I will from time to time add children's books to my reviews due to reading together with my daughter. I enjoyed this book, it was a quick format with an interesting story. It's was a great level of reading for my first grader.
Belle's review: She enjoyed the banter between Bub and duchess and how they reacted to the ghost. She also enjoyed the ending.
This continuation of Diary of a Pug was very cute. I had a hard time with Nana's hair though. I just kept thinking she was wearing a football helmet. Liked the sweet ending. And who doesn't love seeing rainbows throughout! My two pugs have been called scaredy pugs before so definitely relatable.
My son and I love this series. We have 2 pugs and relate to the characters. It is a cute light hearted series about a little girl and her pets. Great light read for early readers that is graphic novel like in nature. We highly recommend this series.
Diary of a Pug: Scaredy Pug is an absolutely thrilling book that will send shivers down your spine! It's all about Bob, Bella, and their friend Duchess visiting Bella's Nana's house. When they decide to explore the attic, where Bella wants to play, they hear a ghostly sound and actually see a ghost! They must solve a bone-chilling mystery to make it out of the attic alive. Will they ever escape?
One funny moment in the book is when they do a practice run of their plan to catch the ghost. Duchess got all tangled up in yarn while trying to throw it at the ghost, hoping to make it trip. It was so silly and had me laughing out loud.
The basic lesson I learned from this book is that it's important to face your fears. Bob, Bella, and Duchess are initially scared of the ghost, but they don't let that stop them from finding a way to solve the mystery. By facing their fears head-on, they were able to overcome them. It reminded me that sometimes if we confront our fears, we might just discover that they're not as scary as we thought. It's better to try and overcome our fears rather than let them hold us back forever.
Diary of a Pug: Scaredy Pug is an exhilarating and spooky book that keeps you hooked until the end. The suspense and mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat, and the lovable characters will capture your heart. I highly recommend this book to all brave young readers who enjoy a good scare and stories of friendship and bravery. So grab a copy, gather your courage, and dive into the hauntingly fun world of Bob, Bella, and Duchess!

This is a good book! It's a graphic novel for kids, which shows how to solve an everyday mystery, with a girl detective! It has really good comprehension questions at the end.
When the pink cat tells Bub the is a ghost in the attic at Grandma's house, Bub is very scared. But the girl decides to go up in the attic and search for the ghost. Fun series for 1st grade on up.
