This book was so damn good! Jessica never disappoints . Love the Freedom brothers 😍 Epic and Angel are my favorite. I'm so sad and confused about the ending I don't know what to think. I can't wait for part 2!!!!
This was an absolute vibe. This book gave me everything I wanted from an urban romance and then some. The Freedom Brothers are the definition of larger than life characters. Epic, Bishop, and Angel walk into every scene with so much charisma that it's impossible not to be entertained.
I completely understood why everyone around them either wanted to be them or be with them. What surprised me most was that beneath all the street politics, romance, and drama, there were relationships that felt genuine and emotionally charged.
This was one of those books where I found myself completely swept up in the world and having a great time with the characters. By the end, I wasn't ready to let go.
This group of cousin brothers had every emotion in me emerge through these pages. Bishop and Winter were my favs and I need more of them in the next books. Epic and Honey are my second favs because they are really enjoying each other but of course hurdles try to disrupt them. Paige and Angel have got to be the most disgusting characters I read they are so sneaky and Paige is so jealous I can’t stand her. This book showed me you can have a lot and strive to greatness but that wicked deception will eat you up and come back to hunt you. I can’t wait to finish this series
I will read EVERYTHING Ms. Watkins writes. This is a great book. I am just enamored with these Freedom brothers. They are definitely something else. Excited for book 2.
I actually really liked this story. It's definitely hood and gangsta with a touch of romance. I loved the bond of the cousins because it reminds you of the bond you have with your cousins and how that can be formed into something greater. Now these relationships going on is definitely crazy. Epic and Honey are super cute but they she ran off definitely had me feeling brokenhearted. Bishop and Winter are really weird but honestly I loved how she made him chase her after he wanted to front. Angel, Bre and Paige is definitely the craziest. Bre should be ashamed of herself and poor Paige just can't catch a break. Angel has to be real about what he really wants because I believe it can really ruin some things. That ending was definitely unexpected and about to cause some smoke in the Chi. Part 2 should be bananas
Epic, Angel and Bishop Freedom first cousins but raised as brothers have that street credibility but their woman need to be solid, able to stand toe to toe when needed and take them away from the everyday street life. Epic met Honey 🍯 and they needed each other;however the past may be too easy to forget? Bishop loved Amber and just knew she was the one but she did know that? Breonna loves her lifestyle but Angel is not who she wants but at what lengths will she go through to keep him while her cousin Paige fulfills her dream but attempts to stay away from the forbidden 🚫. Honey, Winter and Paige whale their own lives but these men could make it better or worse and not knowing someone has an itch for the Freedom Brothers and they are not going to stop at no costs! Part 2!!!!!
Brothers through different mothers but brothers the same…
Blood is thicker than water (don’t test Angel, Bishop, nor Epic) …
Ultimate disrespect and confusion at the end 1. Bella suddenly reappears… where was she… what’s her angle… 2. Bishop finally sees that Winter is colder than he is… 3. Angel has finally acted on his craving… will he keep his happiness… 4. How is Fabo gonna handle deceit once he connects how close A & P are… 5. Paige is caught up, which way will she turn… 6. Bre is manipulative… will it cause her to lose it all… or will she succeed… 7. Honey saw the gauntlet drop… will she allow Epic to explain… 8. Who is this mystery vigilante and why is he laser focused on the brothers…
Entanglements that can create dicey situations for all involved… Great suspense
Listen... The Freedom brothers are something else. Epic, Angel and Bishop Freedom are three men who play no games and aren’t afraid of much except love. This book is engaging from the first page to the very last. The women in the lives of these men are so much more than what they seem on the outside. Some women just want to be loved and others want to control what they can’t have. The story is filled with pearl clutching moments and moments of tenderness and vulnerability. I enjoyed the entire ride and I can’t wait for part two to drop!!! If you are looking for an escape during these stressful times, find your escape with the Freedom Brother. A little thug ain’t never hurt nobody!
Gotta love those Freedom Brothers. Epic finally found his peace with Honey then BOOM. A blast from the past. Why Bella Why Now. Where you been all this time. I need answers. Bre us a conniving, money hungry bih. I don't like her and her pray her secret is surfaced much sooner than later. If you act like a lady you would have had so much. Angel is too good for her. Will Bishop be the man responsible for Winter's happiness. I want him to make Kris eat all those harsh words towards Winter. Paige is using Fabo for a distraction cuz her love and loyalty isn't with him. I NEED PART 2 ASAP. This author definitely knows how to ruff your feathers on TO BE CONTINUED.
This book is a real page turner. Definitely had my attention from beginning to end. These characters were dealing with so much drama that you had to wonder will they ever have good moments to outweigh the bad. I really felt bad for Honey and Winter, strong women who wanted the best for their children but they had to deal with deadbeat and vindictive fathers. Bre is one sneaky and trifling chick who needs to feel the wrath of karma. As things seem to be going well for the Freedom Brothers and their love lives, the past resurfaces and an enemy is seeking revenge. So many unanswered questions regarding Bella, Sean and the mystery man lurking in the shadows. Can't wait to read what unfolds in part 2.
First time reading this authors work. I loved everything except, Paige and Angel hooking up. It's like you're glorifying paige and Angel lusting and sleeping with each other! Granted Bre ain't s**t, but, it's never okay for family to get with another family members ex no matter what the situation was, is, or isn't! I don't care who liked whom 1st Bre didn't force Angel to sleep with her. Quit making it seem okay for cousins to sleep with another cousins ex simply because they're a horrible person! Would it be acceptable if I divorced my husband then my sister ends up with him? Morally she wouldn't if she had any!
