This T&YA Coming of Age Fantasy is superb. Grey Cloak and Dyphestive end up alone again. While traveling in a barren wasteland, Grey Cloak takes ill. And by no way has Black Frost diminished.
The crazy antics of the main protagonists continue to entertain. Dyphestive does what he does best: bash everything. Grey Cloak pursues his outrageous strategies. The end is admirable.
Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Haunting. Scary. Tragic. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.
Two questions the brothers have after they went through the mural of time at the end of Book 7. Their adventures continue as they struggle to answer the questions of when they are and where they are. Has their escape helped or hindered the battle against Black Frost? Grab this book and find out. I recommend this book.
You may think of the plot line for an epic series like this as a road that the characters, and us readers, take through the wonders and adventures of the tale. The road is rarely either straight or simple. Halloran has already taken us on an amazing and complex path just to get to this volume.
We now know there will be twelve more books beyond this one. So what does that mean for the road ahead? Why did I suggest that this volume is "critically important to the road ahead?"
Without giving away any spoilers, here is what I can tell you. The road so far has been some parts straight, some parts a bit winding, with plenty of bumps and twists throughout. But, in _Wizard Watch: Dragon Wars - Book 8: A Dragon Rider Fantasy Adventure Series, Halloran turns our plot road upside down, cranks it around into a Möebius strip, and then takes it completely off the map!
Get ready for a wild ride! Craig Halloran will have no problem keeping us fascinated throughout the rest of this superb series. The Blood Brothers rock the house!
Yet another brilliant offering in this series , the intrepid brothers need to visit the wizard watch tower to discover who is in who's bed. They find out soon enough black frost's tallons grip everywhere. Full of great action and robust characters who at times make grey cloaks life hell . I absolutely recommend reading this book.
