Diana Lancaster and Alexander Stirling didn’t survive the Titanic disaster. At least, that's what everyone believes to be true.
When Diana and Alex met on the Titanic, they knew their lives would be forever changed, but never imagined how they would be torn apart. Now, the two find themselves learning how to live after the disaster, each believing the other perished at sea.
As they struggle with their grief and work to build new lives for themselves in America, they have no idea how close they are to everything they ever wanted. Alex has a score to settle before he can truly be safe, and Diana encounters ghosts she thought were long gone.
In the middle installment of the three-book series, love will be tested, and friends and enemies will be revealed.
Dawn Ludlow has used books as a means of escaping reality for almost thirty years. She believes historical fiction is one of the best ways to learn about history (she's terrible at remembering facts and events without a story around it). She began her love of reading at an early age, but it was a copy of Little Women, which she earned with "bear passes" in fifth grade, that sparked her love of reading fiction about the past. She lives in Montana with her husband and three children where she is also a full-time teacher and coach. She loves enjoying the outdoors, playing card and table games with her family, and baking and eating many things.
I've read a few Titanic books. It seems they all have their main characters give false names upon being rescued on the Carpathian leading to a folly of misunderstandings . Also I'm sure the words teenager and grounded were not in vogue in 1914. And neither was a well to do father talking about "seeing a baby bouncing around in his daughter's belly!". Sorry
I can't think of anything I didn't like. What I did like the suspense. I felt drawn in so much, I cried in several places; I DO NOT CRY! I felt great relief when problems were solved. The end of the book is a cliff hanger like the first one. Everything seems to get more intense. I'm loving it. These stores are exceptionally well written. You have to read these books.
Second book in the Lancaster’s Love series, the story continues about Diana and Alexander, both who survived the Titanic disaster. Neither knows the other has survived and they both end up taking on new identities but live in proximity to each other outside of Chicago. Full of twists and turns, it was a good read. Moving onto the last book on the series next
Wonderful, fantastic, I literally could not put this down. This second novel was an emotional roller coaster where I laughed so hard, I cried, I wanted to scream at certain characters, I was frightened, and every other emotion. This is truly a wonderful love story that I found every single moment to continue not wanting it to end. So excited to start the third in this series
Fantastic story, Dawn Ludlow does a wonderful job with building her characters. I got so Attached !!!great book. Bravo!!! Lovely story with heartbeat and love to go with .it.
A great sequel to the first book (I might have enjoyed this one even a bit more)! So much suspense, and the author once again left the ending as a cliff hanger....ugh. Can't wait for the next one!!
This is book 2 in the Lancaster's Love trilogy, which is based on the sinking of the Titanic.
Diana Lancaster and Alexander Sterling didn't survive the Titance, or at least, that's what it seems. They both have taken on new identities for different reasons, her to mourn a lost love, him to hide from someone who haunts him.
Thus begins a story of mistaken identity and learning to move on from tragedy.
Just like the first book, this one is also very well written and the characters are even better than they were in the previous book. Diana becomes a strong person, having to cope with the death of everyone she loved on the ship, the adoption of a fellow survivor and finding her place in the place she calls home. Alex has ghosts that haunt him, the death of his Bonnie and his best friend, a survivor of the disaster, he watches his steps carefully and someone wants to cause him harm.
This is a story of learning to cope with loss and surviving a horrible tragedy, and it's tastefully written.
I found myself tearing up a few times in this book and shaking my head as the two lovers are just so close to finding each other again, if only they would just look up.
I sadly read this book so quickly because I loved it so much. It is for sure on my reread list!
When I finished the book, I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief as it seems like Happily Ever After is just around the corner......
I absolutely loved reading this really wonderful book! I loved everything about this wonderful book! I had a hard time putting this really wonderful book down! I will be reading he next book in this really wonderful series!
