THE LOCKDOWN
Sometimes storms come into our lives to clear our paths. We might not know when we are going through the vagaries of the storm, but after it is over and the sky is calm, we come to realize this. It clears the obstacles, the blocks and the hitches that we had been nurturing in our minds, and suddenly the path seems lucid.
Who would have ever thought that there would come a day when all of us would have to be confined to our homes? All of a sudden, a minuscule virus arrives on the scene and mankind is caught on the wrong foot. In the battle against the virus, the only effective ammunition that we have to defeat it is to remain in our homes, and hence, the LOCKDOWN!
LOCKDOWN affected everyone across the world; it destroyed the economy, snatched the livelihood of millions of people and rendered people jobless. Yes, the ramifications of the LOCKDOWN were numerous, and its affect would be felt for months to come.
But there is always another side to every story, a side which is not much spoken about, not shown on TV, not written about in the newspapers, but nevertheless, a story which is known only to the people who have lived it.
Each of us has also seen positive changes in our lives during the lockdown period. We have learnt some new lessons, unlearnt old ones, done away with some old beliefs and made some new discoveries about ourselves.This book brings to you such stories which have not been told.
This book tells the story of six people with completely different backgrounds whose lives undergo changes due to the LOCKDOWN, a change for the better and a positive change. A good read for the current situation
Book Name- The Lockdown
Author- Rashmi Trivedi
Review- The Lockdown is a perfect description of our current situation. Spread of corona pandemic has resulted in the much adverse sight mankind could ever witness. With no discrimination between the rich and the poor it has hit everyone. We all have been reading about its effect on the nations but this book talks about the lives of common man and what is going on in their mini world which is left destructed after the spread of the pandemic. The life of 6 common people leading an ordinary life has been featured in the book. Each character going through a different set of hustle in their life, each unaware of what the future holds but are on the path of discovering some different aspects of life. There is indeed a lot of negative impacts of this situation with millions of people losing their only source of daily bread bu at the same time it has brought a pause on our greed and all we want is to lead a healthy life. The book features self-discoveries and a completely different side of the situation which should be read by everyone to keep oneself going in this tough time. All the characters are fictional but are indeed a reflection of our lives which many can relate to. It is a must read and a good pick for everyone as it has the potential to change our perspective towards the current situation and re-create our mindsets by bringing them on a positive track. The title and the cover goes well with the concept and are good enough to drag the attention of the readers.

Retrospective towards humanity
Almost everyone's life got impacted during this phase of the corona pandemic. During the lockdown, unpleasant, and unexpected incidents took place and in some, cases the almighty bestowed few unsung heroes who uplifted mankind with their support and effort. And instilled strength to fight against this virus. One such unsung heroes are Doctors who fearlessly helping others to fight against the virus is one such character, which was inscribed in the foremost chapter of this book and it also presented some other stories to highlight the incidents and deeds of almost everyone in this pandemic situation. The author also presented a few other characters such as aboard son and ill mother, broke up buddies, broken married couples and like that to elevate who we forgot the true meaning of life and, how we turned ourselves by not paying attention to the loved ones in this busy life in the rush towards earning money and fame.
21 days of lockdown announcement by PM shattered many hearts but brought together several spirits to enhance the situation and more importantly to have an introspection of ourselves. Characters in these stories marveled in a stringent manner to invoke the retrospection within us.

The book consists the story about the life of six different people during the lockdown. How their life changed due to the lockdown. I guess i don't need to write much about it as everyone of us known very well the situation of the lockdown during Covid-19.
The book tells how lockdown impacts the life. The current situation we are living in. What difficulties everyone is facing because of the Corona Virus Disease.
The stories of all six people are really gud. I recommend the book to all, you would definitely love it and also get attached to it because it is based on th current situation we are living in.

An interesting read .
The story is about 6 different characters who faces adversity before lockdown but with the lockdown they finally prioritise their relationship and understand the value of having near and dear ones always their for you .
It is realistic tale of common man .
Narration is simple yet affective .
It is simply powerful .
Characters are relatable.
Backgrounds and tales are relatable up to a personal level .
These are not real stories but it definitely achieves the feel of being authentic . I surely recommend THE LOCKDOWN to my readers .
