretty tepid in relationship to what some of the MC Clubs do with the women in their stories. I can't stand when a man whether it be motorcycle clubs or Mafia refer to their women as an "old lady"; so not endearing.
With that being said Maverick made some decisions unbeknownst to Sophia and brought her right back to the hell she was escaping from with an arranged marriage to a Moretti. She had been born into a institution that didn't care what she wanted and was nothing more than a bargaining tool and pawn in these men's delusional minds. What was upsetting for me is that he went back to his family with Sophia with no clear cut plan to rescue her from this fate.
The story ensues with additional characters including the manipulating grandmother (Nonna) who is a fox in sheep's clothing. Even though her husband is dead she is still a force to be reckoned with. Maverick refers to her as " wily" which is a harmless reference given to what she is capable of. The number of women who have married Romano's only to take their lives or be killed after having children is countless and not explained in detail, but Nona's actions speaks for themselves.
Sophia and Maverick's attraction is very hot and lust filled. Both undergo so much angst and so much drama before they get their happily ever after. All does end well but it is a bumpy ride for both of these characters. Their love for each other does win out with the help of Sophia's brother who plays a big part in helping Sophia and Maverick get their HEA. It's a hard fought battle with ups and downs, twists and turns, but eventually our couple gets their HEA.

You can’t help but be floored by the quality of writing and feeling in this book, it’s Outstanding!
Maverick and Sophia are so much alike, both have seen so much death and pain , too much for anyone’s lifetime.
Both need a place to just be, no judgement, no responsibility, no families except to one they choose to be part of.
This book is tense, painful to read in some places with descriptions of the punishments doled out the Mafia families.
It’s also beautiful in the relationship between Maverick and his lady.
The love, acceptance and passion these two share.
It takes your breath away.
Stella’s books are second to non, they are stunning in there wonderful characters who are so believable and real . I have to read them the minute they hit my Kindle, waiting is impossible for me.

While recovering within the MC confines, Sophia is confronted while out on a morning run by Maverick, a MC brother who returned from a mission the night before.
Sophia and Maverick share an instant attraction that both attempt to fight. Sophia due to the torment she's suffered throughout her life and the recent kidnapping, Maverick due to family connection.
This was an enjoyable, quick read.
Maverick sounded absolutely delicious and I was captivated from the start, although annoyed and frustrated after Sophia and Maverick left the MC confine.
The sex scenes were extremely well written although the ending appeared rushed.

The last of this series but if I understand correctly it spins off to another and maybe another...
This is Sophia's book. You remember her brother runs her own family of mafia and she is his right hand woman. She has lived a messed up life but at the same time hasn't lived a life at all. She has such nightmares that are worse because they really happened.
While she is recovering with the Reapers she gets in an even more Mafia problems and doesn't have any idea what to do with her brother on his honeymoon she tries to work through to a normal life but someone else wants more but he too is hiding something but what could that be... nothing is worse than what she has been through or is it...

This wonderful read will hit you with a major case of "The Feels". Maverick and Sophia absolutely perfect for each other. The story had me captivated from right from the very first chapter and held it until the last page was turned. I loved the attraction and chemistry that zinged and sparked between these two. It was powerful and potent. Both characters are very strong but that does nothing to lessen the heavy burden of baggage they each carry. A really gripping read that is filled with drama, emotion, intensity, darkness, passion and nerve wracking tension. This is my candid review that I am electing to post.

Sophia, daughter of a mafia family is hiding out with the Reapers MC having suffered severe trauma in her past. When Maverick returns to the Reapers their attraction is instant. However, he has secrets of his own that have led him to hide out there too. Sophia knows that if she returns home she will be married off to another mafia family. With some unexpected twists and turns in their relationship will they be able to have anything like a normal relationship. Hot and steamy story with an introduction to the family who will be the central characters in this author's next series. I can't wait. Read an ARC for an honest review.

Sophia is kidnapped then rescued by the Reapers and taken to there hideout there she is given to Maverick to try and help. Because she is the sister of the Mafia Dom he doesn’t want to know as he wants nothing to do with the Mafia. He agrees to help in the end. Maverick helps then when he is told something that doesn’t sit well with him he dons a black suit and takes Sophia to his family. There his grandmother intervened and Sophia goes back to the Reapers. Here she feels safe. Maverick goes back and they eventually talk. I’m not spoiling the rest only to say so far there are three books and you must read all three.

a very interesting read for sure you have maverick "who does not DO THE MAFIA" and he has his reason why ... then you have Sophia, she is sweet, innocent ,tortured,scared, and she is drawn to Maverick she knows he will protect her and keep her safe yet she feels there is something about him that is offsetting to her, something about him that shouts Danger!.. but her hearts wants what the heart wants so she gives into hin and tells him everything.. and as she does .. she see's him change mannerism's right before her eyes.. when Ashton comes in to help her pack she tells Sophia to TRUST Mav.. He Knows what he is doing and will get both of them thru this .. But can Sophia actually trust him when she walks out and see's him for who he really is ... This book was an awesome read just absolutely way to short for me I wanted so much more for this couple..