Wow. I’m loving this series. I knew Bella wasn’t dead. I can’t wait for Epic to find out that she faked her death and stole his money and product. Seem like she a junkie. I hope Honey moves on from Epic. She deserves happiness and living in the shadows of a supposed dead woman is not happiness. I think Winter and Bishop get their forever. Angel should have never fucked Paige. She deserves her own man not her cousin’s sloppy seconds. Impatiently waiting for the next book.
This was heavy on the action. I was happy for Honey but knew Bella would be back...sigh. Paige is so admirable and a good girl. Too bad she didn’t meet Angel first. Winter was difficult to relate to. I always wonder why people with kids stay in crime ridden areas. To know she had her mom as an option all along annoys me. She just can’t win when it comes to keeping her son safe. The Freedom brothers are straddling the fence between a legal life and the streets which just may be their downfall!
This was such an entertaining story from the very start to the ending, which by the way ends on a cliffhanger. The writer gives us a story on family and seconds chances on love. The fact that we get three men who make it out the game so to speak and just want to live, love and be with family. There are some surprises in this story that are going to leave you hollering. "no way".This is a good solid story, with a very good storyline. You are going to be on pins and needles wanting to read the next installment.
Somebody, anybody please tell me what just happened! I can't believe this book ended like it did. I disliked with a passion Marcus and Bre. Paige and Angel belongs together. Where has Ethic wife been all these years, about seven right. I liked Winter and Honey. This book was well written. I thought we would have a happy ending and that Bre's deception would be discovered. Who was the shooter? Was Sean with the wife. A good read, you will not be disappointed.
That ending is insane!!! Honey, baby keep running cause none has time to deal with a 5 year old ghost from the past!! I knew something fishy was going on with that story! I liked Honey and Epic but I mean he couldn't even verbally express his love for her! I don't know how to feel about Paige and Angel, I mean on one hand it is her cousins man, but bre is trash so I guess ill give them a pass!! Now Winter and Bishop are the couple I can actually see building something if bad things would just stop happening! On to part 2!!
There is a lot of drama the Freedom Brothers are a close band of cousins. The women that they meet are strong sisters doing what they have to do to take care of their family. Then there's the other kind all pretty and conniving this story has a lot going on in it so you really have to pay attention to follow what's going on. I'm enjoying this book and anxiously waiting to read part 2.
I really enjoyed this novel! The Freedom Brothers were real cool dudes. All had endured a great deal of hurt and loss but persevered! Paige, Winter, Honey and even Bella who was assumed deceased each held one of the brother's heart. The ending left me with so many questions so I just have to keep reading. That lying Brean, the truth must come out! Great start to a great series! Great job Ms. Watkins!!!
Ok so starting off immediately I knew this book would be one filled with drama, and all that other stuff. As usual Jessica doesn't disappoint. I loved reading about the Freedom brothers, their women and of course the good bad and ugly. I also thought the characters were explained in depth enough. Overall good book. Looking forward to part 2.
Why you had to end it like this there are so many unanswered questions.. where has Bella been all this time? When will Bre get caught? Who is the shooter and who got shot.. I read this book in one day I just couldn’t put it down it drew me in and boy was it good. The storyline was amazing and the brothers are amazing 😉.. I need the rest of the story NOW
The Freedom brothers umm!! Yeah I mend answers cuz that ending was not cool at all! I can’t stand Bre ass, Bella umm yeah something is off with her ass. I feel so bad for Honey 😢, and I hope that everything is ok with Winter, Bishop, Epic and Angel! But who is the shooter?? Damn! Hurry up part 2!!!
Only Jessica Watkins could write a story like this. This book was sooo good! I literally could not put it down. The Freedom brothers led interesting lives. From the women they fall for to their interactions with others, the Freedom brothers story is told in excellent thug fashion.
Idk know where to begin bcz the Freedom brothers whom seem to be the hot ticket to any hood girls dreams of living that boss status life. This story has so many twists and turns. I did kind of figured out pets of the story just bcz I love mystery but don't take my word just read it for urself. Happy reading
This book was soooooo good. I could not put it down! There are so many twists and unpredicted turns! Jessica Watkins you did that! I didn’t expect the ending and with the cliff hanger I’m rushing to get the next book! Definitely a good discussion book.
OMG! Jessica didn't disappoint but I know this can't end like this.
Bre trying to to Angel to be with her his going to be her downfall. Paige deserves her happily ever after and I hope she finds it. Winter needs to catch a break.. Too young to have so much heartbreak. Honey, damn! I feel so sorry for her she opened up and tried to let someone love her and then this?!
I'm here for the Freedom brothers and the drama which did not disappoint. I knew Bella would return so I felt bad for Honey. I hope Bishop makes it official with Winter so that she can get her son back and rub it in her baby daddy's face. I know it's going to be bad when Bre finds out about Angel and Paige. But she doesn't love Angel anyway and she needs to let him go.
This book was hot! I found it hard to stop reading this book. I fell in love with the Freedom Brothers. The story was so good. I enjoyed the drama and action. My predictions of Bella were right. I felt it. I’m excited to read part 2. I can’t wait to see what happens next because there’s so much going on.