Another great read linked with the Twisted Reaper series, Sophia Moretti is part of the Moretti Mafia family and has been taken in by the Reapers after she has had a traumatising experience and who better to help a damsel in distress than them. Maverick a bit of a loner who distances from anything linked to Mafia finds himself in an impossible situation and can't leave her alone. There are a few twists and turns in this and some surprises along the way Maverick isn't exactly who he appears to be and there are numerous issues to be resolved before they can get a happy ever after. A good entertaining read.

How can you not fall for a man who is willing to give up everything to make you feel safe? A man willing to face his own demons to bring you peace. Sophia's fear and anxiety were heartbreaking to read. You could feel her fear seeping through the pages. She found herself again in the MC. I love this series because the women all become stronger and not just due to the men they meet but the women in the MC who cheer and support each other.

Sophia meets Maverick whom she knows has secrets just as she does. Finding out his secret creates problems that they have to overcome. Deceit, rivalries and the mafia combine for a very intriguing story. Sophia and Maverick must work out their problems to survive.

Sophia is the sister of a mafia don and she has experiences horrific trauma in her life, and when she is once again in the path of danger she is rescued by Maverick and The Twisted Reapers, who give her a safe place of refuge. The chemistry between these two is undeniable but will secrets be the end of them? This is a well written story which is intense, and filled with danger, secrets, twists, passion, and love. I look forward to reading more from this author and I highly recommend this for all readers.

Seriously?
I made it to 62% of the book and had to jump to the end. It didn’t help. I will say that someone needs to slit Elena’s throat. The amount of manipulation that woman was responsible for was obscene and everyone just acted like she was just little ole nonna. Nope. And then the ending was bad. Tobias is suddenly brother of the year after scarring Sophia for life after her parents died? Nope. And then the weird ending. And lastly, using the epilogue as a preface for the next book in the series is massively annoying. Hard pass on any future books for me.

Sophia Moretti is one of my all time favorite characters. She is broken and lost yet strong and powerful being a mafia princess she has been through so much. Maverick has been hiding things and I have been waiting for his story, these two meet in the woods and immediately know they are better together. She could never believe he is the one person who can save her and I'm so excited to meet the Romano's Mavericks family. Love how these two get the perfect ending and looking forward to more books from this incredible author.

Sophia has plenty of issues going on but has a core of strength that even she forgets is there. When these worlds collide all hell breaks loose. But the soul of this book is simply a love story. Add in the Reapers and boom, instant gratification. I enjoyed every minute of this. I can't wait for the next book.

I absolutely loved Sophia & Mavericks book , It was everything I possibly wanted and hoped for & more ! I also enjoyed seeing Tobias & Ava again and to see how their lives are going & to get a more insight to Rubicon & See some of the Ramones family ! My next read will hopfully be of mavericks brother & his long lost love & hopfully lots more of nonna!! As far as books go this one is in my top 10 will definitely re read!!!

When I ran away, I didn’t expect to meet a Devil!!
Stella Andrews is an outstanding author!!! I can’t put any of her books down. She never disappoints. Sophia is scared and broken. She meets a man that is MC biker. Maverick is the most handsome man she has ever seen, but he is not a good man. She knows she should get away from him. She has a very bad feeling about him. I really enjoyed this story. So well you!!!!

This is Sophia and Maverick's emotionally charged story, full of violence, pain, guilt, panic, terror, fury, passion and deep dark secrets. It begins at the Rubicon, home to the Twisted Reaper MC and "It was like walking into Satan's lair." There are some twisted surprises and tough decisions. I highly recommend this book and series; definitely read the books in chronological order because the characters and storyline are all interconnected.

Stella wow.
I am more than pleasantly surprised with this book. I’m was so intrigued when I read the synopsis. I just couldn’t decide what direction it was going to go. And even after you start reading you are half way through before you figure part of it out. But even then there’s more that comes up. Stella I can’t wait for more.

No thanks!
I was really disappointed with this one. It came highly recommended by a friend of mine. The premise was good but the writing left a lot to be desired. The hero was shallow and the girl was a bit too weak. If you're looking for a quick read because you have time to waste then this will do it. Just not for me!

I love Stella Andrew's books! Sophia and Maverick's story is one I've been waiting for since reading Owning Beauty. Sophia has suffered greatly at the hands of her captives and it's only with Maverick's help that she can over come the things that has happened to her. Stella weaves a story of love and trust, of forgiveness and moving forward. Definitely cannot wait to see what she gives us next.

After reading Owning Beauty I found I had to follow up with this one. My only regret is I hadn't realised that I missed the first book Breaking Beauty, but I will go back to it.
These mafia romances are well written and I found the characters easy to invest in. The plot is well developed and although I had guessed Maverick's background it did not detract from the story.
Very enjoyable.

Dirty little secrets
This story kept me guessing. When I was trying to figure out how Sophia and Maverick would end up, every thing changed. The characters change and had to face another set of problems. I was continually entertained with new characters entering the story and new challenges facing Sophia and Maverick. The ending was sweet.
